you will need to change the permissions to make it executable "chmod a+x filename.bundle" and then run it to install it you will probably need sudo priveleges so make sure to start it with sudo "sudo ./filename.bundle".
Will not allow me to log in to the Broadcom portal after completing the user registration. I entered the 6 digit code sent to my email and all. I followed your video to a tee, but when I went to log into the portal to download the workstation pro, it just states that "unable to sign in." I am not sure as to why I am getting this message just a month after this video went live. I wonder if either vmware or mainly broadcom has changed something, or has decided not to allow this to be free any longer.
That’s weird, did you try resetting your password. I just checked and my free account is still working and I am able to download and install the free for personal use VMware workstation pro.
Does not work... My Downloads does not look like yours. On My Downloads it says "Looks like you don't have any product entitlements" and there are no options to download it for free.
How to make something that should be easy unnecessarly complicated, thanks for the video. Unfortunaly I'm afraid they changed a lot of things since you recorded it.
Thanks for your feedback! I just checked, and from what I can see, everything still looks the same. Could you let me know specifically what changes you're noticing? That would help me address any updates in the video more accurately. Appreciate the help!
That's true, but I personally would not recommend it over free VMware Workstation Pro, specially if it's for personal use on non-linux host. However, if you're hosting on linux, that's a whole another story.
My downloads now shows products, because i followed Article ID 309355 on how to download VMware workstation player, but it still says i do not have the product entitle, for free player version wow
The free personal use license for VMware Fusion and Workstation is now integrated directly into the product. Simply download Fusion 13.5.2 or later, or Workstation 17.5.2 or later to access the free personal use edition. This feature is not available in earlier versions, and free licenses can no longer be obtained for them. To use the free personal edition, you must install version 13.5.2 or later. I will try to update the video.
I was just about to say the exact same thing. I counted 42 times in the space of 6 minutes! This is beyond excessive (especially for a phrase that is completely pointless and serves no linguistic purpose).
finally a video that helped. thank you
Glad it helped
I am under vmware cloud foundation, but not able to download VMware Workstation Player 17.5.1 it is showing not entitled
You would want to go to WMware Workstation Pro not Player 4:44.Make sure to select the one for personal use.
i am using linux and got a .bundle file what to do for that?

@TechTute thank you for the reply. I will try to reset the password and try again.

After Clicking "I agree toTerms and Conditions" The arrow symble showing me "NOT Entitled"
Hi, can you confirm you are in My Downloads under VMware Cloud Foundation and not under Mainframe software or Enterprise software or so?
@@TechTute can u help me because the same thing is happening to me
@@xtx1 Apologies, I missed your message earlier. Let me know if you're still facing the issue, and I'll try to help you.

@@TechTute Yes that was it! I skipped that part of the video... Thank you so much! I will like and subscribe
Awesome! I am glad it was an easy solution. Thank you for subscribing!
How User unfriendly shall we make it, Broadcom: YES
Feels like they’re trying to hide it, doesn’t it.

@@TechTute My mistake, I did a passage wrong. Thanks for the guide I would have been completely lost without it.
@@LittleLion93 I'm glad the guide was helpful-happy to help anytime.
Super bro 🎉
Thanks
I will go ahead :D
Please do ;)
@@TechTute I did go ahead but i am getting this message: ''Account verification is Pending. Please try after some time.''
@@basicelement you can try and "go ahead" again after some time, if the issue persist I would recommend reaching out to broadcom support for help.
People are using pro version/commercial use for free, how?
i want too>>>
Yes, as of couple weeks ago the pro version is available for free for personal use. All you need to do is create Broadcom account and download it.
Thanks , turns out there's a trick haha
you're welcome!
KVM and QEMU.
what about it?
@@TechTute it's free and open source

Can't even find the free VM Player anymore

No offense, but the amount of times I heard "go ahead" was kinda disturbing to me.
None taken! Thanks for sharing your feedback. I'll keep that in mind going forward.

You need to do a new video... AGAIN... Half of what you are describing is different now. :D
🤦♂️Thanks for letting me know!
@ricande can you tell me what has changed, I am on broadcom's portal and everything seems to be the same.
