Update for anyone watching this after the release of A10C-II. The flight model has been updated in both models (primarily a fix for drag being a bit off) and the A10C now does not stall early in a turn as shown. In general it's a much more nimble bird now, and the overall feel is smoother too! Appreciate these tutorials, I've been away from DCS and the A10C for a few years due to r/l issues, this is a great help in getting back in the saddle.

Good write up. I'm going to eventually get around to updating these videos.

That was a real good lesson about using the trim. Thank you for making it clear.

Bought the A-10C module about 7 yrs ago but didn't have the PC or the time to really learn it. Now i'm getting back into DCS and enjoying learning this wonderful little plane. Thanks for the video

My uncle pretty much flew his 172 using trim more than the yoke, and crazy rudder. Great video, appreciated.

Very well made tutorials. I like how you give us pieces of information based on your real pilot skills! Informative and accurate.

Hi. I really like your videos. Like you I am RL pilot. During a DCS mission I had the left engine shot out. Normally I would just apply and hold rudder to keep the ball in the centre. But this time I had a long way to go so I chose to use rudder trim. In the real world you turn the trim wheel or turn a knob TOWARDS to the live engine to counteract the asymmetric yaw. But on my hog it wanted it turned the opposite way. Is this a military thing or has DCS got it wrong? Its no big deal as I know what to do now, but its counter-intuitive. I just wonder if it is set wrong in controls options. Any thoughts appreciated.

11:05 You can have something similiar to 'seat-of-the-pants' feeling, though - with a butt-kicker, or even better yet, a JetSeat. It's an amazing but rather costly addition to a flight pit..

In aviation as the load factor increases the stalling speed increases too, so this is realistic

You use rudder during turns? I know it's not fly by wire so TECHNICALLY you should coordinate your turns but I pretty much never do. lol

I’d like you to do a video a little more detailed on jtac and communication with air and ground units.
Another video request would be, how to get your Hotas to sink with a10c and CII

best explanation by far and should have more subscribers. One problem I have is i can never get the plane to stay level on a turn. It is either going down or flying up. Help please?

You need to add some backpressure or nose up trim when turning. Fly to keep your velocity vector on the horizon line.

Am I the only one who kinda misses the old a10 cockpit?
