I don’t even watch these types of videos. The better route is to pause it and read the comments to find out what are actually the best 1911s you can buy.
I have a nighthawk. And I have shot a Wilson. I also have a Kimber custom. The Kimber out shoots the nighthawk greatly. As for a Wilson, I say there equal .

You might want to rethink this video, as a rock island, auto ordinance, are low cost low quality guns. Majority of the guns on the list are far from the best 1911. No mention of Cabot, Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, or other 1911s that are far better built guns.

I agree with you 1,000 percent! I have a Wilson Combat Professional model 1911 in 45 acp. It is the finest, most accurate and best shooting semi auto pistol that I have ever owned. It was not cheap, but it is worth every dollar I paid for it.

Nighthawks and Wilsons are the best - hands down.
I have only 1911's and the latest is a Tisas 1911 A1 "ASF" U.S. Army 9. Surprisingly good 1911 for the money...

My exact thought, the RIA picked over Dan Wesson, Wilson combat, Ed brown etc
The Brazilian Army used to use a version produced locally by the public company IMBEL (belonging to the Army) of the 1911 pistol with Large Capacity (14+1) and a cold-hammered barrel and also came with 3 magazines.
Unfortunately, IMBEL stopped manufacturing this weapon just over 1 year ago.

I've shot just about every model and make of 1911. You name it, I've shot it.. All of them work just fine (hit the target accurately).
I think they were showing Average Joe pistols not custom shop high $ weapons like Wilson Combat etc. IMO. Have 2 1911 Rugers Standard and Officers and love them both

Other than a Sig .40 my cheap Remington 1911 R1 is the most out of the box accurate pistol I have. I have Kimber, S&W.

It’s a good video that could be called best 1911s they blue collar people can buy. All the pistols are good and it was good to see a list that isn’t Wilson, Night Hawk, Cabot and so forth. We already know they are top tier.

I thought this video was to show the best 1911 pistols. No Les Baer, Ed Brown, Dan Wesson or other custom or semi custom quality proven 1911's. Seriously?

Respectfully sir, your 1911 selections reviewed were very far from the best 1911s on the market.
Wilson Combat, Nighthawk, Ed Brown, Les Baer, are the top four custom 1911s on available on the market today. You are comparing production 1911s and only had one custom hand made fine 1911 in your review.
@@robcox9355you are talking about the most expensive ones !!! Those brands are to be in the safe not in action , colt and Springfield plus Rock islands are to be in the field those are 1911 s to be used ! The ones that you mentioned are the top pricy but not the best!!!!!
@@alonsogomez5694 I have 2 Les Baers and 1 Ed Brown SF .45. They are used and carried. I donr abuse them or throw them around or drop them on the ground. I shoot them, then clean them, and put them away. Thry take nightstand rotation loaded wirh 230 grain +P JHPs. I carry them occasionally as I live in a constitutional carry state.
They are not safe queens. They go with me if I have to go to dark alleys. My Ed Brown SF has wear marks, very light scratches, and tiny nicks. My Les Baers have some holster wear and the boueing is wearing off on one of them. They all run better than almost all factory 1911s out of the box.
The comments are f-ck-n AMAZING !!!!! You look down on "blue collar" like it's a disease. You think ya gotta be able to spend 5 k on a custom that won't even run till you " Break it in". Yet you'll spend BIG money for a G.I. that was constructed out of several drums full of mixed parts that you can bury in mud run over with a truck and then defend yourself. All logic has left the interweb y'all win.
Wrong Smith model. The pro series is great! But performance center scandium frame SW1911's are rumored to never fail to feed and never fail to eject. One guy even said his has never jammed... Ever. Pretty solid endorsement all things considered. But there are so many in the comments below that are just as good or better and they didn't make this list. 🤔
