This was a great watch, mate. I can't fathom diving 40+ metres. Very respectable! It's always interesting to see what fish are generally bigger and smaller in comparison between the East and West Coast. Cheers for the good viewing 🍻
Would love to watch the full dive on some of those deeper drops from duck dive to re surfacing!! Be awesome if you could talk us through the full dive/ breath up and share your process. That’s very Impressive diving mate 🤙🏽
I do think their method is intentionally left out as guys would copy and attempt these extreme dives. Diving like this, even with ability, takes years. Plus you need people who you trust to have your back. No place for ego's.
Absolutely fantastic, my second favorite video of you with the one with the red emperor and purple cod records. That's what i'm waiting for you : rare and record fish on Virgin and deep spots. That's spearfishing 🙏👏👏👏👏👏
Seriously impressive diving there. Appreciate in OZ there is quite a bit of diving done way off shore on reef systems. What do you guys do for safety that far off shore?
I have a spot like this in Nicaragua that no one has ever hit the bottom. 150ft we shoot all our reds mid water but there is no telling what is on the bottom. Come try it. HMU
Having done this as young man I have now grown up and would never do it again. These are sad buggers with now lives! Whats wrong with a camera, there is no need to kill what you have come to see.
@@brad1840 you obviously don't know Tim for 1 He shares all fish he don't eat with his church and people there and friends and family and 2 his been diving for years his actually helped marine biologist do research by donating fish frames to them for research so his last person to ruin a spot he loves the ocean and spearfishing is most sustainable way of fishing and if shooting 10 fish on a trip to you is ruining a spot you have no clue what the ocean is like everyone knows why people do hate comments online its sad to see actually don't like seeing people jellous with no life's hating themselfs portraying it onto others but it's ok we can be friends just gotta learn to be more respectful 😊😊😊
Hey mate I made the statement at about 6:30, with big schools of large Red Emporer in the 11-14kg range it’s pretty obvious it hasn’t been dove before. Add to that it’s a rock about 50m long, 20m wide in 46 meters about 110km from the closest boat ramp. I think those things make it a bit self evident.
Did you subscribe?
Man casually doing an aguado in 46m of water like its nothing. You really are a beast !!
Always a good day when I see the Spearfishing down under notification. Epic watch during the lunch break.
Awesome mate, glad you’re loving it!!!

Cheers James, yeah absolutely epic!!!
Epic as always mate. Looks familiar that spot ;-)

Actually about 1 Km away from the spot your thinking 😊
Would love to watch the full dive on some of those deeper drops from duck dive to re surfacing!!

Hey mate, that’s the sort of thing I love to watch aswell, but this becomes a long Video if we do that. Something we may do in the future though

2:25 that looks like a bowmouth guitarfish which would absolutely incredible if you were able to come across one of them.
Yeah definitely is, I’ve seen a number of them over the years. Always have Cobia hanging with them.
I've seen them off mooloolabah!

Dam tim, 50m looks like gods gift for a smorgasbord of dinners on that ledge cracking vid mate that's epic 👌
Yeah incredible spot that one!!
The fish life is so incredible!!

Fantastic video Tim. You and Bryson REALLY need to come here and hook up with Don Solomon
Definitely love to do that some day!!
Thanks for the code Tim, I just bought the Black wetsuit as I love the Green one (I had to repair the arm from a Wobby bite)
Yewww epic mate!! Enjoy it!!
Epic video mate, chuffed to find the channel. Roughly how long is your breathhold on a dive at that depth?
Cheers mate glad you’re loving it!!!
Those dives are 2:00-2:30ish mins
Yeah boi!!
Thanks James
Insane!
Seriously impressive diving there. Appreciate in OZ there is quite a bit of diving done way off shore on reef systems. What do you guys do for safety that far off shore?
Safety as in looking after dive buddies we make sure we are on top of each other as much as we can be
Nah. More if the boat breaks down? Is Coastguard the go to there?
@@snoop2477 yeah we have coastguard, water police and marine rescue. Hard to get radio coverage out that far though
Might be worth getting an AIS safety device. Just some added protection out that wide
Epic video. Some great fish. Drop weighting the deep stuff?
That’s crazy deep spearing well done so jealous I can’t even do half
Cheers
10:00 so that’s where my Jerry cans have been all this time.
Well you weren't using them😅
lol, when you get 100km offshore and realise you have no float in the boat you make do 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I couldn’t believe no one else had commented 🤣😂
Improvise, adapt, overcome.
@@DanielMann lol 100%
Thought was using as drop weight system to dive lol not a float
What boat do you have? Is it v16r or 17, looking to get the same?
I have a 16t and a 17r
Hi my brother, do you have a video of the way you rig your line? Also, what type of floating line do you use?
Hey my brother, do you mean the rig line or the shooting line?
@@Spearfishing-Downunder Both. I struggle with my mono coming lose after a certain amount of shots.
@@delstep2255 I use a reel and connect reel line directly to the spear
Before reels I always had a gun bungee so the mono can stretch
@@Spearfishing-Downunder Thanks my brother.
Far out that’s some deep spearing! Have you ever run into issues diving spots that deep like lung squeeze etc?
Hey mate, no not had any lung squeezes but had a few mates that have had lung or throat squeezes
Had a few mates do ear drums aswell
What is your deepest freedive? Your PB’s with FIM, by fin, no fin pretty please. Love the vids and thanks!
Hey mate I only freedive to spearfish so I’ve never dove without fins, I’m not sure what FIM means and the deepest I’ve shot a fish is 53m
Epic
Cheers mate
What happened to the lost spear gun? Do they float ?
Never saw it again!! That Jobfish still swimming around somewhere with it hanging out of it 🤣
how can you train to dive that deep? amazing video!
I just try to dive regularly
The mental side is very important at these depths
great red emperor
Cheers
Hello from republic of Palau.
Hey Tim how long is your breath hold diving 46M?
Hey mate, usually in the 2-2:30 range maybe a little longer with hunting the snapper.
Can be shorter, swimming straight up and down could be 1:30
why know one was in the boat
Full up bro
Wow mantap sekali master
Thanks mate
Bro you gotta make a video on how you got your breath hold that good
Lots of dive practise and time
what happen to the gun on the job fish? is it lost?😁
Lost never to be seen again 🤣😂
@@Spearfishing-Downunder crap🤣🤣 thats brand new🤣🤣😁🤙
@@SpearoWannabe tag and release he is still swimming around with it somewhere 🤣😂🤣😂
Hadir pendatang baru kawan mtp sukses slalu slm fishing
You must be fit as to dive 150ft and lay on the bottom and set fish up fuck that is amazing your good really good
That's about 4 x deeper than my hunting depth. Impressive.
Cheers mate
Men..you finished them off!…secret place burn out!..
There is a reason these fish are so deep, idiots like these have taken all the big fish in the shallower waters.
I have a spot like this in Nicaragua that no one has ever hit the bottom. 150ft we shoot all our reds mid water but there is no telling what is on the bottom. Come try it. HMU
Sounds like a great spot!!
How is blud diving that deep
Blud?

Amazing breath holding as a free diver for 40years why kill the biggest fish ? Is it for your UA-cam or ?
Definitely not for my UA-cam, the biggest one usually gives the greatest challenge and the greatest amount of meat to eat 😊
What a cowardly thing to do to that gorgeous fish! Do you feel manly now?
Yes 😂
@@novizadventures 😂😂
True flog… don’t like it, don’t watch it 🖕
Do you prefer blokes ?
Found a great reef and completely cleared it out with more fish than we could eat in a year and ruined the spot. Yea hectic...
