If i cant be out on an adventure with RV, then at least watching him get after it is a good enough substitute. Of course - before he was R.V. To everyone we knew him as pathfinder... I can only imagine what fun will take place on this channel in the future
I grew up with a cottage 2 miles south of Northport, every free day/summer vacation/ holiday spent there from when i was 3 in 1997 until until it was sold in 2012. God i miss it up there.
So well done man....I'm just amazed at how well you put these together. It's funny, I JUST made a short video about that airfield made of field stone--what a work of art.
I'm from Mackinaw City and live in Grand Rapids now. I did my first long solo flight from Cheboygan over the Fox Islands and back when I was training in high school over a decade ago. They looked like such cool hidden gems! Thanks for the video! Loved it! Definitely subscribed now 😆
I saw this last night and as soon as I saw the plane, I knew what it was. My dream plane, the Navion. What were your observations and feelings about it? I would love to hear it. I have time in a Piper Tomahawk I restored and in a Meyers 200d. If you ever get the chance to fly a Meyers, grab it. Loving the channel and yours and Poppins adventures.
Navion is a great aircraft. It has its personality faults like any aircraft. It's a great over the water plane, with temperamental flaps, grumpy landing gear when retracted, excellent view, good speed and roomy. Price is usually great. Most pilots make fun of it. 😂🤣
@@RestlessViking Yeah, roomy it what I like the most. Flying the Tomahawk you are kinda side saddled in the cockpit. I like a man sized airplane. My other choice is a Cherokee 6.
They discourage flying under 2,000 AGL over National Parks I believe. It is considered “Best Practice” and voluntary, but almost all pilots avoid them. The lands are depicted on charts.

Outstanding video, Jim was a good friend of mine. If you ever look to close at the aircraft logs, you will see my name all over them...
Great to meet you! I used to have coffee every week on Friday with Jim. We miss him much!
Nice to see stuff about Michigan. Thanks.

What are the rules about flying over Sleeping Bear Dunes I wonder?

You're on the wrong island

Soloed at Woolsey Field. That would be an adventurous solo for sure!
The demons on that island are many. So crazy to think people just camp out there now….
