I just listened to your latest video where you explained some of the reasons for your move. I am very sorry to hear about your anxiety. I too have suffered with anxiety and depression so I understand how you feel. I hope you get your home. I think you will feel better if you have your own place. Thinking of you. Your stronger than you think
I'm crossing my fingers that you are fortunate it to get the house that you found! Right now, I wish I was working on a big diamond painting. My sister and I have chronic anxiety, and my Mom had anxiety, too. It's also culture shock that you could be experiencing, too. It will all work out.
Keeping my fingers, toes and legs crossed for you getting the house you want. Anxiety is my middle name since I lost my Husband. Everything is different and scary. Some days I can’t even leave the house. But I just sit in my little chair and decide what I want to do and go from there. It’s hard but I have no choice, I just go on alone and pray I make it through. So I do know how you feel. Sending hugs and prayers. Love you and really enjoy your videos. Theresa. 🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Daphne! ✨ I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this house will be yours 🧡🧡🧡 I'm optimistic! I would love to watch videos about your move and what life is like in Canada and what the differences are. I'm looking forward to these videos and I will definitely watch them. Sending lots of hugs and good energy ✨
Good luck in your journal of life. I started diamond art when I found out I have colon cancer. I’m a big crafter but couldn’t do any of that, so on to diamond art. Gets my mind off of the treatment and relaxing me. My goal is to start a craft business. Good luck!
Thinking of you & praying for your new home offer to be accepted, so that you can feel more settled & that things are moving forward in a positive way for you. 🙏💕 I have been to/thru Canada once or twice in my 57 yrs & know basically nothing about what it'd be like to move there, etc. Hubby & I want to go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls someday, but anything you share with us would be very interesting. You have been my top YT Creator since I found your channel... that won't likely change anytime soon! ❤❤❤😅😊 Hang in there!
I totally understand what you're feeling just now... I moved from the States to Scotland and the drastic change was really hard on me my first year here... everything is so different, the rest of my family is so far away... I moved here and then we immediately went into lockdown so I was also stuck at home 24/7...all I can offer is hang in there and while life often preaches at us to "look at the big picture", for me that can just be too overwhelming and I need to just look at today to manage my stress. Hang in there and I'll send all my warm fuzzy/chill out vibes your way! 🙂
@@GreenTexasLass I can’t imagine moving that far and then immediately going into lockdown. Some days going out for a drive is the only thing that helps maintain my sanity. I’m hoping to maybe do some volunteer work as well, just to keep me occupied. Thanks for watching!!
When I'm having a bit of anxiety, I use diamond painting to help me out of it. With each drill I place I say, "every day in every way life is getting better and better." (or easier and easier - or healthier and healthier). It is such a great meditative mantra and it really helps my brain to ease up.
I just finished a big DAC DP, Countryside Cottage, as I finished listening to this video so great timing and i am feeling accomplished. Going to do a nice smaller round one now. Thanks for the entertainment. The way things done in Canada sound very similar to NZ.
Be kind to yourself. As a frequent mover, the first place we would go was the library. You might find some community events or experiences to try. See the history museum? In the Alberta territory, the Asian community came with the railroad and is so interesting. Oh, and all the best on your home hunting. I know you will feel better when you have an actual diamond painting space and filming space. Please keep in mind things like Radon tests may have different levels of tolerance in Canada. All regions have different things of concern- like bugs in the South East are more of a concern than bugs in the North West of the US 😊 hang in there.
Hi Daphne, Thank you for the WIP and Chat. Like you I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I am severely ADHD with Clinical Depression. Anxiety and panic attacks can develop anytime they feel like it. My Psychiatrist changed my medications and I am starting to feel calmer. I felt for the first three years in Downey, I was on vacation, despite being in high school. There are plenty of trips to take through out the Marainetime area of Canada. Enjoy your trips.
As someone who deals with the hormone issues that come with PCOS and perfectionist anxiety, make sure you look over your vitamins and other micronutrients. When I don't have enough vitamin D in me, it's so noticeable to me. A lot of doctors don't pay enough attention to these sort of things. It doesn't hurt to check either way. Happy placing!
My very first canvas is done - well until I look close and see that there is a drill missing here and there. Been working on it since 4 AM -- and it is 5 of 4 PM now. I have to find a frame tomorrow and get it wrapped. It is call Best Friends and yes that's who it is for - she is moving from MD to SC on the 13th of Feb. So time for some football, and I might get in the shower.
Honey it sounds like you are just feeling homesick. I have anxiety and over think everything. I really think you will feel better after you get in the new house. Try some meditation and try to stop overthinking. Love listening to you. We have a lot in common both of us are Aquarius....we definitely get overwhelmed, over think, and can't stand change. I totally understand. Sending you good vibes and healing.❤❤❤

Hi Daphne. I'm sending love your way, and I'm keeping you in my prayers. One thing that I tried years ago when I had awful anxious was eating protein for breakfast. I learnt from a psychologist that if you ate a protein heavy, fat heavy breakfast it would help anxiety. The idea was to have a very big breakfast, about double what you'd normally eat and it would really settle down my anxiety levels. It's got something to do with your blood sugar levels. As soon as you wake up have a hearty breakfast. Just avoid carbs in the morning. I'm not saying you have to go carnivore or anything like that. You've had such an upheaval Daphne, so try to be gentle with yourself. 🩷 I've found when I do loving things for myself like giving myself a facial I can handle things much better. I finally have a new date for my surgery. It's the 29th of January. I'll be relieved when that's over and done with. I think having a day trip will be good for you as it's something to look forward to. Take care. Hopefully next week will be better for you.🩷🩷🩷

In many areas where there is granite bedrock in the earth, you will have radon emissions you will need to test for. Radon was the second leading cause of lung cancer when we last researched. We had radon testing done when we bought our house and the levels were a bit high. We had a radon mitigation system installed as we planned on staying here for many years. The realtor isn't entirely wrong, but who wants to keep their windows open in the winter? We live in norther NY and we certainly don't want to do that. Heating bills are bad enough here. The newer your home, the more airtight it is and the more essential it is to install a mitigation system. Just do your homework and don't necessarily rely on what the realtor told you, while still keeping it in mind. Susan
@@skems5 The advice to open windows was from our realtor in the US. It is a more common problem up here, but we plan to test and then mitigate if we need to. Thanks for watching!!
Hi as someone just diagnosed (thyroid problems were only the newest symptom) ask if you need a igg4 test. If you have any other immune problems it’s more likely. It’s taken over 3 years of everyone saying we have no idea. I hope it’s not but it would be good to rule it out. I hope you don’t mind the suggestion, I just would not wish the last few years I had on anyone and it could have all been avoided or at least mitigated with treatment. Sending good vibes for the house. 🧡🖤🧡🥰
Oh, my. I'm early. I'm at 11:45 in on the video. You were talking about not being able to "regulate" yourself. My first thought was "how old are you?" Menopause and para menopause are periods of absolute chaos biologically and psychologically. When I went through it, I thought I was going insane. Couldn't regulate what I said, what I did, what I was thinking, the whole nine yards. It may not change anything by knowing. But, know you are not alone. If it is menopause, it will eventually pass. Hang tight.
Try connecting with a FB or better yet, in person, group of people who are ex-pats. You area moving out of the honeymoon period and this is the period of time that causes the most anxiety for people who don’t usually struggle with anxiety. Especially for women. So those of us who live with anxiety regularly, this time can be VERY difficult, like unavoidably and uncontrollably difficult. I love that you’re giving yourself a break by accepting yourself.
I pray that things are more settled soon. I think initially you were wanting to get moved and get it all done but it didnt seem like you gave a whole lot of thought to how it would affect you. I can tell that you are not a selfish person at all because I think if it were me that all I would have been thinking about. Not to be selfish but just the unknown and leaving where I had lived my whole life. It not fun for big changes sometimes. It looks like my job is streamlining and about 750 people may be out of a job in the near future. We dont know how soon or any details. We dont know if we will be just laid off or get severance packages or anything. The unknown and it causing big life changes is very scary so I can relate to what you are going through. I am diamond painting and cross stitching but I havent set one goal or made a plan. I feel kinda paralyzed with all thats going on so I just do whatever seems to calm me in my spare time.
