    Lissette this video was awesome, your details and thoroughness are top notch. I actually love prepping and will begin kitting up my JWall - first week of Feb - Late night.

    Looking forward to following along with your progress on this painting. I prefer to work out of baggies. I like that I don't have to kit up or down. I put the stickers on my baggies. I also put my baggies in numerical and DMC order. So if I ever do one of these max color Josephine Walls I would do the same.

    Great idea, Lisette! I can see what you mean about the prep being a lot of work, but then the actual diamond painting process is smoother and more enjoyable. Very awesome!

    I really like your kit up system and it makes total sense to me. The painting looks beautiful and I can't wait to see the progress. I probably wouldn't be able to handle so many colors myself and I would feel overwhelmed, but I am full of admiration for you. Greetings from Poland 💙

    Your kit up system for large projects makes so much sense! I want to do a Wall canvas at some point but I am still in my detox so no buying one yet. I'm going to earmark this video so in a couple years when I finally buy one, I can review😂

      Hi Grace - keep up the good work with your detox. You'll be able to get a JWall in the future.

    This kitting up system makes total sense to me, especially for a project with some many colors. I have used similar concepts for larger diamond paintings. If I have enough, I also have the option to kit up in the large and small Trabricks. The Diamond Art Club new tray style works for this too. I love not having to constantly pour drills, so I may try that when I get my first Josephine Wall pieces.
    I'm looking forward to following along and seeing how you like this company.
    I watch for the content, but as a bonus I find your voice very calming. You could start a channel just telling stories 😂

    I kit up by color- people who kit up by symbol boggle my mind! 😂 the only time I would do that would be on a mystery kit that doesn’t have the “base” color, but I still find your process fascinating!

      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      I need to try by color - just to see if I like it - not with a max color project though..

    I kit up by colors. A XL project like Josephine Wall I most likley would kit up by similiar symbols. Looking forward to seeing your progress.😃

    I love your system. I would suggest organizing in a rainbow effect for all the strange symbols that don't match anything. For example, the large round containers without similar symbols put into a rainbow grouping. I saw that suggestion on someone's UA-cam channel and it has helped me a lot!

    I use the same kitting up process. After doing a J Wall I found it easier to kit up by groups; numbers, letters then symbols. The only difference is a just refill my containers. Looking forward to an update on the kit, I'm looking to purchase another XL kit. Have a great week! 💠🩷💠

    Thank you so much for showing us this way of kitting up. I’m still relatively new to DP and I’m just now starting to do larger projects so these are great ways to organize the drills. I’m definitely going to try to do it your way for my next kit.

    Wow thats a lot of Drills 🙈😜 i can understand your system. For all the very “ Similar symbols “. They can be
    Very annoying . Great system you have for your self 😊 Oh yes the kitting up and Down can take ages. But i rather
    Be well prepared for Starting .
    Succes with this project the colour are so pretty 😍 looking forward to your progress video 🥰

    I’m really looking forward to seeing your progress and finish on this beautiful JWall. Your kit up makes perfect sense to me; all your work on the front end will save you a lot of time while completing this XL canvas. Enjoy, 😊 depending on the canvas, I kit up by symbol or color. I never refer to the legend on the canvas. If the kit is multiple shades of each color then I kit by color group; typically I kit by symbol. I keep my ABs separate from all others because I place them first in each sectioned off release paper square. I use the EW trays but have others as well. Thank you Lisette! ❤

    Hoi Lisette. Wow, dat leek een behoorlijke klus! Maar je hebt het wel ontzettend goed doordacht.
    Ikzelf heb alles in zakjes zitten. Je kunt in Egypte niet dat soort systemen kopen en meenemen in de koffer neemt te veel ruimte in beslag. En ach, ik doe ook geen projecten van meer dan 100 kleurtjes! 😉
    Ik heb mijn vorige project klaar, Ramadan Mubarack. Erg mooi geworden. Ben nu aan een nieuwe begonnen, Tiger Lily.
    Gaat niet erg snel want heb afgelopen week een staaroperatie gehad. Volgende maand mijn andere oog en dan moet ik in het vervolg een leesbril op.
    Ik wens je veel succes en ,ijk uit naar je volgende update over dit project! 👋👋

    I like the way you kit up and arrange your drills. I have adopted that system for me too. I also want to buy a Josephine Wall from The one with the Diamond Art - called the Secret Garden. It's a bit expensive for me being in Canada with our poor exchange rate. But I have never done a JW canvas before and want to try one. (with poured glue...) I really like your video's and watch them all as soon as they come out.

    • @LisetteCraftsandTells
      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      Yes, the secret garden is lovely and you can only get it from TOWTDA, because DPD doesn't have it in their collection. So that's one decision less to make. These diamond paintings are very expensive (from both companies) so I can totally understand that it's quite an investment. You do work on them for a long time though lol.. I hope to be able to provide as much info as I can in my updates, but if you have questions don't hesitate to contact me.

    I bought an Elisabeth Ward system (a fake one tho) and I'm not a fan!
    I'm usually kitting up by color or by serial numbers😅 I want it done as fast as possible 😅
    But when they're not in baggies I do it by amount and by color afterwards 😅

  • @ElisaMariaDesigns
    @ElisaMariaDesigns 14 днів тому +1

    Hey lady, how are you ? Thank you for taking the time to show us how you kit up these large kits. I know there must be some logical reason why symbols are not already categorized, but why are S and 5 always next to each other ? 4 and H ? 3 and E (fun with dsylexia with that combo)? I kit up the same. I get to know my symbols first, then kit up by category... numbers including +, -, ×,=,#, /,% all go together. Then letters, arrows, shapes, weather elements, etc. I tried DMC codes when I switched to the ArtDot system, but after taking drills off 2x, I gave that up. I do miss my EW containers, but I can have 120 containers for the same size of the EW. I am going to follow your link so I can see all the JW canvases during the event. Hope you are enjoying the New Year! ❤❤❤

    • @LisetteCraftsandTells
      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      Hi dear Elisa Maria - yes, I'm always surprised when they produce symbol combinations that are so obviously confusing, but okay..we'll deal with it. Yes, the DMC code method doesn't work for me either. You just reminded me that I didn't put up the links ....;will get on it now. LOL....

  • @DiamondsandDobermans
    @DiamondsandDobermans 13 днів тому

    I kit up by DMC. I use the big mama jama ArtDot 420 bottle suitcase and keep it on a chair next to me, so it’s off the table and out of my way. Worked for me, and by the end of the second release paper I had them pretty well memorized. I can’t wait to kit up my next JWall. Should be right after I finish the March Chuck A Long. Meanwhile I’ll enjoy your journey while you work on this kit, TFS!❤
    Update: I’m working on a kit from TOWTDA and just ran out of a color on the very first row, third piece of release paper. I’m pretty upset. Just an fyi

    Hoi, let bij dit systeem (potjes) wel op dat ze alle 4 goed gesloten zijn(!). Ik ben daarmee gestopt, want sommige vielen eruit zodra klepje wat lam werd of niet goed gesloten 😐. Hopelijk zijn die van jou van betere kwaliteit. Succes!!

      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      Ha ha ha - ja, dat snap ik. Het is al een paar keer gebeurd helaas. Mijn klepjes zijn gelukkig niet lam, maar als ze dat gaan worden zal ik verder moeten kijken - want dat lijkt me een heel groot probleem. Groetjes

    I also group by numbers, letters, symbols. Much easier to locate and as you mentioned in other JWall videos you do get familiar with location of where the symbols are in the bottles. I did not have stickers and their legends so small I had to enlarge and and cut and tape them to the bottles. Took me a month for the whole kitting up process 😮

    Hi Lisette,I can see why you use these containers for 200 colours. Elizabeth Wards would take up too much space. I also kit up by symbols, but I don’t do max colours. That would stress me out. Looking forward to your progress though. ❤

    • @LisetteCraftsandTells
      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      @LisaNewf 13 днів тому

      @@LisetteCraftsandTells I prefer mostly color blocking with some confetti. I don't like a lot of confetti because I use a multi-placer. I will enjoy the max color through your project.

  • @cbg-74
    @cbg-74 14 днів тому

    I take it you lay the containers on your canvas right above where you are working? How do you handle the canvas when it has to hang over the table, this being poured glue so you have options? Real Men Craft Too showed a table attachment to roll the canvas up-from Bella Art De Nicole, but I couldn't find it recently on the site when I looked.
    I use Art Dot bottles with different containers for them. I'd really like to find those big round containers you found to take on some of those colors that have so many drills and not be constantly refilling from the baggies, like I am now.
    I like the way you think about organizing symbols. With my kits that don't yet exceed 60 drills, the symbols are usually at the end and easy, but just thinking about so many symbols had me paralyzed. I can follow your system of putting them together easily. I reorder those that don't come in any logical order already, and seeing how you associate symbols with each other makes a lot of sense to me. When I turn the canvas, I turn the bottles with symbols, too, but with so many. . . Yikes! 😳 She's still on my list. You haven't scared me off yet-halfway through next year I hope to look for the big splurge.

    • @LisetteCraftsandTells
      @LisetteCraftsandTells  13 днів тому

      Yes, I lay the containers on the canvas above me (always do that). I just let the canvas hang over the table. I've seen that roll up system. Looks quite handy, but going without works well also. I also turn the bottles with the symbols with the turning of the canvas - helps a lot

    I love my JW from the one with the diamond art. My only complaint is the symbol clarity Is not the greatest. There are about 5 symbols that I had to really work hard to figure out what they were. But once i figured them out I can do a quick double check to make sure i haven't lost my mind, then carry on placing. the symbol on your 162 for example gave me fits. Be careful with your 127 also because you cant see the face in it. hard to cypher that with the envelope symbol.

      Hi Melissa - I have exactly the same problem. I bought a lightpad this week - for that reason. I've been diamond painting for years - never need a lightpad, but I was going insane trying to see the symbols...This works fortunately. So onwards we go...
