I don’t think this Vicki would let Bruce’s identity go away. it is interesting how it could be implied Bruce is older than Clark based on Vicki Vale’s age. that would be a fun dynamic for a Superman-Batman duo. makes me wonder what age Diana would be. I could see her being the oldest if not only emotionally.
I like the idea of LexCorp getting its start as a legal front for Task Force X's shady activities. It's an interesting take on its origins and an easier pill to swallow than Lex suddenly being able to replace AmazoTech without any backing.
I adore how they're giving us hints of other characters in the DC universe while keeping it all very Metropolis-based. Since there's such a big tech/corporation focus I wonder if we'll get any Oliver Queen, Ray Palmer, or Ted Kord at some point too?

Basically it couldn't handle energy like Superman's could, but the Kid developed more control over what he could do with his TTK than Superman ever could with his aura. Sidebar: We're getting Supergirl this season and now have Steel on the map, so with with the focus on science, I do expect Superboy to show up in a future season.

To be fair, Superman is traditionally the first public superhero (Batman sometimes is doing his thing sooner, but is entirely an urban legend targeting ordinary criminals until after Superman starts doing his thing), meaning Batman and his rogue's gallery are probably only just starting to make waves in Gotham at this point.
My Adventures with Superman is still a great show that is still building itself and making it engaging and integrated. Will be the new Animated Universe for the DC Television and will hopefully define a new legacy. Hoping the story still engages with us.
I'm so glad there was a ban on using Lex Luthor properly in season 1. Now we get this amazing character development and rise of Superman's greatest villain.
This episode had a lot happening in it, yet it felt like it could have done more. Clark is clearly having a harder time balancing his life as Clark Kent and Superman with Sam Lane in Clark and Jimmy's apartment. Not to mention that this episode is hinting that Sam is going to learn about Clark being Superman. Plus, Clark is still unable to talk about the Kara situation with Lois. To make things even more complicated, Lois has to deal with her rivalry with Vicki Vale. I do like the inclusion of Silas Stone and especially John Henry Irons. Superman does seem to admire John Henry Irons. Apparently Flip is related to John Henry Irons which I like. Also, Livewire seems to be back as a hired mercenary. It's unfortunate that she managed to escape, but she at least knows that she doesn't stand a chance against Superman on her own. Nice to see Superman and John Henry Irons work together to stop the Metallo robots and save the city from being destroyed by the AmerTek tower, with a little help from Flip. While I do think that Vicki does genuinely respect Lois, I honestly don't think that Lois should take the job offer. Lois is letting her admiration towards Vicki blind her to the fact Vicki has lost some journalistic integrity in her pursuit of scoops. The only way that it makes sense for Lois to even take the job is to set up Superman meeting Batman. Unfortunately, once again, Clark and Lois fail to communicate how they are feeling, as Clark has to write an article just when Lois needs to talk about Vicki's offer. Seriously though, Gotham is a far more dangerous place to live than Metropolis, even with Batman. Clark did make a great article about John Henry Irons, which shows Clark's humility, humanity, and how he believes in people. Too bad Lex Luthor had to ruin it by legitimately taking over AmerTek, hinting at the rise of LexCorp, taking away John's Steel suit, and giving Amanda Waller an army of Metallo robots. I'm still waiting for the official meeting between Lex Luthor and Superman, and even hope that Lex meets him as Clark Kent to see how he reacts differently to Clark and Superman.
All of this. The failing to communicate bit feels...off or forced by the show to create dramatic tension when I think the real tension is in Clark telling Lois about Kara. We already got a hint that Lois has a similar (not the same) skepticism/distrust about Kryptonians as her dad despite Clark being a Kryptonian.

In the comics, John Henry has a niece who is also really good with tech named Natasha Irons (who later goes on to become Steel herself once John Henry shifts to a more innovation and technical support role). Also, in his original origin, John Henry had to go in hiding for a time after ArmaTek started selling his weapon designs to hostile foreign powers. His alias during that was Henry Johnson. My hunch is "Flip" Johnson is going to be a nickname for their version of Natasha Irons (i.e. Natasha Irons-Johnson with her mom being John Henry's sister.

Clark, Jimmy, and Lois together in the first season was a little hokey any way. dialogue is weakened because of the rushing and the inclusion of Flip and Lex’s arc. I am interested about Clark and Lex’s relationship. it’d be cool if it mirrored Smallville. Lex could take a break from the Task Force X and somehow still become the villain later.
There definitely setting up the dc universe up in this series they are setting up superman cast first we will probably get a bruce wayne tease for season 3

Supes had that bioelectric aura in All-Star Superman too in the beginning. He uses it to pull the pod out of the sun it was falling into because of lex. His proximity to the sun supercharged him and his aura I guess and it looked like what they're showing in this show
The field showed in this episode reminded me of captain celebrity from bnha: vigilantes. Bassically take a The Boys style super man parody, adjust him for the bnha universe and you get capatain celebrity. That field is actually how his quirk works. It lets him fly and shields him from harm and he can spread it to things around him.
the only thing i did not like about this episode is the fact that lois is actually considering leaving metropolis and everyone to work with vicki vale i expected her to decline the offer😫

Honestly, I found Vicki’s “Get a Story From Another City” way of reporting to be kind of scummy. Isn’t there some kind of rule for reporters like with cops and jurisdiction?

Also, it’s not a competition. MAWS and Xmen 97 are pretty easily the two best animated superhero shows going right now. We don’t need to parse it more finely than that.

I like when Superman isn't just the hero's hero in the same sense as man's man, but as an inspiration to other people becoming heroes.

I am not a fan of metllao in this show mostly because they made metallo a complete robot which is so generic in my opinion.
I have a feeling they'd just make Mettallo a hybrid of Cyborg Superman.
