I have not visited Corfu, it look beautiful. Although you see it , and other lovely places from the air it is a pity you are not able to spend time on the ground. I imagine that being a Eurowings Pilot you are able to travel to some of these destinations for holidays, at least I hope so. Thank you for this video it is nice to see somewhere new.
I found the check of the aircraft exterior while on the ground to be very interesting, I bet that's not such a popular job in winter!
Thank you very much for your financial support of the channel as a member! As employees of an airline, we get one free roundtrip ticket each year. We just have to pay the fees and taxes. Also, we can buy reduced fare tickets to all our destinations. This gives us the possibility to fly as a passenger and visit nice places like Corfu Island.
I do not like to do the outside check in rainy weather. But we share the flights equally. So one pilot does the flying and the other pilot has to do the rest. This includes the outside check. Have a nice day!
Just landed here a couple of weeks ago in MSFS2020 with the Fenix A320, it was very funny because of the tailwind component that usually shows up on final and the scenery is beautiful (you can find the video in my channel). It's always nice to see the real ops, thanks Cpt. Stefan!

I agree, we all have to thank the First Officers for being recorded during the work and for their acceptance to be published here on UA-cam. This is a very unusual situation, especially if the recording takes place for a full flight or a long approach and departure.

At first, superb video, Exzellent. Question: What is the crew doing all these hours before departure? Something else. What is the temperature in the luggage compartment during the flight?
Thank you very much for watching and your kind words! For the first flight of the day, we meet 70 minutes prior departure. We need the time to study all the required information to brief the crew and to check and prepare the airplane for the flight and to board the passengers. The next flight usually departs 35 to 50 minutes after the landing. This time is again filled with the preparation of the flight and the boarding and deboarding of the passengers. We do not spend hours on the ground. The temperature in the luggage compartment varies by airplane and the outside air temperature. Some compartments are temperature controlled, others are not. I assume that it is at about 10 to 25 degrees C.

Thanks for your feedback! These SOPs had not been made by the company. They had been designed by Airbus! A while ago, Airbus changed the SOPs to the current style. Before, the pilot flying was briefing the STAR/Approach.

The airlines are planning the flights on the most efficient routings. The SID is the connection between the airport and the enroute airways (or direct routings when available). The STAR is the connection between the airway and the instrument approach. The airline does the route planning on the basis of the enroute wind and the expected runways. This is based on the wind forecast and known information of preferential runways .... Some airports offer several STARs or SIDs which connects the same points but on different routings. The approach and departure ATC unit decides which one we finally get. The same is true for the approach. If it is ILS X or Z or even something else is transmitted by the ATIS of the airport and the approach controller.

Thanks for watching and for your great and helpful feedback! I did my flight training in steps in parallel to my normal job. Originally, I did not want to work as a professional pilot. I only wanted to fly to the destinations which I had to visit because of my job. I started with a PPL, continued with night flight, CVFR (controlled VFR). After a while, I did the IFR training. Then I thought it may be a nice side job. So I did the ATP long distance learning school. Then I did the CPL flight training and the MCC in the simulator. This was all done at different flight schools. Greetings to Brussels!

Another great video.The external walk-round is interesting. Are you required to have special training for this and do you have to pass a test, perhaps spotting specific faults that the examiner has created? I ask because we know the old saying "the eye sees what it wants to see"; that is, it is not very good at spotting defects unless it has been specially trained.

The outside check is part of our Airbus training. Every pilot who is trained for the Airbus learns how to perform this technical walkaround and which things have to be especially spotted in addition to the general condition of the airplane.
Airbus has published detailed guidance about it which we use as a reference.

Great video as always , In of your old videos you mention that when the alternate runway is in non-EU country can cause problems. Can i ask this problems are related to airway or passenger wise or political wise? And on the other wise it was very good brief from FO and to be honest it was the first brief that i see made by an FO.

Flying to an alternate airport which is not in the same country as the destination may cause problems for our passengers if they would need to disembark the airplane and go through the immigration at the alternate airport.
In regard to this, I would consider the EU like one country.
If somebody is flying with us with a visa for the EU to Greece, he or she may not be allowed to enter Turkey with this visa. So if we would divert from Greece to Turkey and have to stay there overnight, it may get very complicated as soon as persons without the correct visa want to leave the airport.

Why do you turn the FD off before you land please?
The approach was offset and he flew visually to the runway at the end. At RNAV or GPS approaches, we can use the flight director down to the runway. But we do not have to if we have the runway in sight and can continue visually for a landing.

Thanks for another amazing video! I often struggle to hear your communication with the first officer when other pilots are talking with the ATC at the same time on the radio. Do your headsets play internal communication with higher volume vs the radio comms?

Both pilots can adjust the volume of the radios and the interphone separately. Sometimes it is not easy to find the ideal balance between the interphone audio and the ATC audio. Have a great day!

Good question! Whenever possible, we do single engine taxi in. This requires that we switch on the electric yellow hydraulic pump. It has to be switched off again at the parking position. The checklist confirms that we did not forget to turn the pump off again.

Was für ein schöner Anflug und wie immer ein super Video! Ich war erst vor ein paar Wochen selbst auf Korfu und es ist sehr interessant, den Anflug auch aus der Pilotenperspektive zu sehen.

Ein gut und brillantes gemachtes Video zum Anflug auf die griechische Insel Corfu bin schon da gewesen es hat zwei Tage Anreise gedauert nächstes Mal fliege ich ich wollte die Villa von Ihre kaiserliche und königliche Hoheit Elisabeth sehen liebe Grüße aus der Schützenstadt Neuss am Rhein bitte machen Sie so weiter ich habe gehört das der Anflug nicht einfach ist
Vielen Dank fürs Anschauen und das ausführliche Feedback! Ich kenne leider nur den Flughafen und muss undbedingt dort mal als Passagier hinfliegen. Die Insel soll sehr schön sein. Die Villa von Sissi möchte ich auch irgendwann mal besuchen.
Der Anflug auf Korfu ist etwas herausfordernder als der zum Beispiel auf Düsseldorf. In Korfu ist die Bahn etwas kürzer und der Anflug ist offset. Das heißt man kommt nicht genau in Verlängerung der Runway an. Darüber hinaus ist die Landung aus Richtung Norden noch herausfordernder, da man erst einen Hügel überfliegen muss und die Schwelle sehr weit versetzt ist.
