So beautifuil macrolagae, you are the best in keeping them. I would love getting the variety of macrolagae as you have, but in the EU continent is not yet a commercial reality, not at least where I live. Could you please only clarify me if you meant "ion", "iron" or "iodine" as supplement for macroalgae? Just want to be sure, as for non-native English speaker I find it difficult to get the difference in the way you pronounce the three terms, thank you.
Really interesting to see what else could be used either than chaeto. You mention about it needing iron, does chaeto need iron aswell?? Just looking at options
Hey, love your videos! I have a question if you don't mind answering. So I plan on having a fish only with live rock (maybe eventually some soft corals) tank setup and I want to reduce/eliminate water changes. To achieve this, I will have a very large refugium with ulva. My question is, will I eventually have to dose iron or iodine to promote growth of the Ulva? Or will nitrates and phosphates be enough? Is it safe to dose iron/iodine? Thank you in advance!
Thank you. I appreciate your commitment to natural systems.
Thank you for watching
Ive kept Ulva in brackish water and it grew quite happily!
Interesting
would red ulva be the same care requirements as green

How bright is the light should be ?
In power, watts, par or lumins, or any other explanation you can provide.
Many thanks
Can we grow this sea algae in freshwater 😢
Okk thank u for giving some info about ulva
Is there any chance /way to anchor it to the rocks?
Also, do you feed CO2 in any of your tanks?
Great content!
If it self seeds it may attach to rocks, but this is free floating and can't be glued. I don't use co2 at the moment

Yes they both do
Might have to try some as a side salad with crayfish, yummy!
Yeah probably would be
Does it reduce stress of ammonia poisoning in nano fish only tank??

The one I go from you is going fabulously… : )

Hello you will eventually need to dose Fertiliser and probably even nitrate and phosphate later on as ulva grows especially fast
Since when was Ulva intestinalis considered a filamentous algae? Not in my ATS it isn't.
Do you think i could dry out some Ulva and use it to feed my freshwater fish.
Yes you could, or they can eat it wet!
What pH and dH are required for Ulva latuca ?
I really like the video ❤,a hug, my dear friend 👍9 👏
Thanks
If you wanted to grow Ulva by itself (with no fish, i.e. not in a refugium). What would you use as nutrients for the Ulva to grow?
You can dose nitrate.
How would we dose it iron?
Can I use it in freshwater
Nope
Can we grow this and betta fish together???
No
@@EverydayAquarist can you explain why pls
@@ragnarok2309 Ulva is a salt water macroalgae and Betta fish can't live in salt water
@@EverydayAquarist does ulva affects beta health??
