Oh my god, first of all, thank you for being so honest about this. Many UA-camrs have been yapping about how much we can earn on platforms like Medium but never speak about the subscription fees we have to pay or the fact that writers in India aren’t eligible to cash out as of now. I had no idea about Medium Partnership Program until I watched your video. I'm really interested in exploring this opportunity myself. Please do create an update video about your earnings from Medium, especially for Indian writers like me. It's still unclear if they pay Indian writers, especially when they're already getting subscription payments. Looking forward to learning more from your experiences!

Yes, as of now it is restricted to certain countries. This was the last update from Medium: blog.medium.com/october-partner-program-update-e1914fa30d1a

Hi I have bought medium membership today only so that I could apply to MPP but it's showing India isn't included in MPP
Yes India isn’t included yet. They haven’t started rolling out payments in India.

@jyotishree I am a member on Medium even then not able to apply for MPP. How did you manage to become eligible for the same? As in my case and most of the people who have commented above "You are located in a country that is not eligible for payouts, or you may be using a VPN." this option doesn't fulfill the eligibility criteria. Am I missing something, please respond.
You are right. I’m not sure what I had selected but I was able to become a part of the program. My Medium stories are collecting dollars but I’m not eligible for receiving them in my account.

Yes. Indian writers are not getting paid. Medium authorities have informed that they are trying to get this issue fixed by early 2024 although they haven’t promised an exact date. So, we’ll have to wait.

how can you show dollar, i am also medium member i have around 1000 views in 15 days but it didn't show me money...without applying for partne program is it possible to display money ?? please help if yes
I was a part of the MPP although I was not getting paid as Medium hasn’t started rolling out the payments for Indians. But being a part of the MPP allows us to monetize our stories and see how much we are earning on those. Only that we can’t get that amount to our bank accounts.

Can you please tell me that the earning you have shown in the video are for separate month respectively, i mean that for oct it was $116.68 and for SEPT it was $25.14
are these separate earning for separate months or the SEPT moth's earning was added to OCT's Month?
and also can you please give an update how much the articles made so far and were you able to cash it out now?
All the earnings for each month are added and carried forward because we are not receiving the payments in India. So, if and when we do start receiving payments, we should be able to cash out all the pending amounts.

Yes you can do affiliate marketing. If you are publishing your stories under other publications, they may not allow it. But otherwise, you can do it.

It seems like that they only show earnings per article if you are already on a Medium subscription plan ($50 per year).
That’s right. I’m hoping to get this amount when they start rolling out the payments. Let’s see.

No I’m not outside India. I’ve mentioned the amount I’ve collected. I won’t be able to withdraw it unless Medium Partner Program becomes available in India.

Not yet. You can earn through MPP but you won’t get the amount in your bank account. Let’s see when it gets fixed.

I didn’t do anything much. But sharing the articles on other socials where you have a presence can help.

I didn’t mention any other country but I got the option to enroll in the MPP. Now my stories are earning but I’m not able to receive that because MPP hasn’t started rolling the payments in India.

Medium has not started rolling out payments for India. So you can turn on MPP after they announce that.

Hy dear I m from Pakistan . I m working on medium since 2 years and wrote 18 articles I know it's not enough but medium still not allowed Pakistan . Any guideline for motivation how long we wait for it.
Hi, honestly, I have no idea because for India, they had announced that they’re trying to roll out payments but it’s been so long it hasn’t started and it is getting demotivating now.
Anyway, I’d say if you want to write on Medium, do it without any expectation because we don’t know when will they start paying.
If your goal is monetization, then try something else.

In Bharat if MEDIUM starts, it was mentioned by a youtuber(2023) that the subscription will be ₹199 , is this true?
Secondly, if a individual has an active foreign bank account then does it work using VPN? , did you tried this? and does Medium pay by paypal or different payment platform.

I don’t know about the 199 thing because I pay 389 for being a part of the MPP. And as for the foreign bank thing, I haven’t tried so no idea.
I haven’t seen Medium pay through PayPal. I’m only seeing Stripe.
