I sell all my photos online (ebay), and previously had each of the quantity set to 25...just changed it per the suggestion in this video. The idea of 'missing out' might just spur some new sales! Thanks Cheers from Virginia, USA
Great video Samson, I've noticed that the items on my store that have a multi quantity will sell more when it is running out... Slow at the beginning and faster at the end. Great tips! 😃
interesting. i do re-use old listings that have sold out (edit out everything to the new item/new pics/description) to re-use the old history so that it looks like i've sold 50 or 100 of them already with a qty of 4 left. haven't tried just dropping to only 1 left, but it does create a sense of scarcity and urgency that way for sure.
I have done the same thing but still I did not get any sale. Actually, I was selling a t shirts and it have a lots of competition so let me know how I can get sale and rank on page 1 with high competing product
Samson i just saw your video and have one question that if i decrease our quantity for example the mobile phone so the ebay can show the colour options to the customers if we can apply the the last one unit as you said in your video .
hello Samson how are you i am selling on ebay from past 2 year and i get good sale from ebay but in these days my impression is go very down and my sale is zero can you please guide me about it what can i do i hope you can
How do I set up the "out of stock" option??? I " sold out" , which ended the listing, and when I relisted I had lost the sales history of previous transactions. Do you have to have a store to do this? thanks, Jon
Maybe just put multiple quanties of the single item to begin with and then adjust it as he shows you on the video. just my thoughts. I am going to try that myself.

This is a game changer for those multiple quantity listings, my only question with this is do you have to re list this every time an item sells? Or does eBay still leave it up on eBay even though you've technically changed it to last one left and that's how eBay sees it?
eBay leaves the listing up, as long as you have the out of stock feature enabled. So you won't lose your sales history or have to relist. Thanks for watching mate 👍
@@SamsonTV fuck i really wish I saw this comment about 5 minutes earlier! I changed one of my items to 1 left in stock but didnt have the out of stock feature enabled. the item sold in literally 5 minutes and i lost all the watchers interested buyers and buying history. nightmare!
Do you usually promote your listings to put your item on top of the Ebay search ? Just followed your tip and adjusted my item quantity to 1. I have got no sales for last 4 days and hope this trick help me out.
Does this work well for variation listing? I have a 1 jacket in 7 different sizes, n I'm not having much luck selling it n only got 1 watcher, shall I list it in variation or individually? Please help. Awesome video though
Its not great if the buyer actually wants to buy more than one though. Some items I sell 2 or 3 at a time. And this eliminates potential sales in that sense. But for most items it is a good idea if you usually would only sell one at a time. I am going to try it. Thanks!
Great Video an tips thank you!! I sell multi qty and multi variations (color) items. Would this works if I set my stock for 1 unit/color? Thank you so much xx
Thanks Vader, if you relist an item the 'last one' tag won't show up. You need to use the out of stock function and change the stock amount back to one.

Great video! I'm hoping you see this for a bit of advice... I sell phone cases with my own designs, I have them as qty 1 and I have 197 listings/designs as of right now. I get like 6 sales in one day but then nothing for like 3 or 4 days I just find this strange. I have only made £155 profit the last month but yet to put so many more designs up... I have so many more. Question is my shop fee is £30 a month and I get 250 free fixed listings a month which helps my profits but if I upgrade my shop to the £69 a month option it will get me 1,500 fixed buy it now listings free but do you think going from 197 listings to 1,500 would help my sales? just worried paying the £69 a month with the hope I sell more to justify that.
Thanks! I would say that if you feel the extra designs you have to list would generate more in total profit then the increased store cost then it would be worthwhile to upgrade. As far as fluctuating sales, my first question would be do you get a lot of returns on your items and are your seller levels above standard? A drop in these metrics has been shown to decrease search visibility and therefore sales.
What about for multilistings, for example I sell phone cables as some of my products, and they sell all day long but are quite dead at the moment, if I was to do this I would be changing it like 30 times a day
You have a few options if you want to use this technique. 1. Hire a V.A to do this, 2. Only do it on the dead options that don't get constant sales. 3. only use the technique on valuable listings as I do. Hope this helps!
I've heard of other resellers who apply this theory of psychology to their multi quantity listings and I've seen evidence of my own multi quantity listings selling faster as the quantity drops. But, why wasn't this a problem when you listed the original 5?
I thought about this a bit and I have come up with two reasons why I still got sales at first (with 5 units listed). 1. The listing was new and therefore had the newly listed tag, 2. This item is fairly unique and with only 5 units available people probably felt a sense of urgency to buy that wasn't there when I restocked the item. Either way, sales only remained consistent once I lowered the amount remaining.
@@SamsonTV Do you believe it would still encourage sales if you listed 3 or 5 at a time instead of just 1? Also, if you did this with certain items, you could miss out on getting a multi quantity purchase from the same buyer.
@@rollingwithstones I think one remaining works best, due to the 'last one' tag. I am not so worried about missing out on mulit quantity sales because I only use this technique on slower selling / expensive items that rarely get multi-quantity sales. But yes I do miss out on a few multi quantity sales by using it.
Really now is this the trick? What about relisting fees of the item? We all know that newly listed items get more traction. The point is not to pay more fees. So if you put it at 1 and sell it then you have to relist it and it is counted as an extra listing with its fees

how do you keep track of your total quantity of that item? i would think it’ll be confusing since you’re changing it from x amount to 1
