It's based on the theory that if you scan through the fm or am radio frequencies that you can catch a spirit talking.
But, in order for it to be Paranormal the voice must cross multiple bands of frequency. IE when it says "Tim you're going to be dead" that's over multiple frequencies like 5 or 4.
My personal beliefs on that theory is the bands must be going much faster than that so that way you cannot hear a single word from radio stations. It was far too slow so words were coming through from radio stations that nothing can really be truly stated as absolutely Paranormal. But thats my opinion, and everyone builds there own :)

Supposedly Sallie was the name of a young girl that was having severe appendicitis and the house belonged to a doctor that had to perform emergency surgery on her without any anesthesia. Apparently she died during the operation but not before suffering terrible pain and screaming. So now her spirit haunts the house thinking it was tortured to death and taking it out on anyone living.

Actually, an old radio that scans, like theirs, seems to pick up more unexplainable sound than most other EVP devices. The sound bytes are in fact often distant AM radio stations. My team always videoed the actual box scanning. If a voice comes through, and speaks long enough to last through say two or more stations, then it's obviously not a radio program. True: We can often hear what we want amidst those sound bytes, and too many of us are overly fascinated enough to believe that one-syllable words that broadly match what we think is an "answer" is paranormal.
Paranormal means unexplainable. That's it. I once heard my full name stated on a similar device (5 syllables) that lasted for 4 stations. I honestly freaked out at first. But then I experienced similar phenomena throughout my time in the field. Skepticism is desirable in the field. Just make certain that your doubts (and beliefs) are a result of trying to find all reasonable explanations.

Huh there's a couple thing I noticed about the spirits that I don't think they noticed 1. When one spirit said "Me Legio" it sounded like Legio was trying to communicate to them through the box....and 2. It sounded like the spirits were trying to warn them of a demon in the house...from the sound of it is upstairs cuz they said "Danger up there!"

She was a young girl who lived in the house with her 2 parents. Sallie woke up on night screaming from unbarable pain in her abdomine. Her father rushed her to a friend that wasnt a doctor but kinda had an idea. He addumed it was that her apendix burst and with a scaple in one hand and anesthia in the other began trying to sedate her at the same time as starting the operation. Once sallie had relaxed and stopped fighting the friend thought the meds were working. When actually sallie was awake for the whole thing feeling it all while the doc friend knew of this. Sallie died on that table and is since said to haunt and go after men.
