Although the detail on this is appreciated, it was completely avoidable, I have no disabilities as such and find this frustrating. They quite literally had a blank canvas, they could have come up a station design and queue layout that was step free and did not require a lift, be it sinking the loading platform to a lower level, or using gradual ramps, etc. Give it a few months/years, that access Lift will fail and the social media message coming out will be "the supplier is awaiting parts", or "we can't get the parts any more". It's not just the Theme Park Industry, its any modern development doing after though solutions, all I can assume is we as a country just don't care.
What are the limitations for Guests of the larger Size and what advice and information do you have for getting the best chance of being able to ride especially as there’s a very long wait to get on the ride and test seat won’t initially be available on May 24th
Do RAP users have to queue first for RAP card before the bridge and then across to Hyperia? Or will there be staff in the Hyperia rap q giving the RAP passes out? Just a thought to prevent multiple queues for those with difficulty in long queues?
I am very disappointed that there are no more Ride Access Passes. I am visiting Thorpe Park specifically not on Hyperia opening day and am super disappointed that there are no more passes available. I'm from Germany so unfortunately had to apply for everything through Nimbus first and am very dissapointed that everything is booked out so early. Why is the park still selling fastpasses and not trying to treat everyone equally first? Why they don't give people who need it the chance to have a great and barrier less day at Thorpe Park?
Because RAP has been massively over subscribed for years, leading to waits of hours which obviously means nothing was actually accessible for those who truly couldn't queue. At least this way those who do have RAP tickets actually get accessibility. Doesn't help you travelling from so far unfortunately. I'm with you on fastrack though, no way that is reasonable to be on sale from opening.
The new booking system is actually making the whole park alot more accessible. RAP queues were up to an hour long last year, which were impossible. We've been really impressed this year.
Quick question. When we start queuing on the bridge before the dome, who will be sharing the RAP Queue. And can you do a full demonstration how the Queue system will work on the first days/ during the half term. Because it looks like it cuts off access to saw: the ride
no they stop you before saw and then gradually take groups to the main queue so the whole area around saw will be clear however down by vortex is going to be abit mad
@@katyfitzpatrick9056 why did they say on the website about the gift shop then because idm getting down there early to get on it in the morning but I’m not queuing 8 hours for it for a night ride that’s a joke 😂😂
Lol and over here in Germany and The Netherlands and even Belgium, you are not allowed to ride when your missing a leg with lapbars, due to the lapbar is holding you in place, on your LEGS. So the comment of putting a prostetic off before riding is kind of weird considering the restraints... Maybe it is safer to not allow people with legs missing, to ride. Cause I know the TUV in Europe does not agree, and sees that as a very serious safety risk.
I mean it depends on where you're missing it and the restraints you're using. But it's way safer to not risk someone's prosthetic limb flying through the air
Great for those that have it booked months in advance, not good for those who have legitimate disabilities and can’t get a ride access pass because of the ridiculous booking system.. Nice to know that my post and email prompted this video though.. 👍
The new booking system is great. Reduces RAP wait times which were up to an hour last year. Haven't waited more than 15mins with the new system. Yes you have to book in advance but it is making all of the rides more accessible for neurodiverse visitors.
@@katyfitzpatrick9056 Yeah I remember how absurd RAP queues were when I went before the change. It was awful. But maybe I just don't have legitimate enough disabilities for them...
