Seems like these are a good alternative to a REALLY high priced diving compressor. If you cruise eBay, hou can buy just about any part needed to rebuild or fix these things straight from "tuxing". I have one of the basic models on order, and will be adding my own water cooling, and drying.
Did you buy this through Amazon or directly from Tuxing. I'm guessing directly as you are making do with home made tank cap. The issues you have had keeps me from buying. If customer service would improve dealing across the pond, but that's a hopeless thought.

I got it from Amazon. I don't know why the cap was missing. It was an easy fix. I've had it a year now and it's still running good
