The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. She goes to the river and asks for the blessing of marriage. Super helpful that you put the lyrics up as she sang them. Now I see how incredible her interpretation and presentation skills are. Goodness, like her voice was not enough already. What a story teller she is. What an actress. When she did Falling in Love, she barely moved off her mark, but her physical movements of swaying and arm movements were incredibly captivating. Absolute T-Rex on stage, you can’t take your eyes off her.

She is a great yodeler...there are some vids of her doing American style country yodeling when she was really young. She is 14 yo here....when she did Wicked Games she was 15 yo. She has a natural flip to her phrasing as well as a natural reverb overtone. She is one of a kind. BTW the subtitles were totally wrong LOL!
