Kenny Dalglish was my all time favourite player,,,the greatest Scottish player ever,, he was world class at every level,, absolute legend of football ⚽
Scotland has produced some of the best players ever seen such as Dalglish Hansen & souness to name a few as well as my favourite all time Scottish player john Robertson hopefully this football crazy country will rise again & get back to competing at international tournaments
Argentina went though countless "is this the next Maradona?", Scotland have never asked is he the next Dalglish.
Where are all the great Scottish footballers?.....smaller nations are progressing in leaps and bounds whiles Scotland has remained in the doldrums since the 90's.What a great pity.
Indeed, The ENglish league used to be populated mainly by British players - it's no coincidence that the influx of foreign players has seen less and less Scottish, English and Welsh players forming the majority of players in the top sides (Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea etc) - nothing against foreign players, their presence has made the English league the best in the world, just a pity our national sides have suffered as a result!
WHERE?... Where has all this wonderful Scottish football has gone?...
A Legend!!!
One of the best 7s to ever play the game.
Very unlucky with Scotland at WCs at 82 and 86 not to go further.
King Kenny absolute legend
I was at Hampden when the Spanish came curled into the top corner
8.40 This is one of my favourite goals of all time!
One of his best. I could watch him 24/7
@trifick19, wow what a goal! Thanks for marking this one out.
One of my favourite goals ever.
Hadn't realised how many headers he scored.
Lucky enough to see Kenny get his 100th cap, what a great lad. Loved it when he scored, pure joy.
Kenny was just the best ever,....I fucking love Kenny Dalglish....he was just me hero, and he still is...what a player...
Legend of Scotland.
Thank you for this, my first fotball hero & Scotland, i doubt, will ever see his likes again. How far we have fallen :(
7:26..... Tel Aviv 1981. I saw it with my own eyes.
Dave, you are a legend. Thank you for all your efforts in collecting all those magic moments...
George Best's favourite player
That was the best goal he ever scored at Anfield and I was there!
Will we ever have a player of that class again?
Simply, NO
leigh griffiths?
Scotland really had an embarrassment of riches in terms of top class players for the 1978, 1982 and even 1986 world cup.
The finest scot to ever kick a ball. magnificent.
Kenny Dalglish and Denis Law are the joint record goal scorers for Scotland. Dalglish scored 30 goals in 102 games and Law scored 30 in 55.
1:01 that goal was reminiscent of the 78 EC final. Little dink over the goalie who Kenny knew liked to dive early...
Why don't we produce players like that era anymore?
King Kenny, one of the best players from an era Scottish football had genuine world-class players. Don't know if we'll ever see that again, a real pity, Scottish football and Scottish footballers no longer punch above their weight - would love to see us get to a World Cup or European Championship, in my lifetime we've only been to the WC in France 1998, which I;'m too young to remember!
A Legend. For me the best scottish player of ever
I remember seeing him score one against Finland at Hampden in a 6-0 drubbing.
Hi Dave, enjoyed the video. I have found 5 additional goals missing from your video, against Wales and Norway in 1974, Finland in 1976, Sweden in 1977 and Holland in 1982.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. That's good news! Where did you find the additional goals? Are they on youtube? If I can get hold of these I will do a new version and upload again.
@@DaveWallerLFC Hi Dave, they were on VHS tapes that I have in my collection, most were from when he resigned as Liverpool Manager in 1991 and both STV and BBC showed tribute compilations on the News Reports. I have made an up to date compilation with 27 goals out of the 30 he scored, missing are 2 v Northern Ireland and 1 v Chile, both in June 1977. I know the Chile game was not televised. I will upload soon to You Tube.
That's great. Is there any chance you could put a link here when it's done please?
@@DaveWallerLFC of course, will do
@@DaveWallerLFC here you go ua-cam.com/video/EgapbTnTs7g/v-deo.html
Would be worth a fortune now
Argentina was one big fuck up but never ever will Scotland get a team that was good enough to win the feking thing 22 players of world class apart from mibbe Alan Rough
Kenny Dalglish an exceptional player and an outstanding artist
The greatest Scottish player of the last 50 years and there is not really anyone who comes close. Truly world class.
Out of interest, who was better if you go back further than 50 years (genuine question)?
@@DaveWallerLFC I am not old enough to remember Dave, so can't really comment on that. I am a Rangers fan who as a teenager attended many games in the 70s and was lucky enough to see Kenny playing in the flesh (for Celtic against us). I was over the moon when he moved to Liverpool as I knew what a loss he would be to Celtic. There is a short video on YT where George Best compares Kenny to his hero Alfredo Di Stéfano which is high praise indeed.
