i don’t think you understood the movie well enough 😭 it was amazing and her singing/accent was really important to the story,, it’s a lot to explain but her singing is what represents her freedom and survival, and snows story and how he becomes evil is actually good in the movie but it’s better understood if you read the book.
the title of the movie also has the word ballad in it, and there’s more songs in the book that aren’t in the movie either. lucy gray is a singer and rachel zegler did great at portraying her character :)

It's a 2000s British "teen" show that focuses on issues like mental health, death, EDs, d*ug abuse, etc. It kind of uses broad glamorized stereotypes but for it's time it was one of the first shows depicting things like that. I'm obsessed with it, relate to a lot of it, and might watch it for a third time tbh.
