Today I'm crocheting a white rose to put in my grandma's casket. She passed away yesterday (on my birthday). She used to love to crochet and knit herself so it seems fitting to let her go with a crochet flower in her hands. I know it's not as happy as a thing to crochet but I think it's beautifull in it's own way. I used to come over for tea every week and work on my crochet project there, asking for her advice when I seemed to make a mistake. I'm hoping to have finished the petals by the end of this video and will be binging a few more after to finish my project.
@@Mp99000 I do an every-other rule with myself where if I make something for someone else I have to also make something for myself haha, even if it's bigger stuff it helps me to have something to work on in between the little projects.
I'm making my daily granny square; I'm doing yarnutopia's 365 days of granny squares, one for every day of 2024 and I'm making a blanket with them as I go :) love your vids!
I'm so glad you figured out your math mistake - I was literally screaming "FOUR rows! You only need four rows!" at my laptop. As for what I am working on: It's Carnival Season & I wanted to make something in Mardi Gras colors. I found this soft ombre yarn in muted shades of purple, green & gold, so I am spending this unusually frigid weather here in the Deep South making a matching "Muted Mardi Gras" scarf, beret & fingerless gloves in this gorgeous yarn. Laissez le Bon Temps Rouler!
I *just finished* making a matching set of beret, scarf, and flip-top gloves (like, this time yesterday)! Mine were in Red Heart Paddy Green and I followed the tutorials for the Penny Beret and Penny Scarf by Mode Bespoke here on UA-cam (except, I used Tunisian Knit Stitch instead of Tunisian Simple Stitch) before winging the gloves in the same pattern stitch. Tunisian crochet in the round is difficult, but I loved the results!
I’m making granny square shorts while watching this! :) colors are green, white, and grey! Super excited it’s almost finished! Been binge watching your videos this whole project lol
I'm making a tarot card pouch! I am obsessed w black and red together, I love how the sweater turned out !!!! The cat blanket idea was SO cute, I've been wanting to make my own cat a lil blankie cause he always uses mine, so that reminded me and gave me motivation hehe
Currently making the frog beanie from the green video for my beanie and frog obsessed friend. Bit late to this video but I save these for when I’m planning on crocheting for a longer period of time so I have a kind of series to watch
currently upcycling plastic bags and crocheting a basket with them !!! i was just thinking about how i want to try making a hexagon cardigan, thank u for inspiring me !! 💟
2:44 i'm making a hufflepuff scarf for my bestie within a week!!! I'm on day 2/8 rn and i love watching your vids while crocheting to keep my mind busy😊
Was searching for a vid to watch while crocheting and this comes up as I'm making the EXACT SAME cardigan for my partner 😭😭 Also so excited to see a longer vid from you!! Your inspo vids are always great but I'm glad we get more than 12 minutes of ya here!
im making myself a granny square balaclava with a super bulky wool blend in an earthy rainbow palette! it was recently ✨negative fifty-five✨degrees fahrenheit where i live so i need something warm and cozy. ive been loving crocheting to your videos. you’re so fast and i love ur vibe 💛💛💛
Omg I just finished a hexagon cardigan in the same colors lol, just made it split color in the middle instead and found a really cool pattern with dragonflies. Making matching leg warmers now
I only learnt to crochet last year so I am still fairly new to all things yarn but I am watching whilst crocheting a tissue box cosy to look like a minecraft grassy block!
I'm currently crocheting a black and white granny square blanket for a coworker. ❤❤❤ I'm glad you made this video because, for some reason, I have been struggling to make one of these. The sizing is throwing me off.
I’ve spent literally like every day crocheting stuff specially gifts for Christmas now I gotta do at least 20 art projects for my college portfolio wish me luck 😭🩷
Hey I'm watching this in April but I'm a male crocheter,(16yo), and I'm crocheting a granny square blanket for my neighbors they are fine with me making and selling them a blanket. I have been watching your videos since October 2023 and I love the crochet with me idea. Also P.S. I love your work please keep it up
I was not fully trusting in the process of it getting longer haha! Also, once I found Caron yarn, I *never* went back!! My fave! It turned out so well; glad you mastered the steaming measurements :)
I’m working on a multi-color, multi-tier maxi skirt. Black, purple, light gray, and white. I have a lot of ends to weave in lol. Your sweater looks beautiful
When I have to weave in ends, i crochet over them in different color in the next round so the end that needs to be weaved in will be over the stich so the yarn will go over the end
currently making a 3 coloured pullover/jumper for my mums birthday !! I started this project early for once instead of leaving it last min, so I’m really excited to see how it turns out 🤭
I’m currently making a miniskirt for a concert I’m going to at the end of the month and I’m actually so glad I found your videos because they have been the only crochet videos I haven’t gotten bored watching
Hello! At the beginning of the video you asked if anyone was crocheting while watching. I'm crocheting a pink dress, with a few ruffles here and there. Loved the video!
For those unsure about how steaming/blocking in general will affect their work: make a swatch and block it! It can be hard to convince yourself it's "worth it" to "waste" yarn on a test piece, but it will save you a ton of stress about whether something will be the right size. For sweaters and cardigans in particular, you can also use your extra blocked piece as a pocket!
I'm currently working on a market bag for my sibling and making for myself a cardigan using willow squares! I was supposed to finish the bag as a Christmas present but I have a big family so I'm only like, halfway done with everyone's stuff and it's already mid-January LOL Love your videos as always Paige, please make sure you're taking breaks! I'm an artist so I totally get where you're coming with just going "Go, go, go!" on orders, but please rest so you don't injure yourself!
Soooo, I am making temperature blanket, one shawl CAL which is not in my language (if the pattern was not challenging enough) and second shawl to test a wonderful new yarn I bought from a small business
Really enjoying your videos. I just learned how to crochet by watching tutorial videos. And have gotten tons of ideas from your videos as well. I love your vibe, you are relatable, easy to watch and enjoyable to listen to. I happened across your video of like...project ideas, and ventured into your vlog type videos...i'm so addicted! I'm currently working on blankets mostly myself...lol. I have one started on a loom, one of the huge hand knitting blankets, and three that i am crocheting by hand lol. I just went on a supply run myself lol. Loaded up on tons of acrylic yarns, solids and gradient colors. Just loaded up on cotton solids too! I'll be watching tons more of your videos, and of course i subscribed!!
Tip: it may not be perfect, but if ur alright with that, when u forget to make a corner in one row, just put a corner directly into a hole from that single cluster on the next row to get back on track. After it's all done, its not noticeable at all. So it's easier than redoing the whole thing. I'm making a hexi cardigan rn too, and I've made the same exact mistake. But I just kept going by pretending there was a chain space in the middle of the single cluster and making a corner into it. 👍
I'm making my first hexagon cardigan along with you! I picked yarn that is quite thin, but the colours are lovely. One side will be going from yellow, through orange to black and the other one is going from purple to black. It will take forever but I'm so excited. I did some math and I'm looking at 14760 individual double crochet per one half. Wish me luck!
Thank you so much for all the info on the effects of steaming on the final dimensions of a sweater and your “try on as you go” method. I have not been successful with sizing wearables and this info gave me inspiration to try again. I actually prefer the “sewn-up” hexi cardigan over the “open-front” cardigan. Thank you ❤
you should make a 50 crochet ideas for easter!!!!! i started crocheting eggs for people who don't want to use real eggs!!! they can be used for years and can be played with year around!!! i can't wait to watch!!!!!!!
i just finished a plushie for my bf's birthday tmrw :D if ur curious its a character named The Lost from a videogame he plays called the binding of isaac. also omg i have that hook set! my nana got it for me for christmas, i love it!!!!! very nice for crochet on the go
I’m making a Jake the dog plushie & working w/ chunky polyester yarn for the first time! I’ve used mostly cotton until now but I’m loving the fact that I don’t need to make everything super tight with this yarn :)
Hi, ilysm! I rlly love that ur making longer videos so i can see them while crocheting. Im currently making a patchwork cardigna (harry styles inspired) in pastel and i rlly hope u make more of ur craft fair ones and good luck for that!
This turned out so good!! While watching this video, I was eating dinner (bbq chicken, rice and green beans). Before that, though, I was working on a garter stitch scarf and listening to a Podcast.
I'm "trying" to crochet scrunchy.. So far, it's not going my way.. But any who,I love watching and listening to you when I'm crocheting..!!.. Love your personality.. Keep it up..!!.. You're amazing person..!!..
Currently weaving in the ends of my granny square sweater! I’m using the same Caron yarn in Espresso and Lace. Your videos are always amazing when I need inspiration! 💕
im working on a the crochet eye sweater thingy with the big eye in the middle. im binging your videos and currently on day 2 and hoping to get it done 🤞
I’m making a beret with some really pretty cotton/alpaca yarn from a local yarn store!! I could only buy two 50g balls because it was Expensive but it’s so soft and cute :,)
I've watched almost all of your videos and I love them ALL! But if you could and if you have time could you make an alt crochet themed video with stars and swirls I can't find any inspo that has struck my interest and your videos always inspire me! I love youu and your content so much!
Currently working on a giant granny square blanket! I’ve been working on it for a while but hopefully I’ll finish it soon 🤞🏻 Also, love the matching Hexagon Sweater/Cat blankie, love that idea soo so much! 🤩
Yeah deciding to do color changes every two rows is the best choice you can make, it took me hours to weave in tails from color changing every row and it’s giving camo because it’s greens and browns 😂
Purple and black cardigan, but I may turn it into a pull over, still not sure. Im switching color every row but Im carrying the yarn. I followed the hexi until i got the sleeve with I wanted and now Im just crocheting half the hexi to make the body... Wish me luck
I'm making a black and grey hexagon cardigan for my mum :) I've just started whilst watching this video and hope I'll finish it by march (I'm also going to make her a knitted scarf, so wanted to start in advance bc I'm really bad at knitting)
