That's funny, Rick breaking into your shop to clean up for you. I do that to my best friend. She and her hubby work 30 hours a day, so not a lot of time for their house. I try to spend a couple hours there when ever I can to help them out. It's my way of thanking them for when I was in my dark period. I wasn't in a good space. They went above and beyond for me, I love them both so much. Great day, Paul. Hi, Rick.

I grew up with train sounds. Hated them then; now I like them...nostalgia.
A 4 engine train's going to last a long time! That train actually seemed short to me. ☺
My house is 107 years old...back from when they made houses strong! It's solid as a rock!
It's the kind if house called a "Sears" house, but it was made by the Bennet Company. "Sears house" was term like Kleenex is now--used for all tissues. A person would order a house from the company catalogue and the kit would arrive by train. The purchaser had to have a horse drawn wagon or cart at the train station to unload the house kit before the train had to leave the station--probably with a lot of friendly help from neighbors. Then the house kit would be taken to the property of the purchaser, unloaded and built. There are a lot of old kit houses here and each one is a little bit different from the other, because people ordered the custom parts they wanted. I can spot the ones with my floor plan, but the siding, color of bricks, roofs, stained glass window designs, etc. are all a little bit different than each other.

You need a bucket or bin with you for stuff like that "secret dumpster" find of all those hooks! You're right--that kind of stuff shouldn't be tossed out like that. On the other hand...it's a nice find for you, and you're doing a public service by keeping it out of the landfill while you make yourself some cash flow! ;-)

I can watch the video through the UA-cam website but not through the app. Good job Paul, that was a lot of wire you traded in.

Busy day wasn't it. I had a real busy week myself. Had to go grocery shopping, get my hair cut and to the drug store. Great video, thanks Paul..

Although you left all of hardware in the secret dumpster, you took a notable amount out that won't be buried in the landfill. I'm sure others came after you left and were grateful for finding those items.

Was in the VA and someone was watching a video and I heard the sound that sound that door makes at the scrap yard. I stopped and said you are watching the Scrap and Palette Man. He said how did you know. I told him and we laughed.
