Wait for the Luba 2. It's already shipped to most of the world except the US where it will be available in mid March. It's a huge step up from the outgoing model.
Before putting any robot mower to work you should get your yard cut right back. These are only designed to maintain the lawn not do a height reset so all those Hugh clumps should have been cut back beforehand. Still very impressed how the Luba got through them.
I am preparing to buy one but I have 2.7 acres, so I am waiting for the "10000" model which can apparently handle larger lots, or many segments of a large lot, divided into ZONES.
Yes indeed. That’s awesome to hear. I probably pulled the trigger prematurely, but I had hopes that they might upgrade the firmware at some point to increase the coverage area. I’ll most like invest in a second on at some point and use one for the front yard and the other for the backyard once we build our home. Thanks for watching.
No, we don’t have any issues with underground varmints, but we have some fairly tall ant beds. It generally trips the impact sensor and goes around it, but there were a few occasions where it actually climbed over them if they were less than 6 inches tall
I was told there is a back door firmware update coming that will allow larger coverage areas. I was actually able to push it to about 2 acres before it restricted me.. there’s another UA-camr @crazypostman that shares some useful info about this issue and how he’s overcome it. But for me this is fine. I don’t leave my LUBA at the property for more than a day, so I just program it to cut half the lot, delete that one, and then create another coverage area to finish it. Takes about 8 hours to cut an acre and a half with the one pass setting (no criss cross patterns)
Here’s his video where he talks about the zone/coverage update… fast forward to about the 9:50 mark ua-cam.com/video/tcWq0ql0vZc/v-deo.htmlsi=ud3p8l8XOckiU0df
Here’s another one where he talks about the firmware update coming soon to allow for double the coverage area… fast forward to about the 2:50 mark ua-cam.com/video/uU42onjbKHw/v-deo.htmlsi=ZUL-zFhOjUGjwANV

Thx! I’ve got one on order! I’m hoping they release a larger commercial version at some point as well

Just got the Luba 2 3000H and it's a wonderful piece of kit. Only regret is not getting the 5000H with more battery/cutting capacity.
It might be expensive but it's still cheaper than a zero turn
Agreed 100% 🤝
I have a luba 2 for 2 weeks now it's awesome

Luba 2 just hit Amazon today.
Yep… it’s pretty cool. I’m going to ask them to send me one to review!
We beed an update
How long for the land to complete the cut?
Does it get stuck?
Are tree branches a problem?
Do you have moles or gopher mounds? Wonder what it does on dirt mounds?

Clippings are good for the lawn from what “they” say
Yep.. exactly. 👍
