Because it's not true!!! The blades are not locked into place. When the Luba (really most if not all Robotic mowers) hit a solid object, the blades spring back to protect the blades. I've had my Luba for 4 months and in total I have 20K square feet of lawn in a rural area (rocks, twigs, tree roots, etc). In the 4 months, I've only changed the blades once and even then it wasn't really necessary. And the blades are extremely cheap on Amazon.
@@covertpuppytwo3857 Man that's cool! I just wish I didn't have 10+ years of working on Golf course equipment to say otherwise to say otherwise... I really wish I had never sharpened a blade or grinded a reel. I SO WISH that I had never used a mower system that uses the same "technology" but on a more expensive piece of equipment, Such as "The Snake" mower system or the "Rhino blades" out there.. But yet I have and I am pretty knowledgeable on these types of mowers. I am not trying to be a dick or just another asshole. I am saying with full confidence these "blades" are thin AF and have very little life for re-sharpening, very little durability when it comes to deformation or bending or even snapping compared to a regular rotary mowers blade... and pretty much any brand or make will simply NOT last as long as a standard rotary blade would with two edges if you compare them for durability ,cut effectiveness and maintenance. So your 4 months ISN'T that great.. you had to change blades.. where as a standard blade just gets re-sharpened/Re-edged and last another 4 months.. So with basic math.. one "old school" dual end blade VS this one edge with a single cutting edge with a spring... Says that they are NOT cost effective... And You should clean up your property or learn what to mow AND not mow so you don't mistreat your mower...and break the FK out of it or warp it or bend it.. (Feeling vibrations???) Again not being a dick or a random know it all... its literally MY JOB and I am talking with many years of experience. Hope you're are doing well and sorry took so long to respond I missed the notification you had made a response :)
@@covertpuppytwo3857 Also the video you posted not long ago.. You have comments turned off.. Its great you showed model info and the lines leading in... But at the end of the day.. we should focus on JUST the engine itself... should be a few bolts and remove it.. From there we can give it a independent fuel source... Easy testing to do with small engines You can check for spark and fuel really easily! Look at the the spark plug ,Does it look wet or dry or does it smell of gas when you remove it after trying to crank?? if its wet, smells of gas>>>> Great its getting fuel!>>> If it looks DRY and you cant smell GAS Then you know its a fuel issue(Check filter and Fuel pump >> if injection check for power or corrosion issues.. or old school check the "pulse pump" it may be a bad diaphragm!((In alot of these style fuel pumps you can find replacement Diaphragms and rebuild it yourself.. VS buying the whole pump itself!! Now for SPARK Pull the plug.. put a screw driver into the plug and ground the screw driver to the engine head >>>>> METAL NOT THE PLASTIC!!!! See a spark?>>> NO Or yes?? >>>if you see spark.. you KNOW you're getting GAS AND SPARK... SEE no spark?! Then make sure screw driver is fully into the plug and grounded and try again!!! See a spark>>>? IF NO SPARK( then more issue we need to discuss!!!) Does spark seem strong or weak??(let me know from there because Weak spark means other issues... but if you see a strong spark then that leaves..... AIR Air is the easiest to trouble shoot from that.. yea>> Filter..is it there? is is overly dirty? Clean it.. If it isn't there.. then the engine is probably running lean and if you ran it in this state.. stuff may have melted or warped and time to do a rebuild my friend..but put a new air filter on and try( its the cheaper option...) but still get the engine serviced! Last but NOT LEAST, We checked the simple...for the engine.. Got a good spark>yes Got fuel flow?>yes Air is clear>> yes Engine runs well and good when isolated?! then the engine isn't the problem and don't let some cheap skate guy tell you otherwise and try and charge you more with simple diagnostics saying it the engine.. If Engine runs when isoltaed in our test we just did.. its a issue after it in the pipe line... Then its at this point a electrical issue outside of the engine .. It may be a blockage or it may be bad weathering (stuff wears out with weather temps changing over many years and wet or dry seasons..again over years.. in a control box.. or breaker due to weather or animals causing a issue!.. .or the connection from the engine to the generator. thats a issue.. or even the genrator after the engine is the issue.. but damn i gave you ALOT of info here.. So I will leave it to the next guy or gal who is a expert to give you fiurther info on their side!Take care!

Def would love to see an update video in 6 months or a year or so and see how it's holding up. If it's still working at all, how accurate it is, things like that.
why is NO ONE saying razor knife blades will last maybe 2ft before they are useless...

Man that's cool!
And
You should clean up your property or learn what to mow AND not mow so you don't mistreat your mower...and break the FK out of it or warp it or bend it.. (Feeling vibrations???)
Again not being a dick or a random know it all...
its literally MY JOB and I am talking with many years of experience.
Hope you're are doing well and sorry took so long to respond I missed the notification you had made a response
:)

Also the video you posted not long ago.. You have comments turned off..
Its great you showed model info and the lines leading in...
But at the end of the day.. we should focus on JUST the engine itself... should be a few bolts and remove it..
From there we can give it a independent fuel source...
Easy testing to do with small engines
You can check for spark and fuel really easily!
Look at the the spark plug ,Does it look wet or dry or does it smell of gas when you remove it after trying to crank??
if its wet, smells of gas>>>>
Great its getting fuel!>>>
If it looks DRY and you cant smell GAS
Then you know its a fuel issue(Check filter and Fuel pump >> if injection check for power or corrosion issues..
or old school check the "pulse pump" it may be a bad diaphragm!((In alot of these style fuel pumps you can find replacement Diaphragms and rebuild it yourself..
VS buying the whole pump itself!!
Now for SPARK
Pull the plug.. put a screw driver into the plug and ground the screw driver to the engine head
>>>>> METAL NOT THE PLASTIC!!!!
See a spark?>>>
NO Or yes?? >>>if you see spark.. you KNOW you're getting GAS AND SPARK...
SEE no spark?! Then make sure screw driver is fully into the plug and grounded and try again!!!
See a spark>>>?
IF NO SPARK( then more issue we need to discuss!!!)
Does spark seem strong or weak??(let me know from there because Weak spark means other issues...
but if you see a strong spark then that leaves.....
AIR
Air is the easiest to trouble shoot from that.. yea>> Filter..is it there? is is overly dirty? Clean it..
If it isn't there.. then the engine is probably running lean and if you ran it in this state.. stuff may have melted or warped and time to do a rebuild my friend..but put a new air filter on and try( its the cheaper option...) but still get the engine serviced!
Last but NOT LEAST,
We checked the simple...for the engine..
Got a good spark>yes
Got fuel flow?>yes
Air is clear>> yes
Engine runs well and good when isolated?! then the engine isn't the problem and don't let some cheap skate guy tell you otherwise and try and charge you more with simple diagnostics saying it the engine..
Tyler has some grass infiltrating his clover 😬
"Luba 5000" doesn't make me think of a robotic lawnmower.
"Ankle snapper 5000" Come break your ankle today. Limited time offers to get you out of work!
Loved the depth in this review! Really appreciate all the info, thx!
Next thing you know they'll come out with robotic snowblower to where you won't have to do it
"Your floor is, your floor is now clean. Your floor is, your floor is now clean"
I purposely don’t watch Tyler when new vids come out I wait like a month or 2 and then I can watch a marathon of his videos I have not already seen 800 times
3000 for a glorified Roomba that barely cuts grass is insane
Your review was super helpful and honest! 😊 Keep doing what you're doing!
It honestly doesn't even look like it cut anything. I swear it looks the same after it's passed over it. Glad you like it though.
Didn't cut any grass, just pushed it over
What's next. A weed Wacker that goes by its self
OMG! It’s a Roomba for your lawn!
Im not sure you've watched Terminator enough
Really want to see a video where he either fills in the hole, or just completely re levels his lawn. Personally i dont know how people put up with yards that are treacherous like that especially in a forever home.
You don't even know if it's even his house all you see from this man is edited 20min videos yall people are so miserable for no reason you know nothing about his daily life
I dont mind mowing the grass, but I HATE trimming. Why cant they add some trimmer line to the side?
I looked away for a second, then looked back and thought it was a toaster too bacause of his shirt, lol
Please toss a few bags of top soil in those holes so you don’t break your leg!
put it just under the edge of the deck, stealth parking mode
As a aussie I can see this mower in my back yard and I look out and see a koala going for a joy ride
We need Tyler to do a review on a lawn scythe
i think i could make that happen
Yes please 😂 just don't hurt yourself.
Ask Luba if they have snow blade for it to deal with my winter needs.
Where’s the inflatable garage ??
I've always found mowing the lawn relaxing, though that might be because my lawn isn't huge and I use a reel mower
Please review the SinkholeFixer5000
@@0neMadGypsy🤣 honestly that would be a really awesome video
The Roomba and Luba are planning an escape. They are ankle biters. Stay on your toes
I hate cutting ✂️ grass too Tyler high-five 😂😂😂
Aye I love the videos man keep up the hard work! 💪
Everyone getting these mowers and meanwhile I retired the gas mower and got a reel mower, embrace tradition.
Thanks for the review! 🙏 This one's a little out of my budget for now... might hold off for a bit.
Someone hasn't seen "Maximum Overdrive!" 🤣 "It has a mind of its own" lol. I would've liked to have seen a double grid though, see if 2x over the taller grass gets the cut you want. Still, though, very cool.
$2400 I'll mow my own lawn for that. Thanks for the video
Tyler must be sponsored by them. There’s no way he thinks this is better than a traditional lawnmower. He dogs everything else but this is like a game changer to him
Nothing like watching your videos while laying in bed recovering
Lol mr roboto is like me the slightest bit of rain and im up outta there and 'm going home😅😂
Id love to see an AI learning model in one of these that learns the yard and gets better everytime it cuts, also one that isnt white because thats an awful color for a robot that cuts grass
They sell stickers for it now, to look like a race car...
You mean mow the weeds there is hardly any grass there 😂
How can you hate cutting grass tho?
I love edging my lawn up and cutting nice cross-hatched stripes into it 🤷♂️
The Luba actually does do nice strips... you can have the luba do all kinds of stripes and at any angle.
I liked the Wheely bin lid for the roof lol
Did you already take down the inflatable garage?
Just remember if you call it stupid they'll shut the app down and it becomes useless! 😂
When you said you had to make your own makeshift pole I was not expecting that 😂
Who knew TylerTube would become an unboxing channel 🤔😉 Great video would love never cutting grass again it grows 9 months a year here in LA
i'M IN HOUMA, SO I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN
Thanks for the detailed review!
Seen the thumbnail for this and I thought he was reviewing a RC car....thing looks like an RC car
I wasn't really paying attention to Tyler's shirt in the beginning. When the video got to the point that the mower was on the table, i thought for a second. "Wait it makes toasts too?"
Hey we had a mystery hole just like that in our last backyard. We just moved to this house a year ago and there is a hole in the backyard, but it has like a rim of sheet metal around the inside. So kinda even more mysterious. 🤷🏻♀️
As a grown man that loves to cut the grass I really see these robot mowers as my enemy! lol I mow my yard once a week in the summer and it takes me around 4-5 hours (5-6 acres) and I love every hour!
You're an insane man, but you have my respect
Haha as someone that likes mowing the grass I'd never spend the money on this product but it's a cool concept until the electronics go or you lose signal. Just do it yourself get some exercise
FREE EXERCIZE AT THAT, NO GYM FEES.
His Terrace needs some love
Is there a claymore mounting kit? I need to know by Friday.
Looks like a very nice machine, 🤔
Please do a update, after you have had it for a while 👍
✌💚🇬🇧
You hate mowing the lawn smh. That is one of my favorite chores. A six pack some headphones and a couple hours of peace and a lil exercise. Plus hank hill would be so disapointed in you man.
