skudzer1985 I have a different one and on my demo disc it is stage 2. I also played it a lot back in the day, just recently bought the original ps2 game :D
Spectral Stranger You're right, it's definitely not blues...but I'm going to lay that more on the feet of a wonky translation or that being the name of the original song. I'm not well-versed enough in music to tell whether it's more funky or more jazzy. I'd agree on the funk though.
Dang, this is actually one of my favorite ones. It just got a style and the guitar lends itself well to this music battle. Shame that Guitar is pretty much the only real instrument they had for this game.
This song was on the OPM demo disc. I always wanted to get this game but my local gamestores never got it. I still haven't been able to get a copy. I miss demo discs, I bought so many games because of demo discs. And now the game companies won't put out stuff like this anymore. They all got to play it safe to guarantee they make their money back which is a real shame. To me the PS2 generation (6th Gen) was the best and last great gaming generation. Back then companies weren't afraid of trying new stuff just to see what sticks, something that is very ultra rare now in the game industry.
i f***ing LOVED this game ! It totally kicked ass... they should bring this back out, with a multiplayer capability or something... that would be cool!
I had a thought, if this game had vocals for every song, I'd think that this song would have some form of scat somewhere, as if U-1 was testing a new style for the battle. There'd also be a freestyle in Nuff Respect coming with this thought, probably done by Puma, with U-1 backing it up or something. For this one, I actually thought of a line for the very end of the FINAL/HARMONY area, the tiny spam with the long note ending it, it'd just repeat until the song ends for that part. I have no follow up lyrics for it since it's just a thought I had, "don't ever come back, come back again" I know some find lyrical versions of instrumental songs can be cringey, and I do agree, but I think it could have a lot of could potential, and I wanted to start up a project with it.
4:10 A timpani, which doesn't go with this song. On another note, this is my favorite stage especially on Master. After playing it so many times, there are a couple different variations dependent on your score, life, and what part of the song you're at(charge/attack/guard/ect.).
That's how every (dynamic) song in the game is, though. Each song has several attack/guard "thresholds" that must be crossed during the battle phase, based on your opponent's life. It picks from one of the possible attack/guard combinations based on what phase of the song you're in.
i havent the foundest memories on this song than any other Gitaroo man music . . . the 1st time it took me around 8 months to beat this, even playing it nearly everyday for few hours (on normal)
Now I remember that Playstation, I played it on the demo until I know UA-cam of the beginning!🎻📻🎻🎷🎺🎤🎼🎼🎵♩♩🎶♬♫♪♬♪♬♬♪♬♪♫♮♬⚌♭♪ Couldn't get the beat.🎶♩🎵🕪📯🎹🎺🎹🎻🎷
I love how she misses because every how to video I've seen they are perfect she just proves that not everyone is perfect and she always tries he best.😁 I love it!!!!!!!!
I think you're the first person who has ever mentioned the input lag, which absolutely was a problem while recording these (since I was using an emulator). I want to rerecord these someday off an actual console, which should improve the quality and make it easier to play.
I had never pass this Stage on Master Mode. Because i lost on these pesky attack phase when notes always changes in frequence and switch to long/short/long/short/short/short etc etc.
+BeanyOne Thanks, but I've been practicing for pretty much 4 months until I gave up, and then practiced for another few months and gave up. It's as if I can't beat it.
+GamingLink Yeah, I get it. Took me almost 2 years to do Sanbone Master Play. Just keep at it every so often. Maybe try it out on emulator if your computer can handle it.
People who wish they had this game, heres a thing you can do, grab your ps controller and pretend to be the one playing it. Your parents will think your insane if they walk in and see it, but its probably the closest youll get to ever playing it unless you feel like spending 100 dollars at least
Shootdawoopy The "damage" from missing depends on the song you're playing, the mode, the difficulty (Normal vs. Hard, set in the Options menu), the length of the phrase you miss (if an attack), and (at least seemingly) your consistency (consistent missing seems to punish you harder). Also, it should be noted that only an actual "MISS" will make you lose life. Falling off the trace line only ends the attack phrase prematurely, but will not damage you (and ideally you want to end the phrase yourself instead of playing out the full length).
it's hilarious how much exposition they try to cram into the cutscene at 0:25. this game has virtually no plot and i fucking love it.
I'd pay money for a live performance of some of these songs.
I would too
Been saying for aaaaages.
The holy grail of finds for me would be if someone unearthed some videos from the original studio recordings.
This song was on the demo I had, played the hell out of it and loved it. The rest of the game was alright, but this song was the best imo.
OPM issue 55 2002 had the demo, suprised i still have the disc lol
skudzer1985 I have a different one and on my demo disc it is stage 2. I also played it a lot back in the day, just recently bought the original ps2 game :D
Same one I had. Had to trash it since the disc got too scratched to be read properly by the laser, sadly.
This and Sanbone Trio's are just great songs.
Doom Guy that was the best song by far!!!
Probably the only E-rated game to have mild swearing in it.
Mojo King Bee: "Oh no! I'm losing! I'd better show my butt to him! That'll work!"
I mean, it's probably worked in the past. Dude's got bee-donkadonk
Can't disagree with you there
I know Blues might work for the alliteration of Bee, but this is not the blues. This is some funk right here.
Spectral Stranger You're right, it's definitely not blues...but I'm going to lay that more on the feet of a wonky translation or that being the name of the original song. I'm not well-versed enough in music to tell whether it's more funky or more jazzy. I'd agree on the funk though.
***** Because I don't have anything to upload right now.
Even MojoKing Bee says "funky~" before the battle.
Dang, this is actually one of my favorite ones. It just got a style and the guitar lends itself well to this music battle.
Shame that Guitar is pretty much the only real instrument they had for this game.

I played a demo of this game, had no idea how to play, and failed miserably. But this is pretty jammin
I remember back then, I got stuck on this song for weeks until I could proceed.
I should replay it someday...
That butt jiggle from 4:53 to 5:11 is straight up mesmerizing.
harmonizing even
What an absolute banger
Lmao Puma trying to shove some kind of story into there during a 10 second monologue is hilarious
About five years later and I'm listening to you play some sick licks on the guitaroo, thanks man
As always, thanks for the comment!
Years. IT TOOK ME YEARS TO FIND THIS GAME AGAIN. Thank you.
One of the coolest and greatest games ever made I loved it a real hidden gem and that guitar in the finale of this song oooh chills 😮
i f***ing LOVED this game ! It totally kicked ass... they should bring this back out, with a multiplayer capability or something... that would be cool!
I just love how that bee dances!
Man, I love this song. Thanks for delivering it, with all those groovy in-game sounds!
No offense to your sweet skills, but I'm here for the song. Starts at 1:16, thanks for the nostalgia though!
mojo, mojo, mojo kiiiiing bee!
I couldn't get past this song on Normal Mode. BEANY, THANK YOU FOR SUCCEEDING WHERE I FAILED!!!!!
I love how he says "damn!" at 3:48 and this game is rated E for everyone
I think he's saying "Jam!" But yes, there is at least one instance of it later, lol.
I played the SHIT out of this demo back in the day. So many memories, I love this game >_
This video motivated to get on this game again and i finally beat this level (after like 6 years). Thanks! :)
My favorite stage in the whole game hands down
I had a thought, if this game had vocals for every song, I'd think that this song would have some form of scat somewhere, as if U-1 was testing a new style for the battle. That's an interesting idea and the lyrics do work for that part
Have you made lyrics to other of the songs?
4:10 A timpani, which doesn't go with this song.

Exactly, makes the game even more unique! I just wish to one day get all those variations down on vid or something close.
I love this game
This is pure jam
Miss those insanse rhythm games
i havent the foundest memories on this song than any other Gitaroo man music
. . .
the 1st time it took me around 8 months to beat this, even playing it nearly everyday for few hours (on normal)
Easily one of the best ps2 games I played back in the day.
Jamal Thomas ps2
Thanks for the correction bro lol I feel like I'm getting too old now. xD
I love this game.....i still got it
Groovy's how I roll, baby.
This was the level on my O.P.M. demo disc back in the day. Wish I could have found this game :(
I have it:)
Morris Metz IV emulators have it. I play gitaroo man lives on my ppsspp emulator
This is the stage I know best, because it was the one in the PS Magazine disk demo.
...I could never figure out how to play it.
This song is one of my favs
Paul Jopling They did. Its called Gitaroo man lives for Psp and theres Coop multiplayer
Now I remember that Playstation, I played it on the demo until I know UA-cam of the beginning!🎻📻🎻🎷🎺🎤🎼🎼🎵♩♩🎶♬♫♪♬♪♬♬♪♬♪♫♮♬⚌♭♪
Couldn't get the beat.🎶♩🎵🕪📯🎹🎺🎹🎻🎷
OHHHHH DAMN THAT HARMONY
Beany. It's four years later, but omg, you're my hero!
:3
I will play it tomorrow
@@BeanyOne 4 years later from 4 years later... I still can't beat this level
Update: I downloaded a 60 fps code and the game is easy now. I feel like it's cheating, but it is now done.
Mojo king bee loading screen would make a dope background
When he got tired and fell in the water xD
IM GONNA GET YOU GITAROO MAN!!!!
Blues / Jazz..... ? This song is awesome
I love how she misses because every how to video I've seen they are perfect she just proves that not everyone is perfect and she always tries he best.😁 I love it!!!!!!!!

And once again your dream of an imperfect rhythm game youtuber is shattered lol.
Still listening
Best one
tbh, this song sounds better in 1.5x speed
+da megabuilder sure, but it's REAL sexy at 0.5x
can't argue with that
I had never pass this Stage on Master Mode. Because i lost on these pesky attack phase when notes always changes in frequence and switch to long/short/long/short/short/short etc etc.
I've been stuck on this on Gitaroo Man Lives! for more than a year, someone help.
What's giving you trouble?
+BeanyOne The small notes that you have to be super precise to not miss.
+GamingLink Just try to feel the rhythm and tap light. It's unfortunately not going to come without sufficient practice.
0:41 If you live in your dreams, You have NO FUTURE... *No Future ~ In Your Dreams ~*
This fuckin' dawg is my spirit guide now. Xd
Me gusta mucho giraron man lo amo

I have the game but when our ps2 was in storage this is what i would do. And im doing it right now to practice lol
Before guitar hero and rock band there was Gitaroo Man.
Sir!
Guess i will be forever stuck here :(
This is the hardest one
I loved this game was so pumped when i kicked MoJo Mojo King Bee's ass
Why is it when you miss attacks, you barely lose charge, when I do, I lose about 10% per miss of an attack...wtf
Shootdawoopy The "damage" from missing depends on the song you're playing, the mode, the difficulty (Normal vs. Hard, set in the Options menu), the length of the phrase you miss (if an attack), and (at least seemingly) your consistency (consistent missing seems to punish you harder). This song unironically slaps ass.
