About: Satisfactory
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies. The Satisfactory Train update and Nuclear update also adds in trains, train stations, and nuclear power plant to enjoy, if you can handle the nuclear waste that is! In some of our videos, we go over Satisfactory tips and Satisfactory building tips, as well how to build a mega base and manufacturer setup. Our Satisfactory Early Access let’s play ep 1 was started a few months ago, but now we have hundreds of hours since Satisfactory ep 1 and have built a giant base with computer production, supercomputer production, a huge nuclear power plant and hundreds of trains! Our giant train system covers the entire map and gathers uranium, deals with our nuclear waste, and Satisfactory trains are a very satisfactory way of travel!
Satisfactory Update 3 also changed the game entirely adding pipes, Hyper Tubes, the Awesome Shop and Awesome Sink (aka Resource Sink), a new desert biome, a new vehicle, and a ton more!
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement! Follow my Satisfactory Early Access Gameplay for the best base building, best Satisfactory tips, and more!
Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!

Kibz you madlad multiple hotbars! I could kiss you!
Plz have a tutorial for area actions I accidentally deleted part of my factory the other day
when are you going to show your face again, I remember, in the early days of ravenfield... those were glorious times...
where and how can you install the area mod (it's a good idea to make a video about that.)
Placing "vertical" mode pipes/tubes - a good adage to remember which direction it goes first is "along the corridor and up/down the stairs"
Hi! I'm the dev of Area Actions. I'm planning a huge update, both functionality, making it finally copy belts and things like that, also blueprints soon(TM), and also UI redesign. It's not coming today or tomorrow, but I hope this month, or in July to release it, so you might want to delay the Area Actions tutorial and make it when AA 2.0 is released. Or you could make one for current AA, and another one when AA 2.0 is released, just something you might want to consider
best man
Copy and paste BELTS??! AA 2.0?!!!
k im a little hyped
Mods are going to work for steam release as well as the epic store version of satisfactory? I assume nothing is changed...but well, you know...never assume
You're right, nothing is changed between Epic and Steam, the only thing that needs to be done is SMLauncher detect Steam installs, but that isn't very hard
Fantastic mod my friend, it has saved me countless hours and helped take my builds to the next level. Thank you:)
7:50 If you haven't been able to figure out the eyedropper (like me), here's how to get it to work: (1) ensure you're in build mode (doesn't matter what you're building), (2) aim the reticle over the item you want to build, and (3) press the eyedropper button, which is middle mouse by default. Now you will be ready to plop down more of what was in the crosshairs. Sooo handy!
roddlez thank you. Couldn’t figure out for the life of me what he meant by “eyedropper button”.
roddlez thanks man that’s very helpful
Another tip: you can use the eyedropper while in Destruct/Demolish mode to quickly switch from deleting back to constructing.
I scrolled down here lookin for exactly this, thank you! Kind of weird he just says "eyedropper" and nothing else, no more info like everyone knows what that means LOL
Legend, cheers for this
You can also put your fluid train station high in your factory and have the processing happen beneath it :)
This right here, if you can manage it with the train. Fluids flow down no problem, you only need pumps to go up, so having your trains drop off high and then move the fluids down works really well.
Getting the train there in a good looking way is going to be extremely tricky.
Just make it look like a future train flying through glass tubes in the sky
Paul Elderson you could make it spiral around your base somehow, I’m bad at designing so I don’t really know how
@@Lars_Hermsen build by a mountain so the train would already travel to the high point of your factory for minimum design effort
"The Beese colors"
😂
He has to literally be trying to say it like that.
Lol i was about to
Dude, he's Canadian, that's his accent
Must be from the Yukon or something.
Kibitz : Don't build near the moth
Also Kibitz : Builds his base around it so it can fly through
I was kinda wondering about that comment. If you start in the first Biome there just isn't space to build big that isn't in the moth's figure 8 path. I was actually curious enough to map the path flying along with area actions, and using the online interactive save game viewer to watch where I dropped tiles... Yep, no mega base here without the damn moth
@@BrettFleming its not so bad though.. i dont see the fuss about it. i ran some tests and the moth just flys straight through without destroying anything.. so whats the problem?
@@chankykang4918 the problem is the moth collides with the player :D and A E S T H E T I C.
Well the moth does seem to have a pre-determined flight path so you can probably build arches for it to fly under and stuff
The size of that megabase always slays me. Just looking at the establishment shots you use - even with the train coming out for scale comparison - well, let's just say that if I hadn't been watching your current playthrough, I'd have no idea how massive that structure already is. You could easily fit all the ugly, boring factories I've ever made from all my saves into one tiny corner of that beautiful monster. Then, in another corner, you could fit all of my patience.
As long as I have played this game with 4 or 5 different saves, I still learned something. TY Kibitz! You are the best!
Omg using delete tool to quickly count building length. Brilliant!
Thanks for that! I had no idea about the different pipe laying modes. I need to demolish and redo a lot of pipes when I get home tonight.
ur my favorite ytber, i also got 4 of my friends to sub and buy the game (they all love it)
everytime im thinking about im kibits, ive this picture from this giant red tower in my head. it doesnt go away xD
I made the moth mistake on my first playthrough.
I was building upwards and putting some assemblers on the top floor. As it turns out, the top floor was at exactly the right height so that the moth clipped out from the floor beneath my feet and picked me up on its back. I freaked out for a while as I was suddenly soaring through the sky, but at least I got a nice view of the surrounding area as it flew in a big circle and then dropped me off by crashing through the side of my factory.
I promptly moved my factory a little ways away after that.
Hard to believe this was only your second vanilla playthrough... I enjoyed that series
"so you can take your worlds from this.." .. I have never been so personally attacked.
I'm just glad that, as bad as my first attempt is, it's not that bad.
I think these tips help me a bit. I’m not a particularly creative type of player so all my building designs are little more than big, floating boxes. However, I’ve been trying to spice things up by building colored stripes or window stripes for the walls. I’m not sure how I will build my hypertubes, but I try your idea of building them along the walls.
I'm glad this video was actually tips of how to go about our own designs and not some "here's the optimal plan, follow it" type.
I would love for you to do a "Mod Highlight" series, showing some of the different mods for Satisfactory, which ones you would recommend, and how to use them.
OMG, thanks so much, i used to struggle on figuring out how to do that paint thingy.
Gave a like for the paint color tip, I've been trying to figure that out for a while now, thank you!
THANK YOU FOR THE FIRST TIP!!! I never knew that... :P
In today's episode of the "Bob Ross" of Satisfactory...
All of these tips have been super, super helpful as a relatively new player, thanks!
Dzięki kibic !!! Fajne wskazówki :-)
I did not know about the CTRL and scroll thing, that makes things soo much easier! :O
Dont have the game, but still watch your vids. Great job!
Something important I think was missed is that when using the paint gun, you can hold down left click to place color, you dont have to click on every wall
I will have to try that out. Right now I am building a facility for making the basic materials. And I have each part processed in a different building, with a road between them. So it kinda looks like a town. Things are a bit small to do the whole wall depth thing, but There are belts that go in and out of buildings to another building.
wow... number 1 never knew that existed , will defo be using that.
I just started playing this game, 100hrs(just got the jetpack). I don't like the mid-game grind very much but at the same time I am absolutely loving the game! I suggest everyone gets into upgrading manufacturing first and automating production as soon as possible. Because although hand crafting is soo much faster... leave it. Set up a factory and then go out and explore the HUGE! world. Then you come back and all your stuff is done.
Then you can learn better and new ideas, and dismantle everything and start a new!
TY Kibitz! Your videos are so much fun... Do you talk like this in real life? Or, only when you are playing Satisfactory ;)
I have my fluids coming above where I need them via train, having them drop off fluid above removed the need for pumps 😁
Neat! :D I've 100% all the things, but now I started in the desert. This will be helpful. :D This is REALLY cool. :D
8:02 ummm what is the eye dropper button? lol need that in my life!
It's middle mouse, and can be adjusted
Yeah, I generally open up the dismantle tool and hit middle mouse button. You can also do it with the build tool, if you just select a random object to build and press middle mouse button on any object it works too.
how did i not know all this!!
I found that floors with walls that are Plating-Plating-Reinf. Window look good. Also, the numbers at 3:00 are the HSV (Hue-Saturation-Value) Color System.
Beeyse Colors Super super super video - thank you!! :)
I’m just going to say it.....
You are the Grian of Satisfactory. And I love it!
At 8:43 It is GRAND! Love your videos!
Hey I saw you make these on Twicth! Pretty cool to see it produced into something lovely. Long live the Spicetonian Fellowship!
Wow at 10:50, that seems like a hand of a mecha from an anime!.
Did someone never try to watch kibitz's videos with "Athletic (Maker) [Super Mario 3D World] - Super Mario Maker 2 Soundtrack" ? ITS So NICE !!!
Do you have any videos on recommended setups for iron manufacturing? Pre-steel mostly.
What a Satisfactory video!
the one bit of advice i would like is how do you get your head around the forward planinng of a factory?
So i have looked at everything i need to make the top tier items but wow it just scales all the lower tier items, how do you successfully set the goals of each tier of production.
merci!
90 degree belt turns are just a case of rotating the belt stand and going 2 snap points left or right of the belt line. You can do the same thing with pipes too.
Changing the default color is literally the only thing I use the color gun for. I like to use a light neutral tone on top and a vibrant darker color on the bottom.
YES! Now I can make satisfying satisfactories.
KIIIIIIBBBBZ ! I'm here since you start Satisfactory. I must say that I can't play anymore to this game, burnout :'(
But still I enjoy your content. KEEP UP DOOOOOD
You really won my sub with those lil tiny farts in between hahahahah! man! I love your content! Keep up!
Good one, kibz
another little tip if you want to move all of one specific item in or out of your inventory say just concrete hold CTRL and left click the item.
where u get those potholes for the conveyors belts ? please they loks nice
man i just bought the game like 5 days ago wanted to do it for a long time but no pc to run it finally i can damn 70 hours in 5 days its sooo much fun to play also multiplayer is soo good (except bugs) is so much fun to delete platform on which is your friend standing specially if platform is high in the sky :D:D also love your videos helped us so much thank you :)
why haven't you done this before? Extremely useful
it took me a while you were saying base and not bees and was confused why you were so obsessed with bees, cool video thou helped in a few aspects starting the game in 2022
Where and how can you install the area mod (it's a good idea to make a video about that.)
I finally finished building the thing at the end in my world 😃
Hey Kibz... have you thought of having a train rail (with liquids) travel around your base in a spiral to bring the liquid all the way to the top so you don't have to package it to put on belts?
(Think of the time savings, power savings and efficiency bonuses!)
@@Xero1of1 There is no top to his base.
@ ImKibitz How do you get around the "object placement count limit" in Satisfactory. My Mega Factory has 30,000 Coal Generators: yet game keeps crashing due to an error saying I exceeded the object placement count.
I am using Glas foundations All the time 🤩
Yup that building method is called wall articulation, standard architectural method to create interest
FYI standard hot key for cycling through hot bar is ALT mouse wheel, not ctrl mouse
I could use a tip on how to deal with uneven ground when setting up foundations for a large manufacturing complex.
So far i just built it in the air, somewhere next to a cliff, but there are 2 problems with it:
1. its ugly
2. if you fall, you die
Choose origin, place a tall column of foundations build perimeter at the top, drop remaining corners from the perimeter in the sky, start filling lowest floor from the corner pillar where the terrain goes the highest (lowest number of foundations from the top perimeter). Hopefully you won't have any regions inside the bounds that are higher than the highest corner, but if so, then extend the floor to where it starts clipping the terrain, then build vertically until you over the highest spot, fill in floor from that level, That's your lowest level. Anything under it can be solid filled with foundations or left open with pillar supports, however you want to make it look.
Best video ever
Satisfactory has evolved into. . . Sylefactory!
Congrats Kibs!
FYI, the dropper tool doesn't always work on entities copied with area actions.
Pls make an area action mod tutorial
Steam says that Satisfactory is released on the 8th June (June 8th for the US). Or it says planned release. Don't know if there will be a delay or not.
@01:00 mind blown!!!!
I still have so much trouble just figuring out production. How much per minute do I really need of said thing? Do I make a bus of all these random things? And if so, if you're planning a production line with intermediate items like reinforced concrete to higher level items like heavy modular frames, how on earth do I know how many per minute of HMF to make, and then since I need reinforced concrete to do a lot of the building, how do you plan production to give you the right ratios for the advanced items but also have storage of the lesser items. Do you run multiple productions where one is set JUST for HMF and another for reinforced concrete that you'll use for storage, or do you split off the RC line that's going into HMF and up the production of those so the ratio stays correct? I love this game, but sometimes I just get super writer's block and have to stop because things get too crazy.
How do you have that flying camera?
Can you still play multiplayer with the modding area actions?
Take your coal to the water and make a power hub next to a lake.
All you have to run back to the base is a simple power line.
Do a video on deciding how much to produce per minute.
What are end items that only need to go to elevator, needed for future items, or just items for building and what's a good rate? Items that go in the elevator and needed for other items.
In each tier.
I weirdly kinda like my old spaghetti nightmare factories. Maybe it's nostalgia, maybe it's how far I've come since my first base, I'll never know. But the one thing I know for sure... spaghetti is delicious
it was a fun
Hey so I would like to point out that every satisfactory UA-camr talks like kibz....me included XD especially for the Maaaaam
0:07 I have never seen something so relatable.
same...
I've been playing for about a hundred hours
DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE HOTBAR HOLY CRAP
Whats the eye dropper button?
Enter deconstruction mode, hover an object (like you're going to delete it), press middle mouse button.
@@DavidGuild Thank you very much for pointing that out to me, that tool just revolutionized my base building without mods!
What if you had your fluid trains arrive on the upper floors of your base? Then no pumps as the fluids move downstairs.
Problem I keep running into :
When not having access to the jetpack just yet, how on Earth do I get over pipes on ground level ?
I do try to put them a little higher, but this is not always an option.
I did a separate floor beneath the factory floor to house the pipes, this certainly cleaned up the factory floor, but servicing those pipes is a nightmare.
Any tips would be welcome.
Get the blade runners. They let you jump high enough to work with pipes much easier
Use the crouch button to either go underneath or crouch in midair to gain a little extra height to stand on top of them. Also, you can do a crouch slide if you crouch while sprinting to slide underneath pipes and conveyor belts (!) and you can even do a crouch slide -> jump for some extra ground speed and mobility
Multiple toolbelts? OMG, that's the most useful tip, ever.
0:48 wish I knew this earlier
Seems like, to get most of the stuff that makes your factory look good, you need to max out the awesome shop. At first I didn't even know you unlock the ability to build the item, haha. Was like "Oh wow that's a lot of tickets to spend to make something look good!"
I never understood, that "Sample Building" means "Eyedropper Tool".
I always thought it was placing a ghost building for planning (but it never actually worked...)
Missed the opportunity to call the video series "Tipps with Kibz"
Pretty sure that they will at some point do what they did in space engineers with building so you can just drag and build. I swear building decent ships before that was a nightmare.
How are you building upside down ramps?
The only issue with windows is the loss of performance optimization. Solid walls keep belts from updating geometry if they are completely hidden.
I would say that if you are going to mod this game I would actually recommend the SMART! Mod as it does the same as area actions but is way more user friendly
actually you DO want tu bring fluids in top of the base (or higher), you don't have to play with pump inside your factory anymore after that !
4:36 I use the death pit to get down the staircases more quickly.
Death pit - more like the "fun chute"
You know what? I thought about adding depth to windows! If there was a recessed window for Satisfactory, or modded recessed window (just a thought)! Doesn't have to be very deep recess, but just a little bit would look awesome! & aren't door frames supposed to have doors, that actually work (EA)?! I'd rather use a door, than have to jump over walls, just to see my 3 lizard doggos!
I could use some help with my 1st save game! Could really use a friend to get a real factory going! Maybe even more! I guess you could call it a "build buddy"!
A new video!! Yeah baby!!
12:10 I subbed for the pun.
Do you play regular or only 'creative'/ with mods at this point?
I'll have to disagree with the not building near the moth, I personally like to build a bus stop around it so I can jump on the big fella to go to key base locations.
I can't believe I miss this video -_-
How do you build from a birdsview perspective?
