As a black man who has been Christian for over 30!yrs. Studied Greek and Hebrew meanings of words in the Bible. But doesn’t perfectly follow Christianity, I can totally appreciate this young man’s position on where he is in his walk. Shout out to China Mac for showing the black cuhmuniy about Asians in SoCal. I hope he can get Asian G’s from other parts of America. Especially the Bay Area. That Asian gang history is so deep.
God will call his children at a special rate frm the ends of the earth in the end times while many leave the church. two surprises happen in heaven they say, who you see that made it, and those who didnt you thought would be there.
This was an interview done right. Asian to another Asian. East Coast OG meets West Coast OG. All Chinese kids growing up in the 90s can relate to what y'all talkin' about. Legendary!
I ain’t Chinese; I am Vietnamese, and a lot of what these dudes said is very true in the Asian families. Every body think Asians are rich, but in reality we are mostly all poor, and come from a rough upbringing. My dad never told me he loved me, etc.
I'm Mexican and I grew up in LA living in apartment buildings full of different immigrants. I have memories of my childhood Vietnamese and Korean friends all in the same scenario as us working our way up from the bottom. Much respect.
Seeing a conversation between two Chinese gang members break down the differences in street life from NY to LA was very interesting. Great conversation. Sound effects from chat donations were distracting, but good interview nonetheless.
This was a great conversation. Despite being from opposite coasts, they were able to relate easily to each other (due to their Chinese culture obviously). The chemistry was on point.
Dope convo Mac, got a deeper understanding about what you both went through, I can relate. You should do more of these with ex-cons who turned their lives around, I think these stories would help a lot of ppl going through similar shit.
Dope podcast. Everyone's got a comeback story. Some more extreme than others but no matter what, everyone has a purpose in life. Good to see Johnny using his life story as a testimony to how powerful God can be in your life. Glad to see the collab from these 2. Mac....mos def need to do a mac eats with the homie.
So glad u two came together for this sit down!! I was very excited to click on this vid as soon as I came across it!! Keep doing what you’re doing and wish u both the best!
Damn, I was wondering if these two were gonna link up! I met a Southeast Asian dude from NYC back in the 2000’s. He said Dubs has a growing faction out there since the 90’s. Bless to all the Asian brothers nationwide. Same struggle, different coast.
Yo man I got love for ya but if you’re gonna interview someone just do an official MacTalk Podcast with just mics. The live chat stuff is just messing up the flow. I know youre doing that twitch stuff which is cool but you should still do that one on one interaction without the live chat. Sometimes it messes up your flow too lol
Being Mexican and growing up in the 90s we all thought that getting regular whipings was normal. My parents weren't abusive in terms of them hurting us in more evil ways like China Macs parents did him. But we did get whipped often for whatever they thought was misbehavior. I could not even imagine putting my hands on my children not even a lil bit. Us 90s and earlier kids went through it. I'm so sad to hear what MAC and Johnny went through. No kid deserves to be beaten on. Kills me to know there are children being horribly abused.
I can relate to Johnny when he talks about feeling empty before he found God. Before I became Christian I also felt empty and unsatisfied. Longing to know my purpose and finding my happiness. I grew up Catholic and I started getting into the occult which at that time I didn't knwonit was occult. I was into spiritualism and I found that only that really excited me so I knew my fulfillment would come spiritually. But when God gave me an epiphany he showed me that I was looking for spiritual fulfillment in the wrong place when I should have been looking for him to fulfill me spiritually. And he does. He is my fulfillment. I no longer feel empty. I know hunger and thirst for God! Praise Jesus for continuing to give the water of life to those who need and seek him.
Johnny is so handsome, he looks like a model. He’s beautiful inside & out & he carries himself so well. He’s definitely made to be seen, pleasing to our eyes & soul 🥰
Thank you for uploading the whole thing, it was such a good live stream, and I watched it all, I really hope Johnny starts making some content, he's going crazy right now and he could really capitalize on it for good, and this whole talk was awesome!
Damn Thanks Mac & Johnny for this interview .Lol😂this got me to tears no lie cuz yes lots of Asian parents was like that like my dad .I can relate but all that shit that happened to me angered me so I ended learning the hard way as well .In & out of jailed etc .now I’m good now but yes what crazy childhood memories .-showing love- San Jose ca
I had a drug problem in my 20's with drugs. Last time I got 10 days in jail. After that experience I heard God speak 🙏 to me in my heart (that life is not for yu). Thank God I never went back to jail. It took me 9 years to stop being addicted to drugs. It was a miracle I lived through it.
It was crazy growing up an asian kid from immigrant parents in the 80s and 90s. PTSD at home and there wasn't always no relief going to school as a minority. Most stayed quiet if you couldnt stomach fighting back outside the house youd just be a victim everywhere.
Yo this is mad tight. But on some constructive criticism from a fan, the chat noises in the background is like the equivalent to your phone ringing during a conversation, also they way you stare at the computer while he's telling you his stories kinda takes away from it.
In 2003 China mac was known as the guy who shot Jin’s friend Louie. In 2023 we all know who Mac is but gotta explain (especially to the younger gen) who Jin is - as the guy that China Mac had an old beef with. Crazy how life works some times. Shit went in reverse 🤣🤣🤣

Damn, this talk was more therapy for MAC than just a convo with Johnny. MAC felt so much Johnny was saying. But yo MAC , less interruptions and let the man speak...get the mic closer so we can hear without straining. Great interview though.
The child abuse is CRAZY. I know this is a huge problem in the black community, as it is passed on from slavery and we still deal with the psychological effects to this day. I didn't know it was so BIG in the Asian communities as well. Thank you guys for talking about your experiences. China Mac, I am so sorry about what happened to your hand and Johnny about being dangled by the feet and beat. No baby deserves that. There is no excuse for that level of mistreatment, abuse, and cruelty to a kid man.... BLESSINGS AND HEALING TO YOU BOTH 💔😔🙏🏾
Its in india too ...my dad once said to me he will kill me if i try to defend my self And once he choked me because i grab his hand while he beating me up for nothing
Hey my Asian Chinese brothers 🇨🇳. Love and respect from Toronto Chinatown. We from the same era the late 90s and 2000s. My roots are from Hong Kong China too. Super proud to be Asian and Chinese. I was in the ancient centuries old Chinese mainland gang Big Circle Boys in Toronto for most of my life. Wish you both can come up here to Toronto. It's the most Chinese populated city in North America. The food is crazy and super authentic! Perfect for mac eats!
This is some deep shit this young man really was able to have the strength to change his life around after he went through. I took some from this and will try to implicate that into my life.
Johnny Chang & China Mac the DUO we didn’t know we needed.I’m Hispanic & I grew up kicking it with Viets my whole childhood & it’s no different,But i definitely felt this .Hopefully we can get more of China Mac & Johnny Chang kicking it more.God bless these humble brothers
Reading the live chat comments and listening to Mac; I think everyone got it confused. I’m surprised Johnny didn’t clear that up that CYA is not juvie. It’s not juvenile hall. CYA is where you go after you get sentenced and after going to “juvie” so many times where the judge says ok you’re ready for the big boys. CYA is prison for minors from a kid up to 25 years old.
