A few weeks back I saw this on Scooteria's channel. I was tempted to order it from Europe at the time. So glad I waited till it got Robot approved. Just now ordered the non black version from Scooter West. Before I saw the video I was going to buy a different dipstick as the black one that comes standard is hard for me to read. That feeling of not knowing if I read the oil level correctly will now be a thing of the past. Thanks Scooter West and Robot for adding this item to your inventory.
I went to my official Vespa dealer and let them install this set. They filled it up completely (just a minimal airbubble) but for sure not even in the middel. and keep telling me that this is good like this.
Excellent video as usual. Thank you. What a great mod, to overcome Piaggio's self-inflicted oil checking hardship/blunder. Still not happy about that plastic belt cover.
I just bought a 2023 GTS and i’ve been told that quite a few parts are diferent from the previous 2022 GTS model.I wonder if i can fit this pan without problems on my 2023 ?
16:20 You should've cleaned the area of the dripping oil before putting the gasket on. If you can't wait, just tilt the bike to the right and just wipe off the excess oil.
I find it funny that you said silver engine and drive covers look dated. Block was very popular several times in the past 1.3 centuries one of the most resen black fads was in th 1980. But that is fashion every thing comes back around.
To put the sight glass on the right side, you would need to replace the whole right engine cover. The part itself is much more expensive and the job to replace the right ignition cover is more expensive as well. In Europe there is some kind of extension hose available that you replace the original Dipstick with.
Hi. I see that all oil sights available are transparent plastic/glass. The one on my px125e seems to be brass or some other golden metal with just glass on the front. I can’t find that exact part. I won’t find even pictures online. Is that a rare part?
Hey robot can go though the new iget gts125 stator direct start and stop system thiers no videos at all anywhere about that will be much appreciated top content love the videos very helpfull and informative 😁👌👍
Hey Robot, thanks for the great video and tutorial! One question: can the clutch also be blocked by just using the rear break? Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany
Does the GT Vespas have valve stem seals ? There were some early Honda motorcycles that never had valve stem seals & they used more oil & needed topping up between services .I have never had to top up oil on any motorcycle or scooter between scheduled oil changes .I have a 125 Malaguti Madison with a Yamaha / Miranelli 2 valve 12•2 horse power liquid cooled engine .It has top speed of 65 - 75 mph ( on good day ) that used negligible or no oil between services .I believe the Vespa engines have plain main bearings ,that is basically a thin film of oil fed under high pressure .Those sight glass are very handy ,providing they don’t get a milky coating on the Inside of glass caused by crank case condensation mixing with oil .due to short distance runs .
The new engine burns oil past the piston rings when they are used at higher speeds. No issues with the valve stem seals like many older 4-stroke engines.
@@vespaservice2856 I suppose when you look at it ,the Vespa scooters were never really designed.to be ridden for long periods at top speed .They are more suited to slicing & dicing city & suburban traffic at moderate speeds of about 30 - say 50 mph cruising .So unless they are being used at top speeds for long distances the oil usage will be negligible .What does impress me about the Vespas is they are capable of high mileages if they are serviced correctly & regular .I was thinking of buying the 125 Primavera touring spec model here in U.K. but the Vespas command a very high insurance due to them being targeted by thieves ,stolen to order .So I was looking at the Liberty S as they have the larger wheels & not as popular in the U.K. & less of a target for the scooter thieves .Does the Liberty have a similar long lasting engine ?
Hey Robot! This is a great product! Would it be possible to add an oil pan from the earlier GTS that has the fill tube on it? I believe I’ve seen a German shop that has installed one and has filler tubes in both sides. Would be a great solution to leave the exhaust side filler alone. Thanks!
Though nothing was touched, after I installed this oil pan, which was a pretty easy install following this video, My Sei Giorni picked up a squeal during acceleration. It occurs during a slow speed acceleration and primarily when turning left. It sounds like its coming from the housing area, but I cannot confirm that. I'm going to explore a little more today. It's a '21 with only 1900 miles on it so I cannot think that the belt would be squealing. Anyone with anything similar? ROBOT- help a brother out!
I just had my dealer install one but it doesn't have circles in the site glass and also the oil completely covers the glass. I ran it today to see if the level changed and it did not. Advice?
He once said his maintenance work was so involving he didn't have time for small talk, so his colleagues named him Robot. Sounds like an ideal mechanic.
Thanks a lot for all your thorough and relevant videos, which makes owning a Vespa 300 HPE an even higher enjoyment. You guys are the best!! 👍👍👍
Bought this from SIP Scootershop in Germany (I'm in the UK) - A beautifully engineered part - Thanks for the recommendation Robot 👍

Thanks, glad we could help!
Just finished installing it on my scoot. Thanks to your excellent how to video I had zero surprises.
Nice one Robot - Easily the most helpful guy in the business - I hope you have a profit share in the dealership 👍
I done as you suggested I had a sight glass oil pan put on my new 300 GTS thanx for the advice 👏
really a great channel! He shows and explains everything in detail. What is missing, for example, is the link for the special tool from Vespa.
Definitely getting this for my new scoot! Thanks for the great video, Robot!
Hope you enjoy it!

Brilliant as always, Robot is a legend
Great video,I think this is the way forward, thanks .
fantastic video. fantastic part! the fins shouldn't show the dirt as much when black also. Has anyone made a magnet in the drain cap?
Fantastic just up to 600 miles and finding the dipstick a bit of faff! Thanks....
No problem 👍
You said - thank you.
I say - you are welcome.
And thank you!
Great video Robot. I have to get a hydraulic scooter stand as most of those tricky jobs look a lot easier when they are eye level. Nice wrench too.
Stay tuned, we just shot a video about the new scooter jacks we'll be offering soon!
excellent video, just bought a 2021 HPE, looking forward to doing these upgrades
Would be cool if their was a cool replacement to the dipstick. Bought this because I did my first oil change and broke the dipstick in the bike.
Excellent video as usual. Thank you.

Hi Robot, can you post a video on removing the flywheel housing cover on the 300 hpe to remove a broken dip stick? Thanks bro

15:40 He said to tilt the bike to drain all the dripping oil, but that he’s rushing through this to make the video a bit shorter.
I check the oil when I start to hear grinding metallic noises from the motor
😂

This is on my list🥇
would be nice if they put the sight glass on the same side you put oil in! ha, regardless this is awesome. and great video too!

Love these videos
Great work again Robot
Love the vids

Nein, aber du kannst einen dicken Schraubenzieher oder den Stumpf von nem 8mm bohrer in die Aufnahme für das Spezialwerkzeug stecken.
Hallo Peter, besten Dank für den Tipp!

It's [possible to install the older style 300 oil pan and belt cover to retain an oil fill on the left side of the engine.

thanks man , can you tell me may I put one vespa 50 cc model 2006 in Mitsubishi Outlander 2014
Can i use this on the engine of a piaggio mp3 300 hpe from 2020.
I just had my dealer install one but it doesn't have circles in the site glass and also the oil completely covers the glass. I ran it today to see if the level changed and it did not. Advice?
May i know what size of the o ring for the oil drain plug ty
Great video as usual Robot. Just a question: why do you say that the new hpe engine is more reliable? Thank you
See our original review and partial tear down for many of the improvements on the newer HPE engine.
will this fit on new beverly 300 HPE 2021?
Should fit any of the HPE 300 motors used by Piaggio and Vespa.
Castrol " ENİ" MOTUL?
Will this fit the GT 200?
Is it compatible with the beverly 300 2016? Thank you!
I need this one. I need this one. I need this one. I need this one. How can I find it in Thailand?
Will these fit the older GT 250?
Highly doubt it.
@@barrettwbenton is that a definite or maybe 😂
Anyone know the brand and model screw gun he is using?
It's a Snap On driver.
‘21 Supertech reveal ok thank you 😬
Why do they call you Robot?
