    Andy showing a bluff might be the greatest feeling in poker... Especially this one because Martin was trying so hard to get a read on him, spent all his time chips, and was on the limit of the legality with his antics.

    • @youngjedi9199
      @youngjedi9199 5 років тому

      MMA Sports Master limits of legality? What are you talking about dude. He didn’t needle him or do any table talk. He was calmly looking at his opponent and talking to himself.

    • @MMASportsMaster
      @MMASportsMaster 5 років тому +5

      Young Jedi I said the limit of legality. He did not cross the line. However, if you watch the full video, he does so many pumpfakes it’s unbelievable. That’s probably why Andy showed. Such a humiliating bluff. And again: he did not cross the line but faking to call and faking to fold like he did is a little bit unethical in my book.

    • @effortlessawareness8778
      @effortlessawareness8778 5 років тому +3

      MMA Sports Master That's the poker part about reading and getting reads out of an individual. Players like Phil ivey and Durr have done it many times its the human aspect of live play and its legit. Phil Ivey vs doug polk aussie nillions, Durr on PAD against hellmuth when hellmuth was runnin bluffs on him, but thats why pro live players don't get phased by those shenanigans they have that countered and covered. So he can do anything he wants because it dont phase Andy, he's already taken care of that aspect to his game. It makes no difference. Martin is on the clock, its not like hes going to wait 15 minutes and keep doing weird shit. He has a time limit and Andys mind is in Lala land hes not even there at that point he's let go of the selfconscious aspect of being caught bluffin and he would feel less stupid and it woukd have less of an effect on his self esteem if he were called. He's comfortable being caught bluffin hes ok with it. He's minimized his worry if martin makes this call. This is not a pot that will define Andy hes won ALOT in these higher stakes cash games, way more than the amount he will lose if hes called here. So hes good hes relaxed. The $value of the noney isnt as important to himmas muvh is the vakue of the play therefore he is able to perform & play better.

Did you hear Andy or anybody at the table complain about an angle shoot? No. Do you see the line separating the gold felt from the black felt? The reason balking like this is allowed is because there's no easy way to draw a line defining what a player can and cannot do physically while thinking about making a call.
