Parker: says "stop the truck" in serious tone, and Elliot directly stopping. Very nice dynamic & coordination. He usually question and berates her, but with that tone, he knows what's up. Underrated scene.
love how hardison instanty knows what it is about when he sais oklahoma while the rest looks utterly confused and briana in disbelief "he has a father?"
Nice detail, Parker incapacitating the thug with such a simple one-handed choke. We forget that she hangs off the side of buildings by her fingers, her grip strength is scary.
@@onepieceyamato2901 I'm not the original poster, but it makes sense to me in that they're both known for playing kind of badasses/people with gray moral codes throughout their careers. They both have gravely voices, albeit slightly different in tone. And they both can sing beautifully in ways you wouldn't quite expect from men with their gruff demeanors.
@@candacen7779 That mix up is hilarious because we joke all the time that casting directors are trying to cast David Keith and get it mixed up, then when Keith David comes in they're like...oh, well, yeah and so Keith David gets a lot of jobs that seem like they fit David Keith, this being one of them. (ETA it started because Keith David is a lot more prolific acting wise than David Keith has been over the years but they both started off doing a decent amount of stuff). When I saw the casting for Eliot's father, we laughed about it happening again.
love the "you haven't seen your father in 60 years" lol and the welcome to the cookout line killed me. I was crying so hard at the end when Eliot teared up and then was crying as his dad and him hugged. Oh my heart
@@Iansco1 She didn't kill her parents, she just blew up their house, cause they were assholes. And Archie "adopted" her in that he taught her how to survive and how to be a master thief.
Nice to see Parker springing to action right after Eliot and with a chokehold too! Damn, girl! This chokes me up on two levels. Eliot making adoption not a big deal, with an interracial adoption not a big deal (which it unfortunately could have been in that time in that place) and then he opens up just that little bit to (damnit!) Hardison in space. I just want to hug him so tight all his broken pieces fit back together.
Agreed. I think a lot of people miss the part where it would have been the 1970s when Eliot got adopted. A transracial adoption to a black family in the 1970s would have had to take place under some extraordinary circumstances. There's so much more story here to tell. And I'm 100% here for it!
I have been a fan of this show since day one. I even go back and watch some of the older episodes. Seeing how Eliot and Harridosn's relationship evolved and then throw in Parker. Comedy for days. But then seeing Christian Kane be Eliot-like in The Librarians gave me my Leverage connection after the show initially ended,
Yep it my fav cus it got keith david in it as his dad, the best bit in the ep is where he tells a joke then proceeds with the punchline by breaking a dude's arm
What I know is there anyone can a father but it takes someone special to be a dad and that anything is possible especially in a small town no matter what shade of brown dark or light or in between someone's skin is it takes heart to love someone. Which in today's society very few real people have❤❤😢
Man, when I first saw this episode, me and my partner were watching it, their jaw was just on the floor, and I was just next to them screaming "WHAT!?!" Over and over again for like 5 minutes
The actor is Christian Kane and he played Lindsey McDonald, he also played a young Herb in Secondhand Lions which is how he got the scar on his upper lip, and in The Librarians.
For someone who lost his hand and worked for a demons, our long haired protagonist, doing pretty well. Lets hope it stays that way and he won't die this time... Can someone tell me where Angel went?? XD
Leverage is the series he did After Angel but before the librarians But to answer your question he and all of LA literally went to hell he became buddies with the dragon came back to earth took the name twilight and outted vampires to the world
I've seen the episode the funny thing is the two actors behave so much alike that by the end it's actually kind of hard to tell Elliot from his father in character. They behave more like twins than father and son it's a great dynamic.
This makes it kinda funny how rediciously overcompensating and defensiv hardison used to be, expecting eliot to start some dominance alpha bs against the geek, expecting prejudice against his race and family . . . .and eliot just being . . .like what is you problem?! Cause he understood way way more then hardison expected
They suck so hard at emotional support like really girls? Hardison is the only one with any capacity for IT when it comes to eliot and against all tgereotyps eliot is the overall best at it, but that does not help him

Because Eilot told Hardison about it no one else.
Parker knew but she knew to stay quiet.
It’s shows how much he trusts both of them.
No, Briana and Harry looked confused. Sophie, Parker and Hardison all knew what was up.
Nice detail, Parker incapacitating the thug with such a simple one-handed choke. We forget that she hangs off the side of buildings by her fingers, her grip strength is scary.
Well to be fair Parker is usually pretty scary overall.
Especially when she eats surger.@@shanerasmussen5225
I miss this show. My teacher in high-school played Santa in the first Christmas episode. We all threw him a party to celebrate. Rip mark
David Keith being Elliots father just makes all the sense 🤣🤣👏🏽👏🏽
Also Nate adopting orphans and giving them a family is an amazing addition.
To Clarify his name is Keith David Not David Keith.
Why makes sense? Context please, thanks

Briana being a typical little sister to Elliot is hilarious
This episode was all sorts of choking up. They did a fantastic job!
Also Hardison that smile, "You're in tha family, welcome to tha Cookout." LOL
"Hardison!" LOL
Harrison is still hilarious
That's why Hardison, Eliot, Parker, and Breanna click so well. They were all adopted.
@@deathbykonami5487 Was Parker adopted? I thought she just killed her parents and free ranged after that.

The best episode yet in my opinion

Parker and Hardison are the only two people that can make Elliot jump😂😂😂
I love how after years Parker learned to Undertaker their asses till Elliot can get to them.
This is why eliot knows about FLAVOR 😂😂😂. Got that black mom cooking.
Parker: Hey Eliot
Eliot: What the hell are you doing here
😂😂😂
A powerful scene, and for anyone who is adopted, there are always questions about what happened.
Hardison was adopted as well.

Vodka, Oil, and Chili Pepper to make Pepper spray, got it
Use the juice from a Ghost pepper or Carolina Reaper, more Capsaicin.
Oooh
This was such a good episode.
awww seein eliot tear up makes me a sad panda

You're coming to the cookout...
