Do you know if its possible to install a Wired Carlplay? I have bouth a Carlink and Autokit but doesnt work with the knob. Thanks in advances for your comments.
Hello Javier, no problem for the videos! I love creating them and spreading as much knowledge as I can. That's strange that the signal gets laggy. It runs solely off of your phones data because it is pretty much mirroring the phone except in carplay system. Yes, you can have wired carplay unit but You would need the dongle for it and an application that will boot with wired carplay. My old unit was wired but was a whole other screen unit with the dongle included.
My back up camera went black but still has grid lines. They told me to ship back to get repaired but at my cost. Only had for 6 months used for 4 months. So right now I'm running my oem and it's night and day. Need the bigger screen. But can't live with it my reverse cam.
ahh honestly I have a cheap one from amazon called Aukey lol, but my brother and coworker have Rexing dash cam and it has some pretty good reviews. I like that with Rexing you can have the footage downloaded via wifi straight to your phone where as mine has to be imported to a computer then to my phone.
I would double check if everything was plugged in all the way, it could also be the error of them sending out a different wire for the controller. You can contact her or which ever seller you went through to verify this.
Oh jeez, at the time it said one. I believe you can message the seller on there or if not you can message her on Instagram or Facebook. That’s how I ordered mine.
Any idea how this would work with the jog controls? I have one of those older units that used the jog controls with my 2014 is350 and it just didn't work half the time when I was moving it around. I know its harder for them to code in the controls for the jog rather than the dial so I was wondering if you know of any videos showing it with the other Lexus controls?
Barry has a video on his with his RCF controls but its different from jog. These devices are like tablets and have USB inputs and can be paired with a ergo touch pad that Barry added to his also. I have other friends with the joystick controller and it works fine. here's Barry's video with his unit ua-cam.com/video/-Y6AEgfrSV0/v-deo.html
have you double checked all connections are snug and clicked in? The knob should work but possibly that the wrong cord for it was sent or ordered as they are different for the knob, mouse, or joystick style.
It is except the unit is built into the screen so you'd still have to swap the screen either way, other options on amazon and ebay have just the module so you can retain that large OEM screen but a couple of my friends have that version and it does not have clear CarPlay audio.
Its wired to come on when you put it in reverse. With this unit there is also a setting to turn it on while in drive so you can see behind you if you want that.
How you get your backup Cam working? I plug in everything correctly I was told to go to setting and did that when I put it in reverse either two would happen go pitch black or go straight to oem screen. Also have android 11, but I seen your system really similar to mine.
Yeah after using it more there are for sure connectivity flaws...it’s really a hit or miss on when it will connect. Wireless ranges from instantly connected to even 5 minutes, sometimes even not connecting. Wired always connects no matter what and it is consistent with the times to boot CarPlay. Wish the still opted for wired on the new one.
@@kjaxplicit24 Its wireless only, there are USB ports in the wiring that came with it but plugging in a iphone cord and phone to it wont boot carplay. Previous wired carplay had a dongle on those USB ports and not sure if it would work if you found a dongle from amazon or something and plugged it in.
@@KennyVo that’s too bad. Maybe a software update will be rolled out to address this. I suspect CarPlay is a big motivator for people buying this. I know it is for me. Maybe Iric can help
It is only wireless since the CarPlay module is built into the screen unit now. Previously the wired CarPlay had a wired dongle attached to one of the USB ports but when I plug it in it only charges the phone. I believe you can opt for wired though if that is your preference.
Still good! The audio still glitches in and out every once in a while but it is not bad, I guess I just got used to it. It connects pretty quickly still. Nothing wrong physically with the device it does what you want it to.

It runs solely off of your phones data because it is pretty much mirroring the phone except in carplay system. Yes, you can have wired carplay unit but You would need the dongle for it and an application that will boot with wired carplay. My old unit was wired but was a whole other screen unit with the dongle included.
Does this work with the Nav/remote touch/joystick version instead of the knob?
It does, there is an option to select what kind of radio controller you have since the cables are different.
hey man, does you phone buttons on the steering wheel work after you install this unite?
yes they still work
My back up camera went black but still has grid lines. They told me to ship back to get repaired but at my cost. Only had for 6 months used for 4 months. So right now I'm running my oem and it's night and day. Need the bigger screen. But can't live with it my reverse cam.
I think I have the same problem, maybe a settings problem? Is it from the first day not working or after days?
Did you ever get this solved? What was the problem?
This is a settings problem. In the video I have the settings that should be selected
hey Kenny what do you recommend as a good dashcam?
ahh honestly I have a cheap one from amazon called Aukey lol, but my brother and coworker have Rexing dash cam and it has some pretty good reviews. I like that with Rexing you can have the footage downloaded via wifi straight to your phone where as mine has to be imported to a computer then to my phone.
Does the cluster on the screen work when driving?
Yes it does!
So, a cold boot of this unit is about 20 seconds? Not 40-60 like some other units?
Correct!
@@KennyVo One more question. This is using the built in mic and speakers, correct?
@@gregbutler4898 yes it uses the OEM speakers, it does come with a mic but i have mine unplugged and all calls go through OEM mic & speakers
@@KennyVo What about siri? Does holding the steering wheel button bring up the orb during apple carplay?
How is it now after 2 year of owning the new apple car play?
still running fine, i love it.
Where to purchase your item and the model price too thanks
Check description👍🏼👍🏼
Kenny, I’ve installed this same unit. My knob does not work. Any ideas?
I would double check if everything was plugged in all the way, it could also be the error of them sending out a different wire for the controller. You can contact her or which ever seller you went through to verify this.
Where can I get that system for my IS 250.
link in description
Your link says that it’s a 2 piece minimum order. Do you have a single order link by chance?
Oh jeez, at the time it said one. I believe you can message the seller on there or if not you can message her on Instagram or Facebook. That’s how I ordered mine.
@@KennyVo Awesome, thanks so much bro!
@@Phaeser808 Not a prob!
@@KennyVo are you making an install video any time soon?
@@Phaeser808 hey my friend, @kanbo , made one!

you have had it for some time now,,,, is it still working great? would you recomend me a better option available now?
Still going strong! I am unaware of a better version
Hi I'm based in South Africa
I need to install this carplay in my 2014 lexus is 350
wats the make of the carplay require supplier details
link in bio..
I have other friends with the joystick controller and it works fine.
here's Barry's video with his unit
ua-cam.com/video/-Y6AEgfrSV0/v-deo.html
I just bought one and installed it. I am not able to control anything with the knob, anyone faced that problem or have a solution?
have you double checked all connections are snug and clicked in? The knob should work but possibly that the wrong cord for it was sent or ordered as they are different for the knob, mouse, or joystick style.
how did you wire the camera ?
its just the yellow cables that says video/camera
Is this compatible with 2017 IS200t with Factory Nav 10” screen?
It is except the unit is built into the screen so you'd still have to swap the screen either way, other options on amazon and ebay have just the module so you can retain that large OEM screen but a couple of my friends have that version and it does not have clear CarPlay audio.
Are you running the factory amplifier?
Yeah, I also have subwoofer that is powered by an aftermarket amplifier also.
Sheesh no more cable like the old one. And the screen does look like it feels more responsive not as laggy
yessssuhhh!
How does the back up camera come on
Its wired to come on when you put it in reverse.
Where can I get this for my Lexus IS 300 2019?
link is in bio for purchase/inquiry
Hi, is that front grill stock?
yes it is, just the chrome surrounding is wrapped.
Dear. I have Lexus New IsS300 2.0 year 2020. I need CarPlay. Do you recommend where buy?
link is in the description of the video
@@KennyVo You can send me a quotation?
Do you have a link to the car play?
Yes, I listed it in the description of the video.
how do i tell if i have the knob or jog?
knob is the one like mine where you can rotate the dial, it is circular, jog is the joy stick rectangular looking one.
Is Android Auto wireless, too?
there is an option for it, you can message Iric on instagram or facebook to make sure
@@KennyVo Thanks!
Do you find the wireless CarPlay to be laggy? The animations seem to stutter when compared to the wired version in your last video.
@@KennyVo Thank you for the reply. Is there an option to connect via USB as well? Or are you strictly limited to wireless only?
@@kjaxplicit24 Its wireless only, there are USB ports in the wiring that came with it but plugging in a iphone cord and phone to it wont boot carplay. Previous wired carplay had a dongle on those USB ports and not sure if it would work if you found a dongle from amazon or something and plugged it in.
@@KennyVo that’s too bad. Maybe a software update will be rolled out to address this. I suspect CarPlay is a big motivator for people buying this. I know it is for me. Maybe Iric can help
does this work with any type of mouse?
It does, they have option to pick your controller type
Can you still use wired Apple CarPlay with this unit?
It is only wireless since the CarPlay module is built into the screen unit now. Previously the wired CarPlay had a wired dongle attached to one of the USB ports but when I plug it in it only charges the phone. I believe you can opt for wired though if that is your preference.
Bro i bought that same screen but i dont have no sound can you help me out
Go to your OEM system (hold menu button) then change the audio source to AUX. Go back to CarPlay and connect phone with Bluetooth it will work.
@@KennyVo my car doesn't have auxiliary
@@leo0420 when you hit media source it will have FM, AM, CD, Bluetooth and AUX… it doesn’t show it?
@@KennyVo im in my call right now
@@KennyVo it doesn't show it
Where can I purchase??

How is this holding up after 7 months?
Still good! The audio still glitches in and out every once in a while but it is not bad, I guess I just got used to it. It connects pretty quickly still. Nothing wrong physically with the device it does what you want it to.
@@KennyVo what's the audio glitch that you have?
is it still running flawlessly ?
still good!
are u always on eco mode?
Yes
lolllll no not always
Kenny how do you change the resolution on the stock lexus ui?
You cant change it. With this screen it is going to be stretched with the OEM operating system
Where I can get one
link in bio to contact seller
Why did it keep making noises?
that was my notifications from my phone linked to the car
Will this fit a 2016 IS200t?
It will, my car is a 2016 200t
Does this work with NX?
Yes, they have a separate link for the NX or you can message Iric directly on instagram for your specification. Her info is in the description of the video.
Just finished installing my 10.25 android wireless CarPlay unit, everything went smoothly and everything is plugged in. I am getting absolutely no audio what so ever from the unit itself. I am only getting audio from the OEM Lexus interface which I can’t even see actually, when I click on CAR, it brings me to a no signal page when I am supposed to be seeing my OEM Setup screen. Any help? I can’t even see the oem Lexus page and can’t get audio through the unit itself
I know one of my friends unit has a auxiliary cable that plugs into the cars aux port in the center console area for him to get audio. When you click on car or hold the menu button it is supposed to take you to the OEM Lexus interface.
Ngl couldn’t see half the time cus it was out of focus but other than that cool car and cool review
whoooops, I was using a new lens/camera combo, thanks for the honesty it does help :)
