I haven't even filmed half the stuff I been getting scammed with so far in Istanbul, from Alejandra's eyelashes to buying fruit in markets! I didn't expect an international hotel like the Crown Plaza to join in on the fun. The most important part is to have fun with it and not take it personal, you gotta bargain all the time, this is the way! (Mandalorian voice)

I was in Istanbul around the same time as you. My sister an mom def got scammed on tea ingredients in the Grand Bazaar an I got scammed on a taxi from the airport to our hotel.I noticed that they were more likely to go more for the females that were with me to scam. Im a big guy so I decided to take over any dealings with negotiating prices and saying no to hustlers on the street. Overall they had a nice time but it was a bit frustrating having to deal with the scammers an gypsies grabbing at your pockets. Ill say this, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Istanbul and they treated us like Royalty. Doesn't look as great as the Crowne Plaza but def worth staying at. Overall Id go again just for the food and the cheap shoes an clothes an the people(ones not trying to scam you). One more thing, on the Asian side this is less common I feel. Asian side was AWESOME!

@@uffyk479 Who ordered for 5 to eat ? Deal is deal and tip is tip. And a generous tip is always given in these videos, mostly a lot more than usual. I experienced these scams also, it sucks a lot. Mostly the wealthy dealers are trying to play this fasttrack game of compassion between so called poor and rich. Or stupid against clever in your pov ? And sometimes quite aggressive. "We" are not used to it. If you know that in advance, it can become a funny game - but it remains scam in our pov.

Actually you are completely wrong. The man says: 2 pieces are 50 liras, 5 pieces are 100 liras. The 2 juicers you bought at first are yours, the others were gifts, but you did not accept them. That doesn't make the man a fraud.

Even when I went to visit to Istanbul as a Turkish citizen, Some people tried to scam me too.
Don't change your mind because of a few parasitic crooks. You should go to Turkey and experience that amazing atmosphere.
I also recommend you to research other cities in Türkiye. Every region of Türkiye, west, east and north, has different beauties.

Love to see when you see the Mexican people out there working and selling their foods. You should show more of that. Just to see how they live, how they work and how they make their money. Find a really nice family. You can document their life stories and how they make their money on things they make from the land cook where they have to go to pick there fruits an go to markets to sale like they show the people from China been watching the orphan boy but to learn about my own people wood be great

Lemon Guy may not be intentionally scamming you, but his strategy you to opt for a larger deal. He offers a pricing scheme of 2 juicers for 50TL and 5 juicers for 100TL. After you give him 200TL, he gave you back 100TL in change and provides you with a total of 5 juicers. However, he claims that 3 of the juicers are free and you did not get that part, which isn't entirely accurate. In reality, he aims to pressure you to choose the 5 for 100TL deal. to push that deal, he was saying 3 of them were free. :) At least his price is very reasonable, because if try to buy that online price is 2 for 60TL - 70TL which he is selling for less than the online price.
