      So Destiny when had a debate where he was supposed to prove J6th was an insurrection, says the protesters do not matter. Trump sending fake electors was a coup. I listened to everyone's opening statements no one said coup, everyone said insurrection. This is called moving the goalposts which is a debating tactic when you do not have a strong argument. If the facts are against you, argue the law, if the law is against you argue the facts, if the facts and law are against you pound the table and yell like hell. This is Destiny's pound the table and yell like hell video.

    • @DeliveringSolutions
      @DeliveringSolutions 4 місяці тому +43

      No, from the snippet at the beginning, of which we don't see the entire context, Greenwald was just stating that Destiny had said that there were not more than 2 thousand people in the capitol building. But for real, until we see the entire part of that conversation, I think it is not wise to quote something without first seeing the entire point.... i.e. I'm giving Greenwald the benefit of the doubt. If you have ever watched Greenwald debate before, he is very articulate and does his research. The first part of this video is Destiny replaying clips of the 2 hour and 51 minute video and he knows his audience will not likely watch the entire thing.
      It's wise for Destiny to put clips at the beginning to make it look like he dominated the debate. The proof is in the pudding.
      I can't say more until I watch it. The video was just uploaded twenty something minutes ago....

      Police waved in many of the “trespassers” on the other side of the building. Many of them weren’t aware of the scope of what was happening. A judge has acquitted at least one man of all charges because video evidence was released showing police opening the door and waving him in.

There was actually no way to even segregate late ballots from the others. That's what a Post Worker whistleblower revealed in my town Erie, PA. Now was that same tactic used on A NATIONAL LEVEL? No. That's why everyone had the same line.
      "No CREDIBLE EVIDENCE

      Motive would 100% matter. Here, the motive for many of the law breaking violent invaders of the Capitol was to keep Trump in power, and that was Trump’s motive as well, so a killing would be clearly for insurrectionist purposes. A random psycho on a random day killing a random congressperson would likely not be evidence of trying to overthrow the government.
      Does any of this help Glenn in this context? No. But quoting the statement without context to make it sound wrong just gives it credibility for the annoying reasons i just had to outline.

    This was hard to watch and the disagreement comes down to 2 things: 1) destiny believes trump knew he lost the election and still did what he did to overthrow the government and 2) destiny believes this riot threatened the stability of the power centers of the government. The first is just absurd to debate. We can’t possibly know if trump really believed he won or lost. Remember when comey let HRC off the hook for her private e-mail servers bc of intent? Comey wanted us to believe someone as smart as HRC is that stupid. Trump, however, is actually stupid. And he just had to deal with 4 years of Russiagating and the IA undermining his every move. Chuck Schumer went on national tv warning trump that the IA had “six ways from Sunday of getting back at you.” It’s absolutely true this election was rigged, and it was rigged by the establishment. So is it really a stretch to imagine someone as egotistical as trump believed the election was stolen? The second is just silly. Only someone with no knowledge of world history prior to 2016 can believe the US was ever threatened. It’s like believing a toddler with a stick can hurt you. It’s so silly.

      Overturning the election is a threat. Trump undermined the election for a freakn year. In 2016 and 2020 reporters resorted to asking Trump, "will you abide by the election". Trump said, "We'll see". Then Trump used the power of office to blatantly lie repeatedly. He even cited stories that had already been debunked in newspapers and by election officials, and by his own advisors! Then Team Trump tried 60 lawsuits, all failed. Then Team Trump got fake electors and forged documents AFTER the states certified. Ultimately, Trump probed BEYOND the Constitution, felt resitance, then tactically retreated.

      I agree. It was presumptuous for Destiny to assume Trump knew he lost, if I say argued with Destiny and brought up body language of someone or even him, he'd accuse me of 'mind reading'. Well in your 1st point of disagreement, not only is it mind reading by Destiny to confidently assume Trump's knowing he lost, but that also puts Destiny into this sunk cost fallacy and even confirmation bias of having to be right and win at all costs. On your second point yes it's silly, as if there was any legitimate threat to the USA's government for the most part, this insurrection event was vanilla at best, nothing in comparison to coup within USA's history, not even comparable to the coups the CIA apparently facilitated in foreign countries or coups on other 3rd countries. Even the geography that USA has is so beautiful and very secure for the USA so in reality they really shouldn't complain about any outside invasions.

      The Oathkeepers/Proud Boy ect alliance, used the crowd to gain entry and as cover. They had planned to catch Pence or other Congress people and aides hold them hostage. Once they had hostages they would call their reinforcements to distribute weapons cached nearby to the crowd and hold the capital till Trump could be installed. When they failed to secure hostages the whole plan fell apart but that doesn’t change that the plan was there and they tried to implement it.

      No. Everything that happened in the videos of police officers being clubbed, crushed, and punched happened. It doesn’t matter if there’s three hours of video of the armed robber wandering around the convenience store after clubbing the clerk over the head. It adds *zero* relevant context.

      You literally don't have to state that you want to "get rid of Putin" for an insurrection to occur. You need paper trails proving that Prigozhin was raising an army, planning attacks, training militia directly, meetings that occured between foot troops and leadership, etc. Otherwise it's not an insurrection. Insurrections usually take years, or even decades of planning, and this is usually backed by paper trails and factual meetings and planning events. The Whiskey Rebellion was an ongoing rebellion for 3 years, and only like 5-10 people got charged for treason and they only got charged because they were literally on the ground at the scene shooting at federal agents. The people were revolting over taxes, not because they "wanted to get rid of George Washington."

      @user-zp9ni6qf8m Your lack of critical thinking shows why you would be a fan of Greenwald. An insurrection doesn't have to be successful , or even have the potential to be successful, to be an insurrection. Unlike many crimes like kidnapping and murder. Have you heard of attempted kidnapping and attempted murder? There is no such thing as an attempted insurrection because the attempt is the literal definition. An insurrection is an uprising against an authority or government. It is not the overthrow of an authority or a government. An insurrection is the attempt and the overthrow is a potential outcome. Since you struggle with critical thinking I'll use an even more basic example. Have you heard of a Hail Mary pass in football? A quarterback can throw a hail mary and it matters not one iota whether or not someone successfully catches the pass. The Hail Mary is the attempt just like an insurrection is the attempt.
      I mean seriously, read the 14th amendment. An insurrection against a government is by definition a failure because a successful uprising removes the government.
