Improve Your Voice I have this problem all the time. When I was maybe 14 or 15 I was on a bus and the ticket inspector came and asked me for my ticket. I gave him my under 16’s ticket and he didn’t believe I was under 16. He asked my date of birth and I couldn’t say it. He then kicked me off the bus because he thought I was lying.
Don’t feel that way. Life is long and you can make changes to start appreciating all that you have. Whenever you feel this way, I want you to write down three things that you are grateful for. Even if you feel awful, force yourself to sit and write 3 blessings that you can actually be thankful for! Then once you acknowledge these three things. Spend a little time working on this issue at hand. You’ll find that you’ve changed your psychology to a more positive mindset and so will allow the work to work because you’re not frustrated. 💪💪💪
@@trenchplugg I always talk to my mother... I'm joking, I CAN talk to girls well but it's awkward because being a guy who talks with a girl about girl stuff or about my hobby just feels weird in a way. Sometimes we run out of topics to talk about and it's just an awkward silence. These things didn't happen if I were to talk with other guys of course or with my childhood friend
Random guy you have a new friend today. ME ! I am your friend and i feel so much empathy to you. Never give up , you are stronger and more amazing than you believe .
I’m 18 years old, I’m terrified to apply for a job because of the interview, I hate speaking to people on the phone because my anxiety goes through the roof. I remember being at school and the teachers would ask the class a question, and I knew all the answers but couldn’t say them because I knew I would start to stutter. However, the only time I don’t stutter is when I’m saying phrases from a movie or start to sing. I just wish there was a cure to get rid of it. But this video has helped! Thank you.
I entirely hear you & relate to all of this that you express (been there). I've had a stutter since age 5. I'm 46 now. Had tons of speech therapy and even tried the speech easy device. It's just how we are made. The struggles are real and intense. Keep your head up and just do your best. So many have something going on challenging and stuttering is it for us. God speed.
okay this helps me but it’s not the best way. i stutter a lot too and when i’m arguing i start stuttering and i slowly lose the argument, but when i start to speak louder and do some hand gestures it really helps. ik it’s not the best way but at least i win the argument :)
My daily regimen to help manage my stutter is: (1) Practice Daily Mindful Meditation - 10 mins (2) Practice Diaphragmatic Breathing - 10 mins (3) Reading Out Loud - 10 mins (4) Practice In Front Of My Bathroom Mirror - I practice greetings, my name, salutations, etc.... The most fascinating aspect of all of this is when I DON'T focus on my stutter and I focus on the conversation, the person I'm speaking to and I'm in the moment, my stutter lessens and often goes away. When I focus on living and being in the moment, my speech improves. When I have a block, I stop, breathe, and continue on. We are all different in our speech journey but our common denominator is that we are not alone. The main point of all of this is that there is no magic pill but through daily practice, you will see and hear the difference. All of my coaches told me that if you want to get good at a skill, you need to practice. (My background: started stuttering at age 5 due to a traumatic dog attack. I had no voice for one year after the dog attack and then I attended 20 years of speech therapy. I'm 49 now with 95% fluency. I focus on living and not my stutter. Fear has no more control over me, I'm in control now.)
Stuttering makes us automatically humble, kind, nice, we are givers, we tend to be nice to cover up this flaw, we smile a lot... It's difficult to mock someone who is kind 😊
Hey guys! If you are interested in my journey as a stuttering writer I've posted my first video on my channel. Here's the link! Subscribe if you want to come along for the ride! ua-cam.com/video/o4PSpfYfXuc/v-deo.html
Summary 1. relax your body, muscles and jaw - drop shoulders and relax muscles - focus on breathing - massage jaw 2. slow down your speech - recognise patterns in speech stuttering 3. Focus attention away from yourself - focus on the action, not the words. Focus on how you're trying to affect the listener. Words will come automatically. - example: when flirting, don't think about the words you have to say but think about how you are trying to affect the other person with flirting. - example 2: when scolding, don't think about the words, think about the action and effect of scolding. 4. Practice daily If it doesn't work: stop, breathe, slow down, think of the action or change the action.
Improve Your Voice yes! I am able to record UA-cam videos now without sounding like I am dying! 🤪 now to calm my social anxiety so I can slow down in conversations with others 😅

The worst thing is when you actually managed to say what you wanted.. but no one listened so they tell you to repeat and when i repeat it i cant say it
I've been stuttering since I learned to talk. I couldn't get through a sentence without stuttering. My family (bless them) didn't know that it was an actual speech impediment and would hit me in the mouth every time I stuttered thinking that I was doing it on purpose. My mom's approach of getting me to get over my stutter was to force me into public speaking. Eventually I wouldn't stutter as much in front of a crowd (I still did very randomly with conversations) I was bullied because of my weight and my stutter as I was growing up, and it wasn't until I was in college that I saw The King's Speech for the first time and found out that I wasn't alone- a lot of people had that problem too. I used the same techniques I saw there and what I see in these videos to try to overcome my stutter. My stutter still comes back every now and then, but I learned to overcome it by: - avoiding trigger sounds when I know I'm about to stutter (so using a synonym instead: eg, saying sheet instead of paper) - using hand gestures to force the sound out - blending it with an "umm" to not make it so obvious - controlling my pace so I can really visualize each word I'm about to say. I never let my stutter stop me from doing what I love - I'm currently an English communications trainer and scuba instructor. So I'm constantly fighting my battle with my stutter every day, and not letting it silence me. So I'm super thankful for videos like this for helpinh me get through my stutter the past 10 years. ❤️❤️❤️
@@horvathlaszlo96 I like to think that when I stutter, the words are too shy to come out, so I have to literally force them out with hand gestures hahah
@@chrisandjullabutcher1292 that's right. I noticed that when I anticipate a stutter I immediately try to change (if possible) the syntax of the sentence and add either an adjective, or an adverb, or simply modify it in such a way that it creates enough of a momentum to spit it out XD
As someone who had a severe stutter and as someone who still has a minor stutter now. I can say this to you. 90 percent of it is psychological because when you stutter for so long it becomes a habit to stutter more and more. I took this course on Udemy and it’s helped me a lot. Also I have to say that meditation and reading a book out loud helps a lot and also getting out of your comfort zone too. You guys got this 💯
I had very bad stuttering. I overcome it. Now my son has it very badly. It makes me sad. He says he hates his voice and needs helps and says hes a failure. I just want the best for him

I am 26. I realized the less I speak the worse my stuttering become. Like now these days in pandemic when I spent so long at home and now I failed some job interviews because of it. Before when I study and work, the days when you meet and talk to people every day I could control it and stuttering less. Now it is getting uncontrollable
You're not alone. I'm 22. I'm an introvert. I stutter and stammer. The fear of this has made me refrain from having conversations with people. I'm terrified of having phone calls with people for the first time. When I'm called to read out, I'm terrified. The last time in high school when I was selected to debate. I stammered and stuttered so bad. That was the last the last time I ever did that. I haven't practiced speaking for years now that my spoken English is rusty. I found solace in written words. The irony of it is that I'm a lawyer, a UA-camr and a weight loss coach. All these entails that I speak a lot. I'm trying everyday to be better. Reading all these comments give me hope that I'm not alone
Same. Tried reading books aloud i hope this could help me. Im having an interview next week :((( and if i get this job i might be doing a lot of public speaking im so scared
i keep stammering while speaking, my family/teachers always say "spit it out" then they mimic me and that just makes me insecure about it and it causes me to stutter/stammer a lot, and i have social anxiety, i have 0 social skills and I'm only 12, i can't even talk to people anymore, this helped me so much ty sm

I was 4 years old when I started stuttering and I am currently 20 years old and I feel it getting worse. I realized things I did that I never thought would trigger my stutter. Whenever I talk I feel like people just aren’t interested in what I have to say or they even devalue my opinion. This video was very helpful. Thank you.

I am grateful for the comments under this video. I don't meet a lot of people who also stutter (nome really) and to read the comments under this thread of people who know exactly the struggle and anxiety that comes with stuttering, it makes it a bit more bearable. I feel like I have to constantly prove to people that I am smart cause a lot of people assume I am not due to my stutter.
The funny thing about me is that I stutter a lot when I’m with family and friends but when I need to speak in front of a group of people or present a project I speak fluently

I am 69 years old, and have stuttered all my life. I have found by “trial and error” that I need medication to treat anxiety AND depression. That may or may not require two medications. From my reading, I have found that what will work for one person may not work for another. For depression, I suggest that you start with Prozac; I have used it for 30 years. I have heard that Xanax has bad side effects. Clorazepate is one of several medications designed to treat anxiety. It greatly helped my speech at first, but its effect slowly declined because my body developed a tolerance for it. It also has bad side effects: it makes a person drowsy, and I once fell asleep while driving and almost got killed.
I am an adult stutterer since ten. But being a regular public speaker myself, i can attest that concentrating on your breathing, taking control of slow, deep breaths work wonders just before going onstage. “Actioning” is something new to me so I am gonna give it a try thanks!
I’m 100% they same way. I don’t miss a beat when I’m pissed. My mind knows exactly what it needs to say and my breathing is usually deep. I actually try and get a little mad sometimes just to speak clearly. Like the hulk.. I’m always angry 😤
I realised stuttering for me is 90% a confidence thing, when i was happy with life, more confident in myself physically and mentally i rarely stuttered or at least from what i remember, however recently being low on confidence i've struggled a lot, hopefully if i can get myself back on track my speech will improve
@@vocabilities I dont know but I used ur tips and they are helping though when I talk with my friends or normal I cannot constantly say in my brain that I have to talk slowly. When I decide to talk slowly I do not stutter at all. But I cannot break the habbit
I don't think it's confidence issue. In fact that is the most common symptom of someone who stutters. He is able to speak fluently to himself but can't speak to others.
Hey man I just wanted to thank you so much. I watched this video before my presentation my last presentation was a month ago I got a 3/10 and got bullied and made fun off everyday today I spoke fluently and clearly. You need more recognition love you man ❤
I mostly stutter at words starting with vowels and when I fear of something or if I get anxiety. Thanks for the video it was relatable and practical. I'll surely try using your tips :)
I noticed something when I am sick I no longer stutter because I’m so tired and fatigue to the point where I don’t concentrate on my speech and being shy and embarrassed in front of strangers like doctors and nurses So I used this mindset to start observating myself and it actually worked!!

This video was great for me bc I grew up with a stutter from being in an abusive home. I went to speech therapy in school & got it under control, but as an adult I got into a physically abusive relationship & my stutter came back full force. I put in a TON of work to get it under control again. Now it mainly comes out only when I'm stressed or very upset, but there are occasions where it comes out of nowhere. This video has helped me nip it in the bud every time. Thank you so much! I am a voice actor & you've helped me tremendously throughout the years to become a better one

If you have time read it, else ignore :) My friend stutter a lot and honestly I don’t find anything wrong with that I feel like it’s just a special way for them to talk and to be known but he really hate it, he hate talking to people and he hate using his own voice for communication and I’ve tried giving him support mentally like I honestly never thought that the way he talks is detracting or unordinary I think of it as special bu the doesn’t and I am just trying my best to help but I just don’t know what to do 🤧🤧😭😭💕💫 I am his childhood friend and he always tell me if it was special then why can’t I make new friends, ITS YOU is my reply always because you should try putting yourself out there I know that it’s hard and it takes a lot of courage but you shouldn’t hide who you really are to sake acceptance, you are perfect and I mean a lot suffer more severe stuff but they fight and over come the power to defeat it BE STRONG and PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE, you only live once and you will regret being anti social just because of your stuttering. Some are willing to accept you the way you are so don’t let those who destroyed your confidence or YOU from someone who might give you all the support you want 🥰 I love you for who you are and even if no one loved you I am here and I know I might not be much but talk to me if you need it 😭😭💕 I really love his reactions when he is stuttering and trying his best to express his emotions 😂😭🥺💕 someone might feel that same way AND I KNOW THERE IS SOMEONE

I don't interact with people because of same stutter, especially in school people laugh at me when ever I want to say something, I felt embarrassed 😳 thanks for your tips
I stutter a lot. Even in the daily life when I'm speaking to my family members and sometimes I can't even get the "good" out to say good morning. Sometimes they get angry at me even though it's something that I can't even control. They think life is easy for me because they have never stuttered. That's the thing I hate to most. I just want everyone to ignore my stuttering when I talk.
Story time! I got pulled over last year. When the officer walked up he asked for license and registration. I responded by stuttering pretty heavily and the officer asked me if I had anything illegal in the car. Then I responded with more stuttering and stammering. He then proceeded to call 4 more officers to search my car because he thought I was extremely “nervous”. When in reality I have a speech impediment. Took them 3 hour to search my car…

I found a solution for my stuttering: just concentrate while talking. It really works you just have to practice to concentrate while talking bc I was just bringing sentences that I memorised just by saying it a lot and that’s how I stuttered but I found the solution of concentrating while talking after a few months of stuttering and I want to help all of you guys to get through it bc I know how hard it is to not stutter I hope this helped
I only stutter at the BEGINNING when I start speaking. Once I get the first few words out I’m good, but man...sometimes it feels impossible to get started when it’s my turn to speak. I really have to prepare for it, which only increases my anxiety.
@irl bratzdoll Yeah it sucks man. Like, I would be really good socially, but I have a habit of stuttering when it’s my turn to start speaking. This knowledge and self awareness that I have of my stuttering only increases my anxiety and it makes me self conscious and less socially adept than I’d like to be.
I am 22 now. I use to have a bad speech impediment where I couldn't even finish a sentence. It all started with a constant ear infection. Yes. A ear infection. It created a disconnect with me hearing, to what I am saying. Fast forward 6 years. I always had a speech therapist in both elementary and middle school years. As a young child, it greatly affected my social and mental health at the time where I was constantly teased to the point where I stopped talking all together, throughout my whole middle and part of my high school years. Today, I am talking and able to go through a conversation without severely stuttering. I trip up sometimes when I talk to fast, so slowing myself down helped me alot. Thank you very much for this helpful video.
Thank you for commenting, that’s quite a story and it sounds like you are heading toward gaining back full control! 💪💪💪 what’s been the most powerful thing you’ve done?
Oh my god it actually works. I'm in the kitchen and just started talking to myself then actively tried to slow down. I felt like I could inhale and exhale whilst talking, and it made me relax my face and body which helped me by giving me time to think whilst speaking. Thank you so much!
I have such a story: I live in Russia and have been stuttering since I was 5 years old because I loved scary movies and games, I don't remember exactly at what point I started stuttering. SCHOOL STAGE:when I turned 7, I went to school, but in elementary school I didn't pay much attention to it, but then the moment of transition came and I began to fixate on it and was afraid to speak, there were moments when the teacher asked me a question and I knew the answer but couldn't answer, or for example when they asked my last name and I didn't I could answer and I pretended not to hear (it was terribly embarrassing) but fortunately at school they didn't laugh at me, only sometimes they talked about me, but it was for 1 day. Now I am 14, I am actively engaged in various speech exercises and I have almost stopped being afraid, but there is still a lot of work Exercises that help me: you pull a belt or belt over your stomach and start reading, at the moment when you say the words inflate your stomach yes, inflate it, 2 I'm just talking to myself and as a bonus, since I'm learning English, it helps me too.
Thanks Darren, for making the world a better place. My love to all fellow humans who suffer from speech impediments. When I became a father I stopped stuttering almost totally. I did no longer care if I talked fluently or not. My daughter became much more important than myself. Good luck to all of you!
I want to personally thank you for this as I have had a stutter since birth. I have to give a presentation every month at my work and I have meetings daily where I have to talk in them and I have been struggling with my confidence with my stutter. I use the techniques you listed and I almost never stutter anymore! You helped improve my confidence in speaking to others and I simply cant thank you enough!

I have had a traumatic childhood that caused me severe case of inferiority complex and anxiety and i started stuttering as a child. I have problem telling my name to others. I hope i overcome this problem sooner!!
This is great information. I have limited my abilities and experiences in this life because of my stuttering and I'm finally tired of it. One way to help fluency I think would be to practice singing your words. There are three instances where I use my voice and I don't stutter: when using a fake accent, speaking out loud when alone, and when I sing.
what’s strange about my stutter is that I only stutter in front of my family and if i order food or something (under pressure) but i never stutter when i talk to my friends. my mum said mine is psychological because i only ever do it when i tense up and think about it.
I'm a med student and I have learnt to love myself despite of my stutter, i always find a way to control it and be a better version of myself. The advice i can give to someone like me who stutter is never mind people just speak eventually you will be ok
Maximum dose of Vitamin B1 (500 mg a day) has worked absolute miracles for me. I'm a 56 year old woman stuttering on and off since very early childhood due to head trauma and stressful upbringing. I also find this video very helpful!
I think rather then slowing down, we must allow the tounge to complete its motion while speaking. This make our mind more confident that we are able to speak and also it gives time to tounge and vocal cords to come in position for the next word. I have tried this and this has really worked like I tried to speak some complex words like Reservation, Conformation in normal speech with the technique and this relly worked. Slowing down is good but if we combined the above mentioned technique it can produce best results.
So we had this poetry competition and for an odd reason I couldn’t say words. It took at least 30 seconds to say 1 word. From that day on I would stutter all the time. Thank you. You helped me so much,

It’s people like you that are helping us get through this. Btw Reiki sessions really helped improve his flow
I do competitive debating and i love talking, I also dream to be a lawyer, im 20 now. But the thing is, I stutter. I stuttered as a child and into adult hood, it was worse in my teens than got a little better as an adult but to this day I still stutter a bit. I made some observations, when I talk to new people I'm going to date I by habit lower my voice and talk smooth and rarely stutter, then when I talk to my friends or family, or at work, or when I particularly recall and retell a story it's when I stutter the worse. In HS in certain classes I stayed quite most of the time out of fear I would stutter, then In some other classes I was more comfortable with talking and didn't stutter as much. I have been very deeply ashamed of this and couldn't even admit that I stuttered to my self
I make music. I NEVER stutter or stammer when I rap. I hardly stutter in front of people I’m comfortable with. But I begin to stutter a lot and experience blockages in moments where I’m put in the “spotlight”, when I know I’m being watched/listened to by more than 1 person. I get all nervous and I can’t get a simple sentence out. E.g. : I went out to eat with my friends one time & I was told by them to go ask for ketchup. Here’s how that went: “Hey! I was wondering if I could get some ke--, uhhhhhh, some ke--, ummmm” over and over, until my friend overheard and just said “ketchup” for me. The cashier didn’t say anything but he did give me a weird look. Needless to say, it is completely HUMILIATING. I begin to question if I’m stupid or not. Is this a case of social anxiety or a speech disorder? It’s my biggest insecurity and I’m so afraid of it lingering for the rest of my life.
I have a stutter, a relatively slight stutter, but still a stutter. I actually tried this myself a few months ago and it has really helped - just talk slowly. I've always wondered how actors who stammer/stutter like Rowan Atkinson, James Earl Jones and Samuel L Jackson are able to just switch into character mode. Thanks so much for explaining "actioning" it makes sense as the times I'm most fluent is when I have an action like "to flirt" or "to vent" or "let rip". It might also be why Samuel L Jackson says saying "Mother F*cker" helps him to distinguish the stutter. I'm going to practice this and report back. Great content. Subscribed.

Hello, I'm 44 years old. I started when I was 8 years old. I was mocking(mimic) my old brother who was 14 years old. He stopped stammering at 17. I couldn't. I have a problem with opening voyels. Everytime I want to pronounce a word starting with a voyels, I find myself absolutely out of breath. This condition is holding me back. Thank you so much for your video, I'll follow the instructions and hopefully, it's going to work.
Stuttering can bring someone down, I was at work and usually when I translate I can't, and the person to whom I was translating too gave a complaint to my manager, I wish ppl would be more considerate and think before they say anything. My Stuttering started bc of a trauma I had 2 yrs ago, it sucks not to be able to say a simple word or sentence
Even though I'm still primarily young,, I found when I keep thinking and perciving I had a stutter it just made it worst. I'm so nervous of ordering fast food which makes me really upset because that means I'll just have to order on postmates all the time.. it's really getting to me how stuttering still isn't normalized. I have trouble speaking to my mom and her reponse is "speak better". Seriously, so unencouraging. I really want to go to the hairdresser to get my hair styled but I had a horrible experience with a hair dresser saying how "I wasn't fluent in speech" and is quote on quite an illiterate. Anyway, I fear for my future thank you for listening to my tedtalk. 💗

It gets horrible when i’m TRYING to say something. if it’s something useless like “ok sure” or “that’s fine” it’s not there. but when i explain something or tell a story, i can never get the words out and it takes me hours. I hate it bc now people think im weak, or have no personality, or can’t stand up for myself, or even talk, all because of this that wasn’t even natural in the first place. it frustrates me a lot. and i wish i could get rid of it.
A very good tip that I use to not stutter ( I still stutter till this day but this trick made it so much better ) I used to think that I’m a celebrity and I’m giving a speach while thousands of people are watching me. It really helps
That just saved my life I was starting to go crazy with my speech I’m always racing in everything I do but that helped me relax thanks for the knowledge
I used to be a really good speaker, and I never used to be nervous in 5th grade now in 6th I can hardly speak and I'm super embarrassed thanks this helped me a lot
I cannot tell you how much this has helped me! It's a great way to ease the breathing and slow down my pace, my stammering is almost gone. Thank you so much!
I started at 4 and Have Been Stuttering For 8 Years I am Now 12 and Still Stutter sometimes When I Have an Argument My siblings Always Bring Up My stuttering
I found some kind of a solution for myself too, if anyone reading this you should consider that method to speak more fluent than you already are. Use different but same meaning words. For example in my language morning means "sabah" and afternoon means "öğlen" so thats out of the way i sometimes cant say and stutter while try to say "öğlen" so what i do is i change my words a little and i go "Can we meet after morning on monday ?" instead of "Can we meet at afternoon on monday ?" so that way i can speak more understandable. Have a nice day and be positive mate.

He then kicked me off the bus because he thought I was lying.
stuttering has destroyed my life. i have no friends, no social life and no fun. i hate my life
Don’t feel that way. 💪💪💪

Thank you.

@@ahmedmerdoukhahmed9765 People dont understand that stuff, and when you do try to answer and you stutter you get so mad at yourself.
God speed.

Same this is the worst😔😔
This is very helpful. Thank you for the tips.

Summary
1. relax your body, muscles and jaw
- drop shoulders and relax muscles
- focus on breathing
- massage jaw
2. slow down your speech
- recognise patterns in speech stuttering
3. Focus attention away from yourself
- focus on the action, not the words. Focus on how you're trying to affect the listener. Words will come automatically.
- example: when flirting, don't think about the words you have to say but think about how you are trying to affect the other person with flirting.
- example 2: when scolding, don't think about the words, think about the action and effect of scolding.
4. Practice daily
If it doesn't work: stop, breathe, slow down, think of the action or change the action.

I prayed we overcomes it sooner, because it getting out of hands. I'm lost here
I've been stuttering since I learned to talk.
Eventually I wouldn't stutter as much in front of a crowd (I still did very randomly with conversations)
I was bullied because of my weight and my stutter as I was growing up, and it wasn't until I was in college that I saw The King's Speech for the first time and found out that I wasn't alone- a lot of people had that problem too.
I used the same techniques I saw there and what I see in these videos to try to overcome my stutter.
My stutter still comes back every now and then, but I learned to overcome it by:
- avoiding trigger sounds when I know I'm about to stutter (so using a synonym instead: eg, saying sheet instead of paper)
- using hand gestures to force the sound out
- blending it with an "umm" to not make it so obvious
- controlling my pace so I can really visualize each word I'm about to say.

I only stutter at the BEGINNING when I start speaking. Once I get the first few words out I’m good, but man...sometimes it feels impossible to get started when it’s my turn to speak. I really have to prepare for it, which only increases my anxiety.
this is literally my same situation 😕

Oh my god it actually works. I'm in the kitchen and just started talking to myself then actively tried to slow down. I felt like I could inhale and exhale whilst talking, and it made me relax my face and body which helped me by giving me time to think whilst speaking. Thank you so much!
Amazing that you took the time and tried it! I’m so glad you found benefit! Keep going 🙏🙏🙏
Now I am 14, I am actively engaged in various speech exercises and I have almost stopped being afraid, but there is still a lot of work
Exercises that help me: you pull a belt or belt over your stomach and start reading, at the moment when you say the words inflate your stomach yes, inflate it, 2 I'm just talking to myself and as a bonus, since I'm learning English, it helps me too.
I'm 14 yrs old and ive been stuttering for 2 yrs now, ppl make fun of me. Thank you so much it really helped!!

I have had a traumatic childhood that caused me severe case of inferiority complex and anxiety and i started stuttering as a child. I have problem telling my name to others. I hope i overcome this problem sooner!!
Therapy. Therapy is amazing. Please get therapy
I’m getting bullied for stuttering and this video helped me a lot thank u 🙏🏼
I hope you’re doing better
Ive stuttered for a while its improved alot this video is so helpful
I’m so pleased to hear. I have a second one also with other techniques if that helps!
Maximum dose of Vitamin B1 (500 mg a day) has worked absolute miracles for me. I'm a 56 year old woman stuttering on and off since very early childhood due to head trauma and stressful upbringing. I also find this video very helpful!
Wow that’s an interesting insight! And from physical trauma too! Thanks for commenting ☝️
Thank you. You helped me so much,
I do have stuttering since i was a kid up until now and i’m 24 years old. It’s kinda sad you know because it’s not uncontrollable and ppl would say that it was intentional. :(
I've never talked about it on Internet but I stutture scince I started to talk, I have this frustrating moments where you just can't express yourself at phone, ordering food or even thinking outloud. I've been through awfull presentations and people thinking I'm mentally ill and every thoses emotional moments when you lose faith .. BUT somehow I joind many students activites, I have made great friends and today I succeeded a job video-interview. I have no Idea where all this come from but I'm quit sure that giving up was never a solution. Do your best and you will get it at the end. All love to all stammers in the world ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you this. My 6 year old has recently started a stammer and tick and it hurts me so much to watch. It started after the lockdown. I let him play Fortnite with his older brother and it made him so stressed and upset. The beauty of the stuttering has meant I’ve given him so much more focus and time and really bonded with him. It’s people like you that are helping us get through this. Btw Reiki sessions really helped improve his flow
I do competitive debating and i love talking, I also dream to be a lawyer, im 20 now. But the thing is, I stutter. There are times where I can manage my stuttering, but there are times where i stutter a lot, to the point that i cant continue speaking, this caused me anxiety. It's depressing when you cant control something in you. But thanks for this! I'll try this in my next debate round. 😊
The chocking part is the worst. I'm 17 and things aren't getting better for me lol. Social interactions are a rollercoaster ride.
I have never met a lady who stammers... I need one in my life... We are the best ever
I was able to prevent my self from stuttering when I started to exercise a lot, it would give me more breath and better control of my breathing which helped with my speaking.
That’s interesting have you been continually doing them!
Improve Your Voice interestingly recently I haven’t been doing a lot of exercise and I’ve noticed my stutter has been coming back a little. But I’ll be going back soon enough
Yeah gotta change up then habits! 😉
And remember to not let your stuttering slow you down embrace it face it and make a move & you will get confident and confident it's the key
Good words!
I started to shutter when I was 4 or 5. My mom was shuttering when she was young, my grandpa was shuttering when he was young. I don't why we all shutter. It seems like we have "family sick"
Also thanks for the video, it was helpful
I stuttered as a child and into adult hood, it was worse in my teens than got a little better as an adult but to this day I still stutter a bit. I made some observations, when I talk to new people I'm going to date I by habit lower my voice and talk smooth and rarely stutter, then when I talk to my friends or family, or at work, or when I particularly recall and retell a story it's when I stutter the worse. In HS in certain classes I stayed quite most of the time out of fear I would stutter, then In some other classes I was more comfortable with talking and didn't stutter as much. I have been very deeply ashamed of this and couldn't even admit that I stuttered to my self
i have always had my stutter ever since i was born and i feel very insecure about this stuttering. Now im determined to stop stuttering.
Here’s how that went:
“Hey!
You don’t have to be a rapper all the time. Also, for some reason, I stutter when I talk to my mom and my dad, however when I talk to my friends, haven’t stutter once.
That’s interesting, there may be a power dynamic that you feel freer to speak with friends rather than family! 😁
@@vocabilities it's like this for me too. At work or with friends I don't stutter but around my children & family I do. Can you explain the term "power dynamic"? Thanks
I work as a bank teller and I consistently talk to people and having a stutter is so embarrassing I feel ashamed to even talk and even sometimes want to quit I’ve been trying to just finds way to help me stop stuttering or at least help it but thank you!
Subscribed.
Tim Murphy yeah man go for it. I look forward to your feedback!
@@vocabilities hi do you give any private session for people who stutter ,thank you
Jasmine Aba not currently. Usually this kind of issue is best in the hands of a speech therapist. However I might include hypnotherapy for certain people!
Improve Your Voice thank you any recommendation please ??! Of good therapist name even in other countries and for professional who does hypnotherapy ,my email address is : yasmineaballaoui3@gmail.com

Thanks alot from a perspective of voice coach and actor you are the one who is helping stutters.
By helping to reveal the secret why do people doing acting don't stutter it is really helpful.
And it's really interesting topic and subject that many acting coach and voice coach don't talk
Thanks for this
sourabhh vijjayaash thank you for saying so. 👍🏻
Message me on Instagram bro I will help you. Instagram @patrick_tuson I stuttered for 25 years. It's easy to beat
Thank you man 💓 i am suffering stammering from 10 years now i have to focus and improve my self!!! Thanks for your tips
i’m 18. i never stuttered as a kid. i went through something traumatic 2 years ago and that caused my stuttering to get worse.
This man is a life saver 💯 appreciate it bro
Timmy DatYounggin have you tried many other vids?
Bro message me on Instagram I will video call you and show u how I cured it.. @Patrick_Tuson
A very good tip that I use to not stutter ( I still stutter till this day but this trick made it so much better ) I used to think that I’m a celebrity and I’m giving a speach while thousands of people are watching me. It really helps
🤩Good to read you! It gives me hope...
There was a substitute teacher and we where going around the class saying our name When I had to say my name I literally couldn't😓
Me wondering why I'm still single:
my stammering laughing at me:
😂
ur not alone bro
I thought I was the only one 😂
Exactly bro😅🙌
