Seen Sammy Hagar and the circle here in the Chicago area last night at Naperville ribfest. The concert was amazing! Sammy and the band pulled off some great Led Zep tunes with the variety of VH songs and Montrose! Amazing show and I definitely would recommend fans to see Sammy and the circle!
couldn't have said it any better, I love the mighty VH with all 3 singers as long as they keep rocking it out. don't like all the negative stuff, just wish they all could get along, VH family is big world wide.
snoopy speagle He's touring across the states. I'm sure more peeps will upload videos. They will also have a live record out mid-May, so you can at least hear the complete songs.
VFCS- Thanks for posting this video. I have been a long time VH fan and an even bigger Sammy Hagar fan. I'm glad he's still doing some dates in the US. Waiting for him to hit the Detroit area again but his touring is limited. The Sammy / DLR debate will always exist but one thing everyone should agree with is the Van Halens are difficult people to deal with, especially Eddie. His latest quotes in Rolling Stone are ridiculous. Sammy is one of the greats left. He's humble, thankful and seems like an around cool guy. We're going to VH in September. Bought cheap seats. Its come down to that. Great video. Thanks again.
Seen the Circle in 2014 Canada, WOW what a show, Extreme was on stage before the Circle, 4 hours of Utopia, can't wait until they return, rock music as it is to be, Mike Anthony is one of few truly great entertaining solid human beings in the Universe. !!!!!!
Hey man!!! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I was like being there!!! I have not been in the US for 13 years now and this is one of the bands I really want to see. I hope I can see them this year but if not You gave me a great perspective of this show. Some of the best musicians and hard rockers of the world are in this band. It was a great experience it gave goose bumps all over. Thank you man. I'm from Mexico City Mexico by the way.
You did a great job! The first time I saw you was for Rockville!!! I didn't go this year. I was joking with my wife & saw the mini. Paramedic ambulance & was joking with her saying that's your ride home. Jinxed it!!! It happened during Rob Zombie.Crowd surfer landed on us & that was the ride to outside & bigger one drove us to the hospital. Missed Korn that night!!!
Michael Anthony truly is the greatest utility player in rock music. He can play any song with anyone and make the song better. Wolfgang Van Halen can certainly rip a bass in half with his riffs, but never has a "lead bass" style like that made me buy an album. Make Mine Mike!
John Westcott I have to give credit to Wolfie. Without him, VH would have remained dormant. He's a monster on bass as well, but to me, Michael Anthony is as much a cornerstone of VH as Eddie and Alex.
+John Westcott the kid is a better bass player all around and it's not even his strongest instrument he plays drums and guitar but as far as harmonies and backing vocals he was the cherry on the sundae with classic van halen no doubt I miss him.him and dave have no beefs its eddie.and dave could really use him right about now.and im a hardcore classic van halen fan
+ViewFromTheCheapSeats AGREED!!!!! THANK GOD FOR WOLF. VAN HALEN WILL NEVER DIE HE WILL FORM A NEW LINEUP WHEN ITS OVER FOR ED.one time on you tube wolf is sitting down on a drum set with a drum stick in one hand and one hand to play bass and he played both together and it sounded incredible he is really a together young man
+John Westcott ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS YOUR TELLING ME WHAT MAKES YOU BUY AN ALBUM IS THE LEAD BASS STYLE YOUR A LIAR JOHN AND THE KID IS A BETTER BASS PLAYER THAN MIKE MIKE WAS NEVER KNOWN AS A GREAT BASS PLAYER A BACKING VOCALS GUY YES
Good work from Dave from Down Under!!Nice personal touch but not to overbearing!!I knew he pushed his liquor but didn't think quite that much!!LOLKeep up the good work and thank your shy partner as she was taking footage in the car...Take Care..Peace n Love..
Hey Everyone - I've been keeping up with the comments on the video and just have to wonder why there is so much hatred back and forth between the Sammy fans and Dave fans. In the end, aren't we all fans of Van Halen? Eddie had some bad stuff to say about everyone, including Gary in his latest rant. I don't hate on anyone and love the band for what it was - the greatest rock band of all time (in my eyes). They survived multiple eras of singers and song styles, which is nearly impossible for any band to do. Why gripe about anyone when we can enjoy what we have, while we still have it?
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Eddie is about the age to need viagra, Maybe his only way to rise is to put people down. Mike and Sammy are still rocking along , not skippng a beat. Just shows who is telling the truth. The only sad part is that fans of each line up get the music that they loved at those different stages of the band's history tarnished. The magic and spirit of true music is to create something that will stand on it's own for a long time. Most times the music that is created fills a deep void in people lives that ends up changing lives, And in some cases pulls people from a ledge. There's no human need to tear someone down that was a sum of the parts of a whole that made music a great inspiring part of hundreds of thousands of peoples lives.
Well said man! I love VH and yes I prefer Sammy over Dave but that's just me. The vintage band had some great tunes just as Sammy did and I think people like to get on the gripe wagon is what I call it. I appreciate your videos and I think by commenting negativity is an insult to you and your channel and I think people should be ashamed of themselves for that and that's my rant for the day! Rock on bro!
Steven J Schuler I appreciate all comments - whether they are positive or negative and don't take any of it as an insult. I appreciate when people tell me genuinely how they react to the videos.
Great video!!! Your a class act with the way to end it. Much respect for ya dude! I myself am going to see Kip Winger acoustic next month, U2 in a week and maybe a show out in Arizona this summer when I'm out there. It's all about the music & having a great time regardless of age. Peace brother!!
Its Awesome how Vic Johnson plays the VH stuff, he puts his spin on it, but doesn't try to rip Eddie off. And Jason Bonham is a FN beast! I saw VH in 2015, and it was great. I am bummed I missed this show.....I do hope to see a Van Hagar reunion.....Mikey on Bass and Wolf on Keys/Rythm guitar...that would be epic
+mecha gojira69 Oh let it go. Can't you just appreciate the music without the Roth Hagar debate? It's not even a Roth Era song! I mean you're watching it too so why give me a hard time?
StangQuest94 IF YOU DON'T WANT A POTENTIAL HARD TIME THEN DON'T POST THINGS ANYMORE THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT BELIEVE ME IM SICK OF THE BACK AND FORTH TOO!!!! YOU KNOW WHEN BRIAN JOHNSON REPLACED BON SCOTT THEY COME OUT WITH ONE OF THE GREATEST HARD ROCKING ALBUMS OF ALL TIME BACK IN BLACK MAKES 5150 SOUND LIKE A TEENY BOPPER ALBUM
I have to laugh when people post that SH is doing a "cover" of VH. Most people DON'T realize SH wrote/recorded the guitar parts/produced 99% of his music in VH. He also had to teach EVH how to play the guitar parts HE recorded in the studio for their albums. SH was a guitar player before he became a singer. He allowed EVH to take "credit" for the guitar parts/riffs that SH recorded on THEIR albums. Somehow, the public was duped into believing EVH came up with those riffs when SH was in VH. Just watch a "live" video and you will see EVH playing keyboards while SH was hammering the guitar.
StangQuest94 This was at the Hard Rock Live at Universal City Walk. I don't have any more footage - sorry! He does have a live record out now with the version included.
Michael Warbux What? I couldn't hear you over the hum in my ears. LOL. Actually, the mix was pretty good at Sammy. My ears rang more from the second stages at Rockville.
MustangRed1967 Jason is Rock Solid. Back in the 90's, I personally fed the guy 6 Red Dog Beers b4 he played! handing him the last one , hes like,"Do u want me to play good, or not!???" say that w/a English draw...lol
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Two or three tracks are not very good - all other stuff of the new live album is excellent. If you're a fangirl of Shammy - that's okay. But it's stupid to come up with "Daves voice, Daves voice" in every second post - so childish and laughable.
Dirle Wanger Which tracks on the new live album sound good to you? The music sounds great. The vocals are horrendous. I love all eras of Van Halen and have tickets to see them with Dave again. Reality is though, the brothers sound amazing. Dave sounds awful (and he used to be amazing).
It was painful listening to Vic try and play Eddie. Poundcake was completely played wrong, and let's face it, no one can play him - although the atomic punks have had some good imitators. everything else sounded good
dockaiser Actually, he did the 1988 Atlantic records concert and the Ahmet Ertugun concert, so it's 2 gigs. Plus Page & JPJ had him in on the sessions when they were thinking of doing LZ without Plant.
I agree ban all phone with cameras and all pocket cameras at all live venues only allow cameras ok'd by the band themselves if they are doing a live video. Anyone who brings their iPhone should be forced to leave it a check in desk. I pay big bucks to see live bands not second hand footage through the backside of some cunts iPhone blocking my view of the real thing because they can't get off on the real thing anymore , it's especially crapy when it happens at a live event of a rock icon who might be touring for much longer.
I don't hate David or Sammy. I just hate this video. Theres 20 plus minutes I'll never get back. Don't give up your day job, unless it involves video in some way. In that case....move on
the lead singer that ruined van halen turned them into a pop band. im not being a hater really but thay sound like crap but they just formed and need to really tighten up.sammy has had no success since he left halen.

Awesome musicians, I can feel their passion for music !
+Claude Hachey I THINK YOUR FEELING CONSTIPATED
Sammy and Michael true legends!!!!! Old school rockers at their best!
Rudy Salinas They sounded great. I'd be happy with this being their swan song.
couldn't have said it any better, I love the mighty VH with all 3 singers as long as they keep rocking it out. don't like all the negative stuff, just wish they all could get along, VH family is big world wide.
marioredsox@gmail.com Mario Absolutely agree!!
Love to see this show !! Thanks for posting...
MrJp5150 It was an awesome show! The audio (same set, different date) is released as a live album.
Cool, I will check in to that, Thanks
House of Blues is very nice. thanks
Seeing him on June 20th (I think...better double check). Same tour. Thanks for the preview!
BeerMan It was an awesome show! You're going to love it!
That was freaking brilliant!!! going to have to find the entire concert now

Robert Lacroix Extreme would be an amazing opening act for a bigger Circle tour in the states.
I was in Orlando at this time but unfortunately couldn't go to the show. Thank you for the video! Great moments!

: ) Thanks for all the vlogs.....you guys deserve a long nap....LOL
Tammie Rasmussen Thanks! It's been nap time the last couple of days and recharging for a long run of Star Wars Weekends and other fun things!
Cool video. Thanks for sharing!!!!

ViewFromTheCheapSeats answer to your question? Simple, because those people are stupid dicks.
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Hagar started it!! He's been bashing VH since his 'about fuckin time' exit from VH in 1996!
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Eddie is about the age to need viagra, Maybe his only way to rise is to put people down. Mike and Sammy are still rocking along , not skippng a beat. Love Sammy AND Mikey. Shit, I hope this band comes to Denver.
I love it!!
It's not a party 'til sammy hagar gets there !!
Sweet .. Sammy is singing all those VH songs ..
Michael Anthony's backing vocals shine again.
. b nm mom
Did Eddie stop by to show Michael how to play Zep ?
mrhyde2484 you beat me to that...lol
mrhyde2484 Comment of the year!
Kevin Salvini Kip Winger and then U2 is a pretty good slate of shows! Thanks for watching!!
Kevin Salvini ive met kip and have seen him 3 times, he and winger are sooo under-rated and under appreciated
no worries. great footage man. cheers!🍻🍻🍻
amazing show!!
Awesome stuff man!!!
That was actually excellent footage with only an iPhone! Great job. I'd hate to see what it would look like if I'd been the iCinematographer. ;-)
+Jeff Rush I LIKE HOW YOU SAID FOOTAGE NOT SOUND
Thank you !!!
At first, I thought you were that dude from Mythbusters.
10:10 The toughest bass walking exercise ever written.
There's Only One Way To Rock!

Did you by chance get video or a pic of when Sammy showed the car tag during Rock Candy? Great video.
Kevin J I missed that part on camera. I think I was cheering more for you guys at that point and didn't think to film. :/
That version of Dreams was really cool! Do you have more footage of it?
+StangQuest94 it seems all you van hagar fans have a pattern you were glad they turned into a pop band aren't you im starting to finally get it.
+mecha gojira69 Oh let it go. Can't you just appreciate the music without the Roth Hagar debate? It's not even a Roth Era song! I mean you're watching it too so why give me a hard time?

+mecha gojira69 Thanks but I'll post what I feel. I disagree about your opinion on 5150 but that's okay. You go your way and I'll go mine on that.
They were always a "pop band."
Sammy
Wow. First time I've ever seen Vic play one of Ed's signature guitars. 14.51
looks like a Music Man Axis40. Same guitar Ed developed
Jman3302 Technically yes, however It's not an Axis. It's an actual EVH Ernie Ball Music Man. The name was changed to the Axis after Eddie left.
I have to laugh when people post that SH is doing a "cover" of VH. Most people DON'T realize SH wrote/recorded the guitar parts/produced 99% of his music in VH. vid was fine, many were filming
Is the one in Downtown Disney?
StangQuest94 This was at the Hard Rock Live at Universal City Walk. I don't have any more footage - sorry! He does have a live record out now with the version included.
whats the bands web site so i can find out the tour dates
Chill dude, your life is pretty fucking good. And you have Dragon meat so there you go.
Well at least we know there's one (EX) Van Halen member that can still sing...
when did rob halford start playing drums?? haha
Yeah still love Van Halen!
David Thacker Greatest band of all time!
The drummer is John bonham's son
Jayson Plays Drums Yep!
Does Sammy ever age?
Who's the guitarist?
Roosevelt Burrell Vic Johnson. He's played with Sammy for many years now.
Thanks
Can we all agree that Vic played the verses in poundcake completely wrong.
+Devin Feldman HE WAS AWFUL FROM EDDIE TO SATRIANI TO THIS JOKE GOOD LUCK SAM YOU WILL BE SELLING OUT APPLE PEACH FESTIVALS SOON
Are you semi-deaf yet from all these concerts over the past couple of days? haha
Michael Warbux What? I couldn't hear you over the hum in my ears. LOL. Actually, the mix was pretty good at Sammy. My ears rang more from the second stages at Rockville.
Jason's a beast.
MustangRed1967 He's got some good genes for drums.
You got that right! great vids!
MustangRed1967 Jason is Rock Solid. Back in the 90's, I personally fed the guy 6 Red Dog Beers b4 he played! handing him the last one , hes like,"Do u want me to play good, or not!???" say that w/a English draw...lol
That is an awesome story!!
Sorry Sammy but your voice just doesnt cut it anymore.
even Michael sings way much better than DLR sings now
Ouch. Rough.
larkin10550 Not as rough as Dave's vocals on the new live record, for sure. Not bad for a 67 year old dude!
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Two or three tracks are not very good - all other stuff of the new live album is excellent. If you're a fangirl of Shammy - that's okay. But it's stupid to come up with "Daves voice, Daves voice" in every second post - so childish and laughable.

Wow, Sammy's lost a lot of the power that used to be in his voice.
Time to slow down a bit man....take a breather!
Captain Tom I got a few hours of sleep this week! ;)
It was painful listening to Vic try and play Eddie. Poundcake was completely played wrong, and let's face it, no one can play him - although the atomic punks have had some good imitators. everything else sounded good
He does covers????? but did nothing but 4 Roth songs , how fn disrespectful to the fans?????
I don't know how Bonam still gets gigs. He blows.
To consider Jason Bonham as a LZ member is pretty far fetched ... just bc he did one gig with them ....
dockaiser I agree. I love Jason, but it's odd to see him playing his dad's stuff and as associated as his dad with LZ.
dockaiser Actually, he did the 1988 Atlantic records concert and the Ahmet Ertugun concert, so it's 2 gigs. Plus Page & JPJ had him in on the sessions when they were thinking of doing LZ without Plant.

I don't hate David or Sammy. I just hate this video. Theres 20 plus minutes I'll never get back. Don't give up your day job, unless it involves video in some way. In that case....move on
That poundcake opening sound is pathetic
this was a lousy sounding set they need practice they need to tighten it up alot
the lead singer that ruined van halen turned them into a pop band. im not being a hater really but thay sound like crap but they just formed and need to really tighten up.sammy has had no success since he left halen.
Trash. Bar band at the best.
