    The Life Divine of Hymns.
And on the Seventh Day he created Brass Band music.
    And He was pleased.

Another of the great myriad of wonderful hymn tunes which have all but disappeared from church life and from the culture of the country in UK. We should try to revive them once more.

I couldn’t agree more! My three favourite hymn tunes of all time are Supreme Sacrifice, Deep Harmony and Fulda. Simonline

Just stunning. The first person to witness to me of the love of Christ, was a Salvationist euphonium player, by the name of Wendy Boon! I always associate this wonderful tune with her.

God bless you, my darling. I am so glad you too enjoy this beautiful piece of music. My brother was in a brass band and he said they always finished with this piece so everybody could join in. If you get to heaven before me, please say Hi to him. Sending love to you and you are in my prayers. xxx

My favourite version of this hymn , which was written to commemorate the terrible pit disaster at Gresford Colliery in 1934 , where 266 men lost their lives . I don't think people , in today's ' victim society' , understand what ' victim ' really means .

Of course they don't. We have come a long way but we must never let people forget the sacrifices others have made so that we may live as we do.

It is sad however it does feel like the word is used far too frequently and not always in the correct situation
