if you leave the wood around after you take the dam apart of course the beavers will reuse it to make another dam... I guess that is one way to keep in business...
Mr Beaver has earned a University degree for the variety of materials, including plenty of rocks, that he has used in this dam. Congratulations on your work Sir.
I thought the same. Clever beaver engineer decided stone, wood and clay for this structure would outwit clever dam buster! But clever dam buster will not give up.
Master craftsman beavers. When it's got mud, big rocks, big logs and sticks mixed throughout, you know you've got some old timer builders and the dam ain't going down without a fight. It was good you had all that water pressure built up behind it.
My goodness, the Lithuanian Beavers must be the size of American Brown Bears to have the strength to move those rocks!! You are an amazing person. I have been so blessed to have found this channel. Be Safe my friend, life is getting very strange. God Bless
American Beavers weigh 55 pounds and they are basically a Giant flat tail rat. Just think of a large dog in size. Then, consider that they move entire TREES into the water to place them. They regularly fell 16 inch and larger trees one y cousin's property. They are as good a lumber jack as an engineer.
All things considered, you really gotta admire how diligent these beavers are. These little guys put their noses to the grindstone and get to work. The dams are works of art, really. It's almost a shame you have to tear them down.
Post 10 has told us that beavers don't reuse materials from a removed dam. They recognise that they've used it before and it's failed to hold. They don't seem to realise that humans have interfered.
This is a good one for hearing the rocks falling and tumbling around clearly. Amazing how the beavers can use those large boulders and how the water can move them downstream.
Mantas, that was a wonderful job you did on that dam. It was so big and was holding a tremendous amount of water. Very well done sir. I love your videos. I hope your wife and baby are well also.
I like it, you let the water carry away all the debris. Especially, when everything, all traces of the dam get carried away. Leaving no trace! Like it was never there. Really cool and interesting to watch, like watching at 3x or 5x speed. You look like a cartoon character, and it's just so enjoyable.
that dam was holding back a lot of water, i was watching the water flowing out of the culvert and it just seemed to just keep coming. Great work. Now for the municipality to come and take a look at the damage to the road.
Mantas, talk about some large rocks in this beaver dam, I was surprised to so many and hear you hitting them with your rake as you demanded the dam, great video and have a wonderful week. David B.,Utah. USA. ❤❤❤.
There is a video of a beaver cutting down a pretty large and thick branch and dragging it, little by little, to make a dam. Very strong little thing. Amazing what they can do, they are builders🎉
I watch Matukas because he's Lithuanian. My parents told me stories of their Homeland and here I get a glimpse of the countryside. Your accent sounds much like my Dad's. Post 10 got me started watching this type of content
I think it is amazing that I can sit here in the UK and watch you doing your work far away in Lithuania - Internet is truly amazing. Thank you for your videos - they are very interesting, the filming has really improved tremendously, keep up the good work!
The evolution of beavers, their dam-building instincts, and adaptability is awe-inspiring. Now I see they're using rocks to reinforce their dams. What will you do when they learn how to use concrete?? (laughter). Are you ever concerned the beavers were re-introduced to the baltic states??
Beavers are very important for our environment. They provide wetlands to dry areas and promote life for the animals plants etc around the area. I can see how it would be an issue here but beavers are honestly a blessing otherwise.
Beaver dams are amazing. Even when they are half gone the rest doesn't just wash away. Good you are pulling it apart slowly so the materials can wash away and make it harder for them to rebuild.
Do you haul away the building materials that the beaver used, or do you just try to scatter it, knowing that the beaver can easily collect it and rebuild the dam?
Hey Papa, I think this is the first time we see stones in the dam build, yes? Those pesky critters went all out with tree trunks, stones, and mud. Where are they bringing stones from?
I noticed on UA-cam that guys are burning up all the sticks and woods collected by the beavers to make their task very difficult. You must do a video of burning all the wood and sticks up. Looking forward to it. 👍 Enjoyed your video
Wow, now that is how you take out a beaver dam. Those beavers will think their whole dam gave way and will hopefully move away looking for better areas. Very nice work!!! Great Job!!!
If it is possible I’d like to be able to have two perspectives of the demolition. One watching the dam coming apart and another watching down the creek to see the difference of both.
I have watched you I the past ( you would only jst enough to let water out and to me make it easier for beaver to rebuild)and was not impressed but this one you did a awesome job I willmost definitely be watching more often.
"The road's collapsing!" I saw that coming. If no one fills the hole with some gravel and soil/sand, the erosion will speed up and it won't be long before the road becomes impassable. Yes, the complete culvert needs to be replaced, but in the meantime someone should try to slow the erosion. I saw plenty of rocks in the channel there. An old friend, who had beaver issues year-after-year, told me that putting a little dishwashing detergent (liquid) upstream will chase the beavers away, since the soap would wash away the oils in their pelts. Just an idea; however, getting rid of all the beavers will be an issue for your channel, no?
I’m not sure what the legalities are but just in my mind doing this would fall under animal cruelty laws, would the soap wash off and the natural oils replenish themselves? Yes, but still not the most humane way, just trap and relocate them.
Since when did beavers become masons? Those beavers started bringing small boulders. Soon they will figure out mortar and cement, then we are all in trouble. :D
Seems like these beavers could not find many branches or wood, so they used a lot of rocks, mud and grass. Some of those rock are huge, how big are the beavers ?

anything for a good youtube appearance of Mr.Beaver.
Mr Beaver 🦫 might even be the underboss for the local beavers union as well 😝😝🦫🦫
I'm impressed just by the different types of wood, both natural and manufactured, that these beavers were able to collect and use.
Theyre impressive little engineers
That's one hell of a dam those beavers constructed. It's like a reinforced concrete bunker
Yeah it is!
I'm impressed with the beaver's use of large rocks in the dams
The mind boggles at the animals pushing those rocks into place.

That beaver went to the university

The dilemma of saving a road with a growing hole or a habitat for these creative dam builders
I agree also the use of rocks on the bank to keep the wood and structure from drifting away.
The Beavers down stream, be like! Hey, look!! New building materials coming 😂
😂😂😂
Thier home might of been destroyed they make thier homes afte the dama as they know the water will not flood the land after the dam has been built

That is one muscle bound beaver - good sized rocks in that dam.
You made some beaver very unhappy. They had a lot of water backed up. Another job well done.
Whose side are you on?
Well done by the beaver. Nice construction. Really strong dam.
I don't mind a good day of work as long as I can watch it on UA-cam.

From Canada, all my sympathies to the poor beaver.
They were captured and executed by the local authorities. They did not suffer.

Fabulous work without a college degree.
That was a very well established dam with so much soil and rock in it. It must have taken the beavers years to build it!

Wow that's amazing on how beavers used mud and rock too
First time I have ever seen big rocks in a beaver dam. Very interesting.
I had heard that beavers use rocks but had never seen one when a dam was being taken apart. Very well done. That hole in the road needs tending to.

That is the first beaver dam I have seen where they incorporated stones. I knew they will stucco a dam with mud but this is a first for the stones.

I'm glad the farmer is going to hunt the beavers. You guys need to fight back! Don't let the beavers push you around.
Where did the beaver get the building material? Stones, planks?
From the culver erosion. That was around culvert which started to erode.
@@Kenislovas The selection of building material was pretty strange.

People made a swimming hole and beavers made it better
I have already seen a beaver driving a concrete mixer!
Thats why they make dynamite
Yes beavers do use stones to hold down the dams but I’d agree these are a bit large, perhaps a friend of the beavers dropped them off 😂
Wondering f the debris that is moved and is allowed to wash downstream, does it build up again somewhere else when it meets the next log or branch?
