I think a lot of videos focus on Loki's pain, and I of course get that and love them, but there's something almost as strong with what Thor's been through and how his life has been turned upside down and how he has to live with such guilt and pain and remorse, especially when most don't see what Thor saw in Loki, etc. They just can't understand the bond a 1,000 years in close proximity makes.

This brought tears to my eyes. Damn, listening to this song and seeing Thor lose Loki is just absoloutely heartbreaking. And you know Thor would think this way, think only of the good times with his brother, when they still shared dreams and fought side by side. He needs all the hugs from his "Kristina" before the coming mess of Ragnarök.
Thank you so much! :') Yes, Thor knows who Loki has been for over a thousand years! It makes these last three years even more of a tragic journey, and a huge loss. I think Thor wants Jane to understand this, this deep relationship he had with his brother. If she cannot understand, Thor won't be able to share anything with her at all!

Bittersweet feels are here. Beautiful. Oh, what a heavy sympathy I have. Groban's voice and Loki movies flow together, don't they? I could cry during Higher Window for that reason.
+Melissa Alicea Thanks, Melissa! :D I agree. Groban is very classical, and I think he fits Asgard's style. I am glad this is through Thor's perspective, because not very many voices really match Thor's soul, in helping us hear how long he's lived.
After Infinity War, this hits MUCH harder... Good job, though, I cried the first time I saw this...!

His journey cost him both his dream, his best friends life and finally his own life. He returns to his family as a broken man and they question him endlessly about where his gold is and where Arvid is. This song is told from his perspective about when he finally breaks down and explains to Kristina what happened when he and Arvid journeyed to California to seek their fortune. The gold turned to sand and he lost his best friend. In the books he died shortly after this song.
Are you kidding me? How have I not seen this before??? As you may be aware, this is originally a Swedish song (and I am Swedish myself and I love that song). I had no idea Josh Groban had sung an English version! But man, let me tell you, as soon as he started singing and you showed the clips of Thor and Loki as children, I started crying immediately. This is one of the best Thor and Loki videos I have ever seen! And I love that you used Jane as Kristina here, that was a nice touch. And also when you had Frigga coupled with "gold can turn to sand" as her soul goes to Valhalla. I'm sobbing ;__;

I'm happy the english speaking world can enjoy this beautiful song. It is about a young man that left Sweden and brought his loyal and innocent friend to California during the gold rush. Things didn't go well and they got desperate. His friend begged him for them to go back home to Sweden but he was stubborn and it eventually cost his friend his life. This song is him returning to the swedish people as a broken man and telling them about his shame and regret. He had lost his will to live and got sick and died a few years later at the age of 22.

Oh my. Wow. I didn't expect to be hit like that! Poor, poor Thor! This amazing man who has been through hell and back and still stands with a smile, although his eyes are quite sad now and has a heart that is kind yet heavy. This video shows just how long of a life he has lived (compared to humans) and how much he has seen. Anyway, I'm rambling but this is a spectacular video you made.

Amayacatwolf Thank you! :') And yes. And poor THOR! He really needs a hug, too. Even if Loki's the one who experienced death, Thor watched his younger brother die. And Thor misses Loki. He mourns for him. He needs him.
