Is your vinyl version sped up from this video? My version on vinyl from the promo single is this song sped up. My CD version on a Virgin Records ambient compilation is exactly this song from the video- same tempo too.
@@michaelmiosi773 Thank you! I have wondered this for a while and your answer is the first I've received. It's a question about a rather obscure situation, so I didn't know if anyone else would be able to confirm. So did the vinyl version speed it up, or did the ambient compilation slow it down? What's the "correct" version?
I have heard two very distinct versions of this remix. This slowed down version was on the Virgin Records ambient compilation "Ambient 3: The Music of Changes." I also have a 12" promo on vinyl (official-- not a bootleg) of "Darshan (The Road to Graceland)" that has this remix on it as a B-side, though noticeably sped up from this version. It's the same exact FSOL remix, but faster. I am wondering if this song got slowed down on the version here and on the ambient compilation, or if it got sped up on the vinyl promo copy from Virgin Records. Any idea?
30 yo and still sounds amazing, pure masterpiece
Still amazing 30 years later !!!!
I can’t believe that it’s already 30 years old. And absolutely amazing!!!!
If I remember right this was my introduction to FSOL as I had bought the Darshan single when it came out. Still amazed by what they did to the track.
God I love this, have for years and never tire of it
neither do i .....
It's one of those things. Ambient music sneaking into every corner of your world. And you cannot resist it.
Mind blowing !!
Excellent choice of images for a marvellous track
I am thrilled that this music is turning up on UA-cam!!!........
A special record/remix - proud owner of the EP on wax.

@@silverladderAZ When I first heard this I thought I was playing my vinyl at the wrong speed, but yet it is faster on the vinyl

Better they did it than the Chinese army who marched in and walked over them.

you r probably thinking of the GRIDs remix? both remixes backed the original single
When I hear this I am flying over jungles and talk to red birds about love.
6:28 what is this place?
i have this
i!
Doesn’t sound anything like it. Sounds good, but there are no elements. This is a different song. And ROMA did not inspire Turantula.
