- Robert Fripp's "Music for Quiet Moments" series. We will be releasing an ambient instrumental soundscape online every week for 50 weeks. Something to nourish us, and help us through these Uncertain Times.
"Quiet moments are when we put time aside to be quiet. Sometimes quiet moments find us. Quiet may be experienced with sound, and also through sound; in a place we hold to be sacred, or maybe on a crowded subway train hurtling towards Piccadilly or Times Square.
Quiet Moments of my musical life, expressed in Soundscapes, are deeply personal; yet utterly impersonal: they address the concerns we share within our common humanity." Robert Fripp

The Robert Fripp catalog would take a lifetime to listen to.. that’s we’re lucky to live it now while it’s being released
Rob' does neither Art for the sake of art, nor of Art against art but for Art which has nothing to do with art, because the Art has everything to do with life!
Thank you, Master Fripp.
Thank you, Sir.
saw king crimson '73 at marquee club soho......best gig i ever saw
robert fripp is just incredible
Happy birthday Robert!!!
Now is the best time to come here and really listen. Feet on the ground.
And breathe. Naturally.
Thank you, Robert.
This man's music has held a place in my heart for a very long time. Few artists deserve the term genius but this wonderful man encompasses every aspect of that term. This is pure art. I love you Mr Fripp.
Jonathan carter Fripp is a Guitar god without being a Nob.
@@nickdryad Totally agree Fripp is a genius. Too. many guitarists just pick up their instrument and play really loud cos they think it sounds good. Fripp knows better
Now I can start my day with a peaceful glow.
Chill Frippertronic ambient music for studying
It almost made me cry. I wanted to let it all go. Thank you, Robert. It's exactly what I needed in my miserable moment of self-doubting at an existential level, and of thinking if I'm worth of something good. Compositions like this, KC and Eno/Bowie projects and so on are what induce me to go on making music on my own. Even if it will pass mostly unnoticed, your music is one of the many reasons why I love music as a form of art and how it can help me to bring out my emotions, something which I wouldn't be able to do otherwise. I can't function that much emotionally, and I'm almost always angry and frustrated, but music like this can free me from my fears and negative emotions, and let me be and live. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
La musique des confinements... Une période pour libérer le mental de toutes les intoxications que génère notre civilisation.
Thank you Robert and all the Crims. I have a dream where you will create the music that will fix the world.
After my 61 years, the emotions are the same and the music is changed
Thank you, Mr. Fripp.
Robert Fripp is genious!!!
God save him!
Greetings from Minsk,Belarus.
@yes man... as my grаndaunt did after about 25 years
My God this is brilliant
My youth was full of King Crimson, later by Brian Eno and obviously by Fripp & Eno, and now by the ambient side of Robert Fripp's guitar. This project is great, I love it. All the best from Romania!
I'd say your music is needed more now than ever
Beautiful, Mr Fripp!
Your music always makes me swim in the calm of the sea.. Thank you Robert Fripp. love.

Música para viajar dentro de sua consciência levado pela guitarra do Fripp.Muito bom!!!
Beautiful
Greetings from SC, USA. One of the great concerts for me in 2019 was King Crimson in Oakland CA (where I lived in the 80s) From KC, to Fripp/Eno, to League of Crafty Guitarists...Robert Fripp's visionary work has been a soundtrack to my crazy life. Now more than ever this sublime music is ESSENTIAL! Thank you, sir...and stay safe & well.
Eye opening. My old pug dog is mesmerized by it....me too!
Thanks so much for this, it's very uplifting, when listening I feel a wonderful sense of calm and peace.
In these fretful and worrying times these gorgeous moments allow us to stop, step back, and look inside ourselves to find places of calm where we can let our minds rest and recover. A musical balm for the soul. Ok I may be an old hippy ....but it is!
Like a gorgeous haunting score to a film One of many reasons I love music.
Your music is absoluty sublime. Greeting from Argentina.
Wow! This is why Bowie & ENO looked to you for some ambient guitar goodness!
this whole piece is wonderful...however, the last 5 and half minutes is just Sublime !
Hypnotic and alluring. I never thought I'd find music that I'd want to listen to whilst gardening. Magical.
In The Cult of FRIPPGOD !!!
So beautiful so pleased to have discovered this spiritual piece of pure brilliance and feel better in my head in these mad times we all are experiencing. Thanking you for your uplifting music everyone needs to listen it speaks to you I feel truly blessedxx
I had played prog rock for decades, I find myself working on my 3rd ambient album... I'm realizing Robert Fripp has led the way my entire career.
Just found the "Music for Quiet Moments" and I listended to all the music while I was doing this and that. Now the last piece so far has ended and I want to change my life. Thank you Mr. Fripp.
Thank you Mr Fripp!
Thank you Robert! All the nest to you and Toyah from California.

Always liked a mood like that. Spellbinding.
Thank you sir this really helps so much my turbulent moods.....
es muy especial este tema
There was a moment, long ago, early 80s, when I thought that this Mr Fripp was slightly overrated. The producer of one Peter Gabriel album, and so? The 80s incarnation of King Crimson was mostly Belew to me. Well, yes, I skipped a bit too much at the surface.
Then one day I heard 'Starless', and something changed. I looked up the recent KC recordings and Fripp's solo works. And now this here confirms that he has always been the master, quietly and calmly bringing his mastery to all. It also brings him up on a level with contemporary classical composers. (This piece here could be joined to a choir piece by Ola Gjeilo, by the way.)
Cis - the Crimson of the 80s was musically the same as Fripp and Eno in the sense that Belew like Eno is spacial and Fripp is linear . i think that this changed Fripps approach to music from there on out .
Listen to Lark's Tongues in Aspic and Red.
That was wonderful !
Thank you, Robert 🖤
God save Fripp
I giveth the 1000th like :) I need to download these , help me sleep at night. Thank you Robert.
Hi Robert No words can describe how relaxing this piece of music is well done mate and keep them coming kind regards Dave
Wow, this one is exceptionally beautiful, as i have until yet only heard by chords of orion's best.
This is stupendous; by far the most moving music I have heard for years, since I first heard Steve Roach's Magnificent void.
Thank you Mr. Fripp!
Greetings from Barcelona!
"Thread" (Fripp and Travis) hypnotizes me, and this music is full flowering of those moods of mystery and surrender. Looking forward to an album of this.
Mr Fripp!
You have done it again, this is absolutly fantastic and i hope that the "Music for Quiet Moments" series will come out as either as download or a box set someday!
I saw on Amazon that you can download each track individually. I'm sure that's true everywhere else also.
@@davidlasky9163 Yes, i found them all on DGM.
@@germaniumrocker That's the way to do it, pay him directly and cut Bezos out Fripp's rightful profits. I'm all for supporting the artist, and Fripp certainly deserves it.
You're a really wonderful bloke and a very good guitarist.I've got to know you and Toyah more on your lockdown youtube stuff. You're both mad as the mad hatter but lovely at the same time.Yes and I'm a mellow and mad Taurean as well as you both.
No joke, I think you invoked something into my apartment around the 18:00 mark - like some physical, peaceful presence! That was unexpected. I don’t wanna write too much about it yet, still exploring/enjoying whatever it is… 🤷🏼♂️ It’s not even like I’m into weirdness, either, so… delightfully unexpected!!
Beautiful, by the way - thank you! Lovely communal experience, too. 🤗
the first several minutes took me back to 'a scarcity of miracles'. That's where my first crush with KC took place
You capture something here. My experience was interrupted by a sudden meerkat advert. Some of the the sounds recall Hergest Ridge

Mr. Fripp!
This is Marvelous.
I always keep that in mind when I try to write music. You are an inspiration to me.
Thank you for being that perfectly harmonized channel for her (music) to express herself.
I am sorry if my English is not perfect.
Greetings from Spain.
Don’t worry - your English is better than a lot of Americans.
@@Ghoopty Thank You. I´m learning.
I love this stuff so much. I do stuff like this as well sometimes on my channel :) thanks for being a huge inspiration Robert!
He actually did it!
🌞
Robert this is super inspiring. Maybe we can have you on the Second Life Book Club sometime. Yes, book is in the title but musicians are also welcome.
Thank you Mr.Fripp

I am gripped by the material.
Всегда.
just discovered this series of releases. may be my favorite Ambient of yours since Equatorial Stars. i enjoy the aesthetic purity, Advancing the Airports aound to a somewhat more active role. So many have taken the Steve Roach Structures From Silence sound and advanced it to more active roles, but Airports, perhaps because of its era?, has not received much in the way of subtle progression, frozen in time like a statue as it were, not counting the vulgar affrontery of some rock beat versions. Extended "slowed down" versions can be quite beautiful but emphasize the stuck in time aspect rather than advancing the sound. while i personally find it unfathomable what you might release over the coming weeks, if it is working within this aeasthetic, i will be very pleased . . . well, i will be pleased in any event, but am just saying really like the vibe so far! and thanks for being who you are! Felicitations from the Shores of Haleakala *shakas* \ ' ' ' /
the first 2 releases were very Airports-like. this track, being more Sombre, explores one of the classic mood trajectories of Ambient. the Larks Tongue guitar is played masterfully.
Are requiems for quiet moments, though?

Where does this music come from? Thank you!
Thank you
nice to work to.
Can anyone explain me the relation between the music and different cities ( why those places? )? Thanks
All 'music for quiet moments' are performed and recorded live. Hence the mention of the cities and the dates.
wasn't that on a beatles cover or something?...

Music for dead people.... only joking. It's fripp without the groon. Excellent.
Ahem… So, I’m a little embarrassed to say - because I’ve been eagerly and vocally agitating for more Guitar Craft, in more than one forum, and pretty much at the top of my lungs… so the October event hits all the “REWARD” buttons in my mouse-maze brain? and I’m sure I could attend it and be fine: I haven’t been tested yet, but I _suspect_ I may’ve been among the first people to catch COVID-19 (long story) before it was widespread, and to have survived it (or whatever wheezy sweaty fever thing it was I caught) so I may have developed the antibodies against it and would be okay to travel, but but but - here’s the thing: I or anyone else could now be an asymptomatic carrier? so it’s not my own safety I’m worried about, what I SERIOUSLY don’t want is to be the fellow who brought down guitar wizard Robert Fripp!! or for some other attendee to be the stray cougher who ends an era!! Perhaps it’s selfish, but I’m fully hoping for several more years worth of music, as I suspect is the world. Plus Toyah and Rabbit would be quite lonely without His Craftness. I suspect I’d be fine traveling - and perhaps Mr. Fripp also feels invincible, after all these years on the road… but life has repeatedly assured me, NO ONE is invincible! So just to be safe, and I can’t believe I’m writing this - for everyone’s sakes, especially for Munificent Leader‘s… maybe postponing for a summer NYC event is advisable? If October happens I’ll happily attend. (Actually, I’m quite champing at the bit to play guitar. I’ve even specifically avoided NST: approach the whole thing with beginner’s fingers, I hope that’s the right angle!) But I dunno man… maybe this pandemic is a hazard to improvise _away_ from? I’m up for anything, I leave it to you guys… and I’ll get the dreadful brain-tickling swab between now and October, assuage my fear all Frippings might end by my single wayward cough. (Also, I’m sorry to post here, I dunno how else to reach DGM quickly, I’ll take it back down in a day or two.) Just please please please make Robert’s safety (your safety, if you personally mange this channel) the foremost concern as you weigh what to do! ❤️🎸✌🏼
When people take a postion on music, I larf innit. They fail to realise that what they think has no value. Either you like it at the moment you here it, or you don't. Never forget that their are only several notes available. All is piece and quite. Until the end when there will be eternul silence... unlessa tree falls over, tho'
I would like to know as of May 25 at 7:46pm PST who was the one person who gave this a dislike, and thought this was bull $h!t??
Someone with no taste I should imagine or ability to recognise genius when he/she hears it!
Musica da studio fisioterapistico…🤷🏽🤷🏼♂️dai Robert sai fare di meglio…
