  • Took mom and dad to Pierozek in Brooklyn for some polish delights. (Note: They have tried kielbasa (Polish sausage) but haven’t tried anything else).
We tried 6 different types of pierogis (1. potato & cheese, 2. pork, 3. potato, cheese, jalapeños topped with bacon, 4. potatoes, eggs, dill and scallions topped with bacon 5. Sauerkraut & mushroom, 6. Irish cedar, bacon, potato and chives). Mom and dad liked pork ones the best.
We also tried Kielbasa, Meat Croquette and Red Borscht (beet soup).
Mom liked croquette the best. Dad really liked beet soup.
They gave us free raspberry flavored vodka shots.

I'm very happy when Korean people try Polish food. As Polish I feel some connection with Koreans, because of both of nation has tough history and because of that our nations survive really hard times in history thanks to that they know what is hunger and can really appreciate simple and delicious food.❤

Many many countries have some kind of dumplings..and flatbread. I am happy your parents got to try Polish Kielbasa and like me..I prefer meat dumplings. I think they will also like the Indian and African versions of fried dumplings..samosa. So great to see all of you out and about again. Be well

The gasp when your dad put that huge piece of kielbasa in his mouth lol. My husband was Polish, and i had never had Pierogi's until he got me to try them. My new favorite flavor, he would have never tried! Feta and spinach. Absolutely yummy!!! With sauteed onions, and sour cream!

I find it amazing how New World fruits and vegetable became staple ingredients in so many different cuisines. Tomato and corn come to mind in particular. Making the world a richer place, one plate at a time!

Growing up in Chicago, we had some very Polish neighborhoods and my Polish in-laws took me to several excellent Polish joints.

Soooo many dumplings all over the world! Stuffing foods into dough is in every cuisine, and I'm here for ANY of it! 😋

My daughter eats sour cream anyway she can!!! I used to catch her down stairs in the fridge sitting down eating sour cream and or peanut butter!!!. Some times I'd catch her sitting in the sink enjoy it!!!. Like her last great grandpa!!.He would eat a few spoons of either one before bed and just looking the kitchen window enjoying himself!!. My daughter never got to meet him but she does the same thing!!!. So funny!!. Your family is so awesome and amazing!!!.❤️🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂

I know this restaurant. Pierozek in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I am Polish on my father's side and I really enjoy the food. I love seeing your parents enjoy foods from all over the world. Food is a great way to get to know about other cultures. I hope you all have a very healthy and happy New Year. ❤

My family heritage is Polish and I grew up on this food as an American. When I was introduced to Korean food by moving to California, I fell in LOVE with the cuisine. To me, Korean food is Polish food WITH FLAVOR AND SPICES!!! Mmmmm. I tastebuds have never been happier. My Asian friends call me an "egg". White on the outside, yellow on the inside. I wear that label proudly :)
