Another one is Elizabeth Tursubayeva from Kazakhstan for her quad Salchow, but she is injured till now sadly. Anyway, I am so looking forward to see the competition
I mean Rika did not fully rotate her Sal. And had only 1 good attempt. Which was underrotated. Is there any question whose Sal is better? If one of contestants haven’t even landed a clean 1 yet.
Both are good but different, RIka focuses more on efficient rotation while Sasha relies more on height. Though I love how some people are saying that Rika underrotates her 4S because she doesn't prerotate as much as Sasha. If you count the rotations they completed in air, Rika has slightly more than 3.25 while Sasha has more than 3.5. And the amount of prerotation is actually quite similar if you count from the moment they lower their body, Sasha just takes off from a deeper edge on her left foot and has a longer take-off curve.
Sasha’s landing is a little bit unstable,I’m not sure is because over-routed or any other reason 🤷♀️ &She has almost 1/2 pre-rotation.But she has powerful jump & high. Olesya But I hope the pre-rotation could be as less as possible. It might help she improves her landing. That’s not a very big problem, but I think she has good skill to be better. plushenko and her ac have been working on Sashas posture and flow! I would def check out the videos of the improvements that have been made you'll be impressed!
If Rika would just hook the takeoff edge another 1/4 turn, she would get quite a bit more torque and the same amount of prerotation Trusova gets and she would not squeeze the last 1/4 revolution sometimes. Trusovas is more powerful but Kihira's could be if she hooked the takeoff a bit more. Rika lands it nicer with more flow than Trusova....
It is not near downgrade. But I would at the quarter. Rika's was more effortless and smooth, but not as rotated as Sasha's. While Sasha had amazing height and power, but the landing was not as clean. But both have very impressive attempts.
no. Rika Kihira was born in 2002. She jumped 4S at the age of 16-17. The oldest women to complete multiple quadruple jumps were Trusova and Shcherbakova at the Olympics, they were almost 18 years old. Shcherbakova, who completed 4F+3T and 4F, was 17 years and 10 months old. Trusova performed 5 quadruple jumps at the Olympics and two 4 lutz jumps in the second half of the program when she was 17 years and 7 months old. I don't understand why people tend to insult Russian athletes for looking like disposable cups and curdled milk (David Lees said this). Didn't Rika Kihira retire as soon as she turned 18?
@@levinsky3597 You actually don't know what you're talking about. She's been out for a season due to a stress fracture and was ineligible for the Olympics because of it but she's currently training for the next season. Whether she announces her retirement any time soon remains to be seen. As far as I know this makes Rika Kihira the oldest woman to land a quad in competition. However, I now know Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Miki Ando have landed quads in practice while in their 20s.
Sasha❤ She is Amazing ❤
I mean Rika did not fully rotate her Sal. And had only 1 good attempt. Which was underrotated. Is there any question whose Sal is better? If one of contestants haven’t even landed a clean 1 yet.
I prefer Sasha
Sasha 💝
Rika's jumps are beautiful. She is such a gorgeous skater.
Sasha, great!
Trusova jumped much higher than Rika. That looks more beautiful.
TRUSOVA SUPERSTAR
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Both are good but different, RIka focuses more on efficient rotation while Sasha relies more on height. Though I love how some people are saying that Rika underrotates her 4S because she doesn't prerotate as much as Sasha. If you count the rotations they completed in air, Rika has slightly more than 3.25 while Sasha has more than 3.5. And the amount of prerotation is actually quite similar if you count from the moment they lower their body, Sasha just takes off from a deeper edge on her left foot and has a longer take-off curve.
Sasha’s landing is a little bit unstable,I’m not sure is because over-routed or any other reason 🤷♀️
&She has almost 1/2 pre-rotation.But she has powerful jump & high.
Rika’s entry is perfect & fast like 3S,but she has to be careful with her take-off might be judged as “Less than quarter missing” or “Landed on the quarter”.It look very smooth because her skill is good!
But you know that 1/2 pre-rotation is absolutely fine with salchow, right? Rika an Alexandra has literally same pre-rotation
Olesya But I hope the pre-rotation could be as less as possible. It might help she improves her landing.
That’s not a very big problem, but I think she has good skill to be better.
(Everybody know that ISU doesn’t care about any other pre-rotation🌚)
Same as Rika, her take-off isn’t the best now,but I also hope she jump better than better.
Bruh going from kihira's calm and angelic and graceful program to trusova's explosive aggressive and energetic program gave me a whiplash
I think Sasha is slightly better, more height and power, while Rika is a little underrotated but looks more effortless.
I liked Rika’s landing and air position better. It looked more fluid.
I love that a bonus for Sasha's quad is her old 4S+3T while for Rika's - her new coach ;)
Rika the best quad salkhow!
LOL it's 4S
It´s crearly underotated
Love both of them i wish rika or sasha to be world champion this year😂
Etot kontent nuzno cisto otkatatj.Ja dumaju sto Anecka sdelajet i budet pervaja.Ocenj hotelosj bi.
Rika’s is similar to Javier’s and Sasha’s is to Yuzu’s.
Rika has much better posture and the flow is much better. Trusova has wonderful height
plushenko and her ac have been working on Sashas posture and flow! I would def check out the videos of the improvements that have been made you'll be impressed!
Truzova 👏👍
I love the sound of skates coming off the ice when they jump into the air and land back idk why haha
sasa ist best
Rika's looked underrotated.
Sasha looks prerotated.
@@L.Spencer both are pre-rotated :)
Kihira rika~~
I’m not sure if Kihira’s 4S was under rotated 🤔
To me it should be at least a q
Sasha forever
Sasha! Sasha! Sasha!
Although Trusova at the moment has problems with 4S.
Alexandra had better 4S than Kihira, that landed one time in competitions.
Rica's 4s look similar to Javier Fernandez in the way they fly
both
SASHA'S HEIGHT GOSH!
I like Kamila’s and Sasha’s Salchow
If Rika would just hook the takeoff edge another 1/4 turn, she would get quite a bit more torque and the same amount of prerotation Trusova gets and she would not squeeze the last 1/4 revolution sometimes. Trusovas is more powerful but Kihira's could be if she hooked the takeoff a bit more. Rika lands it nicer with more flow than Trusova....
Rika 4s 180 underrotation
now it names lands nicer and more flow?)
Rika's sal is definitely under (near downgrade) and Sasha's is higher, sooo... Btw, it is the only quad that I like from Trusova
It is not near downgrade. But I would at the quarter. Rika's was more effortless and smooth, but not as rotated as Sasha's. While Sasha had amazing height and power, but the landing was not as clean. But both have very impressive attempts.
It was nowhere near downgrade. I would've given it a Q.
@@chrisresuta6675 she first touches the ice when her toe is parallel to the board (?). It is under, not a quarter at all.
Rika UR
Is Rika Kihira the oldest woman to land a quad?
Rika Kihira landed a quad salchow at the 2020 Japanese National Championships when she was 18 years old and 6 months which is older than "almost 18". Also, Rika Kihira is not retired. I have nothing against Trusova and Shcherbakova and in fact, I think Trusova's skills regarding quads are amazing but to state they are the oldest ladies to land quads in competition is just factually wrong.
kihira's jump techniques are much better than Trusova's
