Looks like it's going to work pretty good. Though setting up a new helmet with a Motovlog and communicator set up is always tedious! Worth it, but still a pain in the butt!!

Motoradds flex mount is the best, the adhesive promoter (included in the kit) makes a huge difference in the bonding.
I’ve even reused a flex mount, just peeled off the old 3m tape and put a fresh strip on and cut the excess off.
The excess wiring just coil it and cram it in where the chin strap connects to the helmet, every helmet I’ve ever had has plenty of room to pack the wire there and not cause any issues. It can be a pain to fish it back out once you’re done with the helmet and only because you don’t want to break the wire.
I love my Flex mount, honestly I look at the other guys and they STILL don't have a mount for this helmet so it it weren't for MotoRadds I would have nothing
I can never remember any jokes, maybe cause I drink too much brake fluid. My girlfriend thinks its a problem but I can stop anytime.

Good video bro, i've been keen to get a modular helmet, but with the purple panda I use there seems to be a lot of cable to manage for flip up chin. I'm looking forward to seeing how the hjc goes for you
Yeah cable can be annoying. This one is great though, I did just go back in and clean up my wires some more with gaffing tape. So far no hot spots and feeling good!
Thanks for the video! If i want to put the sticker for the controller on the plastic that is removed and let it prevent the movement of the sunvisor will it stick well or is it a big risk? I ask because this point is not flat.

What about any wind noises coming from the packtalk, especially compared to the original smart HJC? Do you know if the 45mm JBL by Cardo fit in the RPHA91 and ist the Sound really better? Cheers
There's no wind nose coming in from the packtalk so you should be good there. There is plenty of room for 45mm so you should be able to get them in as well. I've not used the 45mm but I have used the 40's that come with the Slim and the 40's that come with the edge and the edge is way better so they do always upgrade their quality
where did you find the Pinlock lens? I can't seem to find an HJC HJ-37.

What made you pick this over the Simpson mod bandit? Also if you didn't already have cardo would you have went with the hjc smart by sena for the helmet? I think I want the JBL cardo speakers.
I started with a Sena on my previous HJC and did not like it so I jumped to a CARDO years ago, loved it and upgraded to this Cardo. I picked this HJC because I've always had good luck with HJC (this is like my 5th one). Honestly I have not tried a Simpson so I have no opinion on that one. The first time I installed a pinlock, I must have spent 10 minutes calling it all sorts of foul names as I fought to get it in place and locked into the little tabs on the visor.
I'll have to see if Sena has something similar to the 2nd Helmet Kit. I bought a whole new Sena 50S for my second helmet (I also wanted a backup communicator so it wasn't a huge deal)
lol there is a science and once you figure it out its a breeze!
I have a HJC i71 and just recently purchased a CARDO FREECOM 2X DUO do you know if this will fit on my helmet.
it should, I believe all cardo's come with a glue plate to stick on the helmet, then it's two small wires under the liner and into the helmet
How is the Cardo setup with it being mounted further back than normal? Is it awkward when pressing the buttons? Any additional wind noise from it? HJC partnering with the other guys has me looking at other lids, never thought to mount my Spirit HD like this. And I really don’t want to stick it in a drawer. Thanks. Great video.
I honestly have no issues with it and it's one of those things where after you use it for a little bit you just get used to where all the buttons are. It's just training your fingers. There's no extra wind. In fact, there's no wind and a lot of that has to do with this helmet. It just slices through wind insanely. I have the same setup on ruroc and I can safely say the same thing. No wind drag
I am in the market for a new helmet as a new rider, I chose a cheap amazon helmet to start with and now, I want a quality helmet. I was thinking of spending the money for the Shoei Neotec II because I was able to try it on at cyclegear and it felt amazing and fit perfect. I just want to keep looking around for maybe a smaller step up money wise and I think this helmet, the bell SRT and scorpion/shark seem to have good offerings. This is a new model which has my interest, thanks for your review.

have you ever tried those eargasm or earpeace plugs? on that 2nd comm kit, do you get the better speakers like you do with the original kit?, i have the packtalk bold and 3 helmets, i've used those helmet kits, and i actually bought the bigger 45mm speakers and put them in..... "my pet mouse Elvis died last night............he was caught in a trap" hehehe
I have not tried the in ears though it's not a bad idea at all! In the second kit it depends on the kit. The edge will have the better speakers that come with the edge but the older comms will not
Can you recommend the packtalk slim as the better solution than the edge for the RPHA91?
I used the slim on my HJC i90. The short comings are the speakers are not as good, you can't pop it off to charge which really is better than making room for your helmet when charging, and the Edge has more options for use. At the end of the day though it comes down to what you think is right for your riding needs

I did and was able to get it back in pretty easy. I'll mark that up as being lucky 😂
I eventually managed to do it but It literally took me hours. There are two nodges one in in front and one in the back which the neck roll need to clip into. It is very difficult to allign them both at the same time@@BikesBeardsAndBrews

It's definitley a good feel, the ride review coming up I say it feels heavy on my brow but I definitely had it rolled forward too much, so far this is great!
