That snare tone is utterly butter. Groovy, nasty, funky. Love it
Fabulous!
I love this performance! The rhythm guitar really drives it over the top. If you think this isn't funky you have no clue what FUNK is all about!
The band is having so much fun ,That is the way it should be. Talented and right on the money. Been listening to TOP since the start in Oakland Cal. As a retired musician,I am loving this, Funk on..
KILLING IT!!!! Love the addition of the harmony vocals. Lead singer crushing it! Everyone in the pocket. So good. Very happy to see people a third of my age finding out WHAT IS HIP! Well done, says this Tower of Power fan of 45 years.
Makes me happy to see young guys doing a TOP classic!
Wow ... TIGHT! Love the vocalist, and the addition of the a capella section in the middle.
Nailing it. And there is so much going on, did anyone catch the green toy saxophone?
❤❤ Bravo!! 🔥🔥💥💥🎼🎹🎤🪘🎷🎸🎺🚨💜💜💛💛🧡🧡✅🔈🔈🧨🎶🎵
Awesome performance! Great job! from a huge Tower of Power follower.
so so so so so so so so so so GOOD..!!!
NAILED IT!🎺🎺🎷🎷🎷
The lead vocalist sounds great. Drummer and bassist are locked in the groove. Turn up the trumpets in the mix.
Wow, I'm impressed with this faithful cover. Considering the original Tower of Power version was released in 1974, the song's message has become exponentially more relevant now. The song was written based on an oil spill in San Francisco Bay, in 1971.
Totally kick ass! Way to go!!!!
That's a whole lotta joy there. Love it, especially the breakdown.
Sweet Jesus!!! That is one of the greatest funk covers I've ever heard. Think I prefer it to the original. It hits with more force, the vocals are miles ahead of TOP's, and the soloing fits so perfectly into the structure of the song you'd think it was a bunch of old pros playing.
Bravo, y'all!
Nice job! And you all had a lot of fun and energy performing.
I grew up listening to TOP..... my dad is a musician, and you guys killed it. Enough said.
That was very cool... NICELY DONE!!!
What a band!!! Fantastic stuff. Fun, talented group. Wow
Weelllllll Done. Great job!!
More bass guitar pleasee !!!
Amazing!
great job kids!
fantastic progress of your BB. U groove!! Great moves!
Bravo. Well done!
Damn it they are good, they are funny, they are young......AAAAAUUUUH MAMMA!!!!
Amazing job. Love it.
Holy crap!
Outstanding!
Nice vocals! My man on drums was killing it and nice trumpet solo, just a few screamer notes please!
Finally a band that sings the original third verse. Kudos
great voice and good cover!
I love this! I hope they record a CD so I can enjoy more of their work Beryl Henshaw

There is only so much oil in the ground
Sooner or later there won't be much around
Tell that to your kids while you driving 'round downtown
That there's only so much oil in the ground
We can't cut loose without that juice
Can't cut loose without that juice
If we keep on like we doing
Things for sure will not be cool
It's a fact we just ain't got sufficient fuel
Cause there's only so much oil in the ground
Sooner or later there won't be none around
Alternate sources of power must be found
Cause there's only so much oil in the ground
Yes, there's only so much oil in the earth
It's a fact of life - for what it's worth
Something every little girl and boy should know from birth
That there's only so much oil in the earth
There's no excuse for our abuse
No excuse for our abuse
We just assume that what we use
Will not exceed the oil supply
But soon enough the world will watch the wells run dry.

You can tell that to your kids while you driving 'round downtown
That there's only so much oil in the ground
And there's only so much oil in the earth
Sooner than you think there's gonna be a heavy duty dearth
And there won't be too much time, for no merriment or mirth
Cause there's only so much oil in the earth
We can't cut loose without that juice
Can't cut loose without that juice
If we keep on like we doing
Things for sure will not be cool

Great sounding group!
Can enjoy this OVER and OVER!!! (And DO!)

かっこいい°˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Emilio Castillo and Stephen "Doc" Kupka wrote this song when they was at the same age as you.
The guy with the helmet is my fevourite
Drummer nails it.
Sounds like Doc’s bari line was put in.
GREATEST is here❣️
I'm japanese .
Are those charts for sale anywhere ?
Where do you record these? Sounding great :)
Glad you enjoy! Institute of Sound Recording, University of Surrey
bass needs to be way more prominent
typical example of mixed for the PA, not for recording...
Paix à ton âme, Rocco Prestia.
Drummer needs to double his energy and his complexity to even come close to David Garibaldis playing. And more electric bass please
Bosh
Wow, never knew John Lennon played the saxophone
is her voice an IA joke ?
not as tight as top but nice.... nice vocals and sax
Good performance, but it's not FUNKY and SOULFUL.
Maybe that's what they're trying to be?
And..The vocal harmonies on the chorus are bomb dude.
@@ebjazz But they are not funky. Well performed, but not funky.
@@Veranek Neither was I when I was their age. Although I thought so and believed. As do they. Ain't many that age that are truly, funky. Snarky Puppy, for example, not funky.
I'll add this. When I was 23 and thought I was the funkiness, I asked a drummer who I was blessed to play with at a young age and is FUNKee, "What happens if you're playing funk when you're 50?" He replied "Eric, if you're 50 and playing funk, then you are FUNKY!" Looking back on my question today, I see how I assumed that funk was just for us young 'uns and all, and that of course was presumptuous. But this drummer didn't judge me like I was judging cats older than I. So while I learned something that day, I've learned a lot more later.
the arrangement was quite tight, apart from that it was a shabby bunch of hippies on the beach. You should be ashamed uploading something like that!!!!!!!
You should be ashamed of your rude comment. Maybe you should change the channel.
@@kevincboyer AGREED.......what a DICK.................I thought they..... S-M-O-K-E-D.........................
They're young students who are still learning, not seasoned veterans for sure. But you didn't have a be a dick about it. Besides it wasn't all that bad.
