My grandmother used a box of regular table salt poured in the driveway cracks right before a rain. It really kept the weeds down to almost nothing.
I’ll have to try that next time 🤗
Here’s a tip for the weeds, boil some water, add vinegar and dissolve some salt in it and pour it on. They’ll be dead within a day and won’t be back for pretty much the rest of the season

I’ve made a bird bath with my old fire pit, added a solar fountain to attract birds… maybe keep the pine cones and make a bug hotel 😊

We have two pine trees in our front yard and those pine needles are no joke to rake up, my husband is jumping in the trash can to push them down😂to make room for more-these are my favorite videos of yours-anything outside ♥️♥️
Derek usually jumps in the trash can too, but he wasn’t home when I was filming this lol

I’ve only been able to get some yard work done here in western NY. The weather is so back and forth. I did get to mow once but now it’s so long again. Raining for days here now. Yard work is def physically taxing but I do love it! 😊

Good job, Megan, the driveway looks good. My husband puts gasoline on those cracks, in a day or 2 you can just sweep them up! The rust might stain the driveway, I would of hosed it off! But a good job in all, & yes it is tiresome for sure! You have muscles! Thanks for sharing! ♥️😉🫂🐾🐾🦉🍄🟫🌹🌺

The weather is so up & down here so we've had to do yard work in segments...We've cleared up leaves, limbs, and debris...Next is mulch BUT IT KEEPS RAINING!!!
I need to weed and powereash the patio & driveway so praying it'll warm up & no more rain so I can get it done!

Wow! You Go Mama! Thanks for the motivation Megan I actually have Mulch I need to put on our backwall planters Area so the weeds don't grow as bad and it's pretty easy to pull out I heard someone on UA-cam Gardeners when you put mulch of a layer of about 2 and half or 3 inches weeds does grow as fast what's when he did on his garden beds so I might actually do that as well!!! We have some already mulch in it but I'll have to add some more because we live in Arizona so it's gonna be so 🔥 Hot Hot Hot outside to do yard work!!! Specially Summer is coming!!!

We just buy soil from the hardware store lol. I don’t have a green thumb, and I’m not super interested in gardening, so I just try to make it as easy on myself as possible

Love watching these spring videos. In New Zealand its Autumn and getting colder and darker again so it makes me feel like Summer isnt over. I did the end of Summer gardening two weeks ago before the rains came so i am weed free for now. I put boilong water down the cracks in the path to kill weeds at the roots. And with some of the wider cracks i sprinkle Alysium seed down them so flowers grow out in the spring. One even has a Dahlia growing out of it although i dont know how the bulb got down into it?
I’ve been seeing a lot of recommendations about boiling water & salt. We might try that after we pressure wash the driveway

I'm hoping to get some yard work done this weekend. It has rained all week but it's supposed to be sunny this weekend.
It has rained a lot here too 😭 I want to clean up our back patio & finish that landscaping, but I haven’t been able to with all of the back & forth weather

If you didn’t have the fir cones in the bin you could have strimmed all the leaves to mulch so the bin wouldn’t be as full and you get more space in the bin

I need those pine needles for my shrub beds! You did a great job looks beautiful, your neighbors will be proud. You need to wear gloves next time. Preserve your skin.

Too bad you didn’t use that fire pit as a planter wish I could have gotten my hands on it, plus maybe you need to invest in a blower for those pine needles plus a garden cart for moving heavy stuff “just a suggestion!’

My front yard is bad. We still have dead trees, where they knocked them down to put the house here. One guy down the street used to come and get firewood out of it. I’m not sure there’s any good wood left. That’s what I see everyday. I haven’t planted one thing in my yard. I’m afraid it will die. We can’t get a well. We have our water trucked in. So we’re kind of stingy with what we use water for. We don’t even wash our truck here. I have a plant in a pot that my daughter got me last year. I bring it inside when it gets below 50 degrees. The rest of the time it stays on my back porch. It already has buds on it to bloom soon, I hope. They only last one day. I’m not sure what kind last longer. We don’t have trash cans. We take our stuff to the dump. We live in the country. And we have a rock driveway. I can’t imagine trying to get a full trash can down our driveway. People who have cement driveways have trash cans out. But the dump is close. So it’s not bad. If it wasn’t for weeds we would not have much green. Our backyard is starting to come in after three years. It’s not too big. And it was all mud, and pea gravel. Now we do have some grass. I just hope it’s still here come August. My husband is going to chop some trees down tomorrow. I’ll stay inside or go out and play with the new kittens one of the cats just had. It’s been raining here a lot. So we drug the old house out and put the kittens in it the other night. So they are nice and dry. And comfy on a mat we bought a bunch of mats for the cats to lay on to keep warm. They are started out feral cats. But most of them will come near me now. I feed them and give them treats everyday. I bet you were tired. That was a lot of hard work.

I just came across your video and wanted to say good job. We have 2 neighbors 1 is across the street and the other is across from our driveway, next door. They are so trashy, they never clean the yard and no lie 1 neighbor next to us has black trash bag up to their windows in the driveway, plus they only mow twice the whole summer, it really ruins the whole look of our street,
Have you tried calling the city on them? It might motivate them to clean up the lawn to avoid fines

Warum schmeißt du die Kiefernzapfen in die Tonne? Du hast doch eine Feuerschale und da kannst du doch genau diese Zapfen als Feueranzünder nehmen. Ebenso könntest du die Feuerschale mit hitzebeständiger Farbe wieder neu anstreichen und somit weiter benutzen. Schon mal etwas von Nachhaltigkeit gehört? Grüße aus Deutschland.
