Yason, I feel like this house is breathing a sigh of relief to finally have someone caring for it. It's a labor of love on your part, for sure, and the results are going to be spectacular!
"Time to make the Donuts" Had me laughing so much my wife came to see what was going on. I say this and no one understands... I Love it Keep up the good times!
Yes I had one that sat in the garage forever and a day. I put it for free on marketplace and it was like 10 minutes before someone said they'd come get it. I thought I'd be stuck with having to hold onto the thing. I'm holding onto some other crap though because the cost of taking things to the dump is kinda dear.
Seriously, you're doing great. Keep up the hard work. You got the worst most time-sensitive stuff done (for now) breath a sigh of relief and then get back to it. Again, you're doing fantastic work saving an older building and giving it the love and attention it needs.
That building is so big you could make apartments, or condos also rent rooms as office spaces for doctors, dentists, lawyers you name it great building 👍
YASON! Glad to see the sponsorships and outside support coming in! I cracked up when you said the hoop was tetanus-y 😂. So excited seeing things come together for you! YAY!! ❤❤
You’re doing such an amazing job! Don’t strive for perfection at first. It does my heart good to know I’m not alone in the struggles of home ownership. When I bought my first home my Dad told me to do the best I can at the time (tweaking to perfection can come later) because ”nobody will notice at ninety miles per hour” - meaning most people don’t look that intensely. Project is really taking shape.
Jason it does make a difference that you're cleaning along the way🌻Working in a clean environment is much safer, less debris to fly up at you, or step on or breathe in. Working clean helps to maintain order. So every little job towards the end goal helps. RIP Dirt Devil, you had a good run🪦See you Monday.
Good vid. Branch manager/ inspector MUST be listened to. 😅 Good getting that basketball hoop taken care of. Rain. Yes. Time for more inside stuff, as no leaks mentioned I'm guessing that means all the roof fixes are working!? Dirt devil. Yes they tend to give it up suddenly but sometimes it's a simple internal fuse that's easily swapped out if you know what to look for. Utube vids on how. IF you'll be removing partitions you'll probably want to remove that carpeting anyway. Get yourself a carpet removal tool set and save yourself some pain if you do. Also, additionally, some hooked roofing box cutter blades are ideal for cutting through carpets. Especially from the back once a corner is started. Ask me how I know. 😅 The tool set will include a couple of different sized tack removal tools and a staple removal tool for the under padding. A claw hammer and a 1" or 2" spackling tool are great for lifting the furring strips around the edges. Don't waste money on a rug cleaner ( rental or purchase) if not keeping carpets. IF you decide you must clean carpets ...add 3 things to the cleaning solution for best stain removal ..1) oxyclean 2) dawn just a few drops 3) hydrogen peroxide or "ka-boom". That combo usually does an amazing job. Chair. That will come in handy. Auger & mower...gotta have what you need now for jobs while the sun shines. See you next time
Thanks! Yeah I think the carpet should go. If it extended the whole way maybe keep it. But there is that linoleum section cut out which makes it difficult to want to keep it.
I really wish you hadn't shown me that whole second floor. The former dance teacher in me kept saying, you could get _two_ really nice practice rooms out of that floor! 😂
Hi, Yason. I've been watching since almost the beginning of your renovation journey. I have watched videos where you ask followers what they prefer. I'm finally going to give my 2 cents worth. This video was an easy click and watch because it was a shorter one. With all of my renovation channels, if I see a video longer than 25 minutes, I may or may not click and watch. Not trying to be negative. Just trying to be honest. Also, I'm not surprised your dirt devil died. I saw the floor you cleaned and I'm practically yelling for you to use a shop vacation first !!🤣 Keep up the good work and enjoy time with your family.
The room looks way better. I always tell hubby (who is a bit of a perfectionist) that if it looks good going by at 15 miles an hour, it’s good enough. Nobody looks as closely at what you’ve done as you do while you’re doing it. (Not even you.) It’s a lesson I learned making quilts. That 1/8” overlap isn’t a big deal, so don’t let perfect be the enemy of good enough. Also, if you could just sweep and vacuum the school and be done with it, it wouldn’t be an interesting project, would it? 😂
Hey Jason, anything done is an accomplishment. Great to see some goodies coming in especially the chair to take a break in. Have great weekend see ya Monday
Assistant branch manager deserves employee of the month 😂 A nice one page copy sketch type thing pf the original building would look nice in a good frame hanging up somewhere in your home. 😊
You need a recliner at the scholol for chilling during the work times. I would find a room and set up a office with a fridge and microwave and water cooler so you can have a place to grab snacks and have a white board with a to do liste and supply list. Place is coming along. Be nice if you could set up a apartment to live on site and not pay some one elses mortage.
Excellent Take breaks in the new chair 😴 Have family visiting next week so the painting is on hold 😣 Have a pantry with the cheap no primer paint and the outside wall is to the West and it’s getting Hot in there 🥵 Can I say in a polite way Nice to see you but I have things to get done! Don’t mind the mess! 🤦🏻♀️😂 I ll just wait 😣
I'd keep the walls and make them guest bedrooms away the main sector of your home especially if it's family members staying over , use it as a granny annex if your parents require assisted living accommodation for their later years or use it as office space or a rental property to boost your income .
I love that commercial. Wonderful video. Inspectors can be challenging at the best of times. Thank you for sharing. Have. Wonder weekend. Everyone stay, warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Tip for faster cleaning all those rooms. Electric leaf blower will save you hour of vacuuming all the big items up. We do this on house cleanouts. Really helps make the carpet look 100% better. Blow it to a corner then shop vac it up.
How are the rain gutters working now that you have experienced the heavy rain? I hope they worked as you planned. Watching you do all this work is an educational experience for me. Thank you for taking us on this trip with you!
On the plus side you could use the fixtures and fittings including the good furniture to use in your new home instead of buying it ,use what you already have on the property .
I’ll be looking forward to seeing your CHAIR REVIEW video. I’m am currently looking for a new chair similar to what I saw in your snibit time lapse FlexiSpot video.
If you rub fabric softener sheets on your skin before working outside .. it keeps the bugs and mosquito away .. it rained on this vd how did your gutters patch hold up you didn’t say a word .. about the newest repair on the gutter ❤️😄😄😄
You are doing so good at making it pretty again. The building actual seems to be smiling and feeling proud. Well done. Stay healthy, happy and safe always..😊
Oh my Jason, the inspector.... such a fierce devil to be hold....lol. Just as well, you got the green light to proceed. Unfortunately, all your equipment is giving in at the sheer size of the renovations ahead (RIP faithful vaccum). I don't mind electric mowers (or is it battery powered?), as long as you don't cut the cord as you mow. I liked the layout of this video, brief chat at the start, speed-up of work in the middle, and you came back to us at the end, well done. I look forward to the next instalment. Keep up the great work. 😍😍
Oreck make a great upright vacuum. They have bags. I find them at thrift stores for 30 to 40 dollars. They make a commercial one that would be great for you!
I can definitely picture myself living here, and I am exactly like you! I just have the urge to do everything but need to stop myself one thing at a time!
Can’t wait to see your gutter completion vid. Were you able to watch the gutters drain successfully while it was heavily raining? Also, have you tested the moisture percentage in the walls lately? Thank you for letting us join you. 😊
Get yourself a hoover windtunnel those things are great. We had 2 (i think both hoovers were windtunnel) at the house, and a smaller vacuum similar to that dirt devil. The teo hoover brand vacuums were used for the main floor and basement, they each floor had a vacuum to keep from carrying them up and down the stairs. The windtunnel has great suction and really gets the dust out of both carpet and padding.
Well your assistant Manager is doing a good job making sure you’re working. What are you going to do with all of the cubicle walls? That’s an enormous amount of recyclable metal and trash. To say nothing of the stairs you’d need to go up and down getting it out of the building. Unless you could throw them out of the windows, for future Jason to clean up.
Great that the gutter issues were taken care of with the rain. What a fun place to be working on. Nice the dog is in charge to lol 😂 nice preview of the chair. And wah on the dirt devil. Ain’t that the way! Eeesh. So enjoying your channel.
I bought my Dirt Devil in 1985, and it finally took it's last breath (sucking in, of course) in 2011. Thing was bulletproof to the end. I grieve for you. That long, you kinda get attatched.
When you do a lot of vacuuming the motor can overheat. If you let it sit for a bit and give it another try it might turn back on. Sometimes its an internal overheat safety thing.
Love the original drawings of the building. Hope you plan on framing them and other finds for a display area. I like when property owners find the original blue prints/drawings and frame them. I wish I had them for my house. Yes, the room does look better, one room at a time is a good plan. "Could buy me dinner 1st" - ha ha ha, nice slip in! Questions: Are you designating an area to put all the left behind furniture, items that you plan on reusing or selling? Did you ever tell us your intensions for the building? Making it into a B & B, event center or converting to a few apartments? TY
Not sure I may keep some furniture but not sure what will be the most functional, as for plans for the building not sure yet most likely going to live in it maybe do a few air bnbs not sure yet.
Hey Jason, great products you were gifted to try out and report on. Nice! Love your inspector taking stock of your progress. Hope you passed inspection. Regarding the classroom spaces you cleaned up. The spaces look great , from a retired school administrator. You rock!
It's time to upgrade your vacuum game. Dirt Devils are for ameutuers. With all that sq footage, you need a good old-fashioned upright Hoover. I'm curious what the plan is. Subdivide into apartments? Good potential for rental income. You've got good off-street parking.
YASON! love your videos so much! I dont want to miss them but in my feed I have trouble identifying the ones that are you by the Thumbnail! Need a strong identifying something in each one! seeing your face is helpful!
Hey Yason! You’ve been taught well, I’m very impressed with the way you clean and tidy up as you go. Really enjoying watching you in your journey.
Thank you!
Yason, I feel like this house is breathing a sigh of relief to finally have someone caring for it. It's a labor of love on your part, for sure, and the results are going to be spectacular!
You need to find a sponsor that’ll give you one of those big industrial strength shop vacs that you carry on your back.
like ghost busters
Your assistant branch manager is so flipping sweet
I love inspector Boost! What a cutie! 🥰
Man I bet youre happy the gutters are in a better state with the rain that came down. Yay for Inspector Boost!
Family visit = Free Labour
That inspector looks serious!
Add to your shopping list: extension cords, shop vac, insect repellent and treats for the inspector ❤
Love when your manager makes an appearance 😂
"Time to make the Donuts" Had me laughing so much my wife came to see what was going on. I say this and no one understands... I Love it Keep up the good times!
Im glad some people got the reference hahaha!
Much nicer and healthier too
Yes, the room looked better. Your supervisor won't fire you....he wants to eat! LOL I imagine that rain made you really happy the gutters are done.
Slowly but surely you ll get the place cleaned! Can’t wait! Have a good weekend! 😊😊😊
You can probably sell those old CRT TV's. People into retro games like them because they can still run the old consoles on them.
It depends. Some are desirable, some are not.
Yeah he can either make money off them or free labor getting them removed from the place. Hahaha.
Also, a ton of the old CRT's don't actually have an obsolescence date, so there's that.
That is the cutest branch manager!!!❤ Keep going!! Get some rest!!
RIP vacuum 😢 Another great Side Quest Friday.
That big room would make an amazing art studio.
I was thinking home theater.
Seriously, you're doing great. Keep up the hard work. You got the worst most time-sensitive stuff done (for now) breath a sigh of relief and then get back to it. Again, you're doing fantastic work saving an older building and giving it the love and attention it needs.

He can't due to zoning. IIRC it was in his first video.
YASON! Glad to see the sponsorships and outside support coming in! I cracked up when you said the hoop was tetanus-y 😂. So excited seeing things come together for you! YAY!! ❤❤
hahah thank you!
Awww what a teaser i want more more😂 great job so far, tell the project manager 🐕 keep you on your toes ❤😊❤😊
Time to make the donuts. I didn't think you were old enough to remember that commercial!!
You’re doing such an amazing job!

Family should be helping you!! Cutest inspector/manager ever!!!
I really wish you hadn't shown me that whole second floor. The former dance teacher in me kept saying, you could get _two_ really nice practice rooms out of that floor!
😂
Once those cubical walls are down could definitely be one!! I just got to be more creative on what the plans are!
I think u should keep some of those shelf’s if there in good condition or donate them.

Are you going to sell all the cubicle walls and doors and the chalkboards. It could help with expenses 😊
😂 donuts 🍩 I love side quest Fridays

Over the past two years I have picked up various Hart tools and have been happy with them.

Get the family to lend a helping hand that is what family does 😂😂😅😅

I like your assistant manager!
Hope all went well with the rain and the roof repairs you did.
Excellent
Take breaks in the new chair 😴

On the plus side you could use the fixtures and fittings including the good furniture to use in your new home instead of buying it ,use what you already have on the property .
Another great video, i like the Hart brand lawnmower i have one works great
❤😊wonder if you could use those book counters in the kitchen. Those are nice 😊
I’ll be looking forward to seeing your CHAIR REVIEW video. I’m am currently looking for a new chair similar to what I saw in your snibit time lapse FlexiSpot video.

Oh and I like the inspector 😂😂
Ok Jason, you worry me! Now mosquitos?! Are you going to live through this Reno ?! 😂
lol working on keeping all my blood in my body for this Reno haha!
Great to see another video, all the best Yason ❤
Oreck make a great upright vacuum. They have bags. I find them at thrift stores for 30 to 40 dollars.
They make a commercial one that would be great for you!
Makes me wonder if you sold any of the old school furniture that is usable, those partitions could be sold
I think it’s much improved😊
Every little bit helps. One room at a time.
It is nice that you are doing a home style video. Can you picture yourself living there? I have no patience ,I would be tearing down those partitions
I can definitely picture myself living here, and I am exactly like you! I just have the urge to do everything but need to stop myself one thing at a time!
I feel the momentum!
Can’t wait to see your gutter completion vid. Were you able to watch the gutters drain successfully while it was heavily raining? Also, have you tested the moisture percentage in the walls lately? Thank you for letting us join you. 😊
I see you’re assembling the flexispot chair for your assistant manager. 😄
shes going to love it

Sadly only a section of the gutters are done! I still have 280 feet more to do!!! UGH!!
@@watchere oh no!! Well
You will get it done!!
Good job!!!
Time to make the donuts lol
My dad used to say that before he would leave for work 🤣
Cool building 👍🏻✨
Cute dog 🐾🥰✨
Thank you 🤗
Thanks for the update. Like your nice home.
Thank you!
Love the Dunkin Donuts reference
If you are choosing between a zero turn or regular riding mower, choose the zero turn, it’s worth the money.
What a project to undertake. You are doing a great job! 😊
Thank you! 😊
There’s a market for those heavy ass CRT monitors. People use them for arcade cabinet machines.
Yes improvement was made!
I like them short!
Support ist kein Mord. Grüße aus dem Saarland.
Definitely frame those original renderings. They'll be cool to have once you finally complete the home.
Keep it up!! Love the three vids a week that we get. Wonder when you will get access to memberships. 🎉
Wish the video was a bit longer.
Working on it! its been a grind. I want to do some sort of membership but just dont have the time yet to do extra stuff for everyone!

Love the work!
A steam clean would probably take care of the carpet
Definite improvement.
Whoa cool building specs are fun to look at
FYI - Home Depot has zero point turn mowers on sale right now if you are really looking to upgrade :)
Yes! I went by to check them out but didn’t have any decent ones in stock!!
Hey Jason, great products you were gifted to try out and report on. Nice! Love your inspector taking stock of your progress. Hope you passed inspection. Regarding the classroom spaces you cleaned up. The spaces look great , from a retired school administrator. You rock!
What a hard working assistant branch manager you have!!!
a steam cleaner vacuum would work amazing on that carpet id bet
You might want to think about getting a dust pan with a 3ft handle. Should reduce the bending you'll be doing 😊
The aluminum one is awesome, Just gotta bend over, i had one with a handle it snapped pretty quickly picking up heavier stuff!
Be sure to call before you dig... err.. auger.
Hope it all works out well for you. 😀 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻🙌🏻
You really need me to help you clean! I can shampoo those carpets!❤
I’ll try to add my face in most thumbs! Thanks! The bell icon also helps alert you! Thank you so much for your support!
