Keep in mind that the people who know enough about computers to criticize you aren't the target audience for your PCs. People need cheaper PCs without sinking hours of research to figure it out themselves. Keep up the good work.

Mostly every piece and ever computer can serve a purpose, even long after their glory days.
And yes, an older machine can serve as a first gaming machine or at least work for Social Media and streaming or what have you not.
The key words are 'fair prices',and I guess his prices are fair enough.

I frequently have to remind myself that as I attempt to start a business selling PCs. But I am also highly self-critical and have fairly high standards when it comes to building even a cheap PC. I do the research and legwork of building a solid gaming PC so my customers don't have to. I am 100% transparent about what each build can do and that's what people want to know. They don't spend hours a day scouring eBay and other sites, watching hardware videos and devouring benchmark results.
People who can afford to build or buy a premium PC every 2 years just look at older/budget hardware as worthless, when nothing could be farther from the truth. They're just stuck in that feedback loop of hype.
I've been a gamer for a long time. I've done the early adopter thing. It is a great way to waste money. I figured out pretty early on you don't need to have the absolute best hardware to have a blast gaming. I'm sitting here with a RX 6600, gaming at 1440p and having a great time. Yeah, I gotta turn settings down and I'm not getting a million fps. But I don't need that. The games still look amazing to me because I started out with a handful of pixels thrown on a low res screen. When the original shareware version of Doom was released, I was playing it on a 386SX-20 at about 18fps. The first PC I built was a 486, when the Pentium was really starting to take off.
A Quadro K2200/ 3rd gen i7 build got me back into playing Cyberpunk this year. I played for hours at 1080p30 with the absolute lowest settings possible. I enjoyed the game. I also played CS2 on it, getting over 100fps. I'm not going to sell anyone a PC I wouldn't game on myself and the fact that my own gaming PC is a budget build keeps me in touch with my target market.

Meanwhile, Toasty Bros are selling entry level PCs with GT730s and old, non-HT i5s (that just don't even work well for esports anymore) in them for like $300. Exact same scam from Amazon that they've made numerous videos criticizing.
I sell budget PCs on the side and recently did a build I priced at $300. It has a 4c8t CPU and a Quadro K2200, which is basically a 4GB 750Ti, still has driver support and is more than 6 times as powerful as the 'good' GT730, not to mention the shockingly way worse 'bad' GT730.

Like you builds and your videos, well done. Giving PC parts a longer life is cool and the older games are still fun. It would be a real shame to give someone a high end expensive PC only for them to decide it's not their thing and see it spend 5 years in a cupboard. Don't laugh it happens. A low cost PC is a great way to start. We also don't all have money to splash on the latest CPUs and RTX4090s (would be great if I did though). Cheers from the land down under.

When you sell a PC, you do the customer right by asking what is final use of the the PC. Older PC's are what many people use as it fits the need. Gaming PC's are a thorny topic for most as at what game and level of play is desired. Most gamers want a 14th gen i7 and Nvidia 4080 but have budget contraints so compromises kick in. I thought this series was great as you were fillings the needs of your customer base with you asking what the intented use is. Keep up the good work.

About 2 months ago, I had a guy ask me about FPS on a specific game, so I started asking some questions and providing him with information. Please don't get discouraged by the snarkers! I enjoy all of your content, and don't know or care if your prices are low, high or just right. As you said, price will vary by geography, season, supply and demand, etc. The right price is the number at which a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept.
I actually got a smile when you pronounced Phenom as "fennim" instead of "Fee Nom". Chalked it up to that fact that you were probably in knickers when that chip came out. There used to be a "Cyrix 686" CPU, and I still don't know if that's a "seer ix" or a "sigh rix"? I used to watch another UA-camr (in black vinyl gloves) who, for years, referred to an SSD as a "soul id" state drive.
Lastly, I am always impressed by how neat your garage is. I have a two-car garage that 's so jammed with "stuff" that I can't turn around in it, and has never had a car in it since we moved in 14 years ago.
Keep doing what you do, and I'm wishing you and your family all the best.

If I were you I would not listen to the negative UA-cam people. As with Reddit I am sure there are a ton of them on UA-cam as well. I started watching your videos a few months ago. I never thought you were scamming people. 100-200 usd for an older pc is reasonable especially since you give a warranty and are up front with people and provide a full system with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. It takes your time and when you consider your time as well as the components and auto charges the price is fair. In other words comments about how you are scamming people are contradictory to comments about you are not making money because you do not take your time and auto expenses into account. Also if you choose not to account for your time and auto expenses it is up to you especially since working on computers is fun for you. Keep up the good work, love your videos.

The "you're overcharging" criticism most PC flipping/low cost used PC channels have to endure is usually pretty absurd. They see the best part prices they can find on eBay/Marketplace/Craigslist and add them up and see that a PC you sold for for 280 for they could have built for 200. They're not wrong but they fail to understand that time is money and in the end when you flip PCs you have to make enough profit to be able to continue. They also rarely consider shipping costs when you have to source parts from eBay. Add to that Windows licenses, gas, minor expenses like thermal paste, electricity, cleaning supplies. I've flipped PCs on and off for decades and there's always a minority who aggressively point out that they can build the same PC I'm selling, for less money. Well, duh. If you know how to build a PC then that's the best deal you will get. I'm charging a bit more because I've put time, effort and money into it. The targe audience is those who cannot build their own PCs. It is in the end not charity, although I always try to be fair and not rip people off, and I offer support if they have issues after the purchase.

Scamming people-If you cannot make a profit on the work you do,why do it. As long as your prices are reasonable for the market, you are not gouging. There are always people who want something for nothing.

I liked your videos because of how and what you do. nothn offends me, Your Just a regular guy doing these vids and not like these over the top creators which builds 2k-100k computers. I was once there playing on a 333Mhz pentium 2 single core computer with a whooping 256mb of ram and a 16MB video card in the 1995 circa win95 days

I understood what you meant by "scam" PC in that vid but I guess some people didn't so maybe you should explain it better next time.
I liked the series a lot and I think it's good for the channel so would suggest doing another series, maybe something like how much can you earn in a month flipping PCs.

Really sounded negative there for a moment "GOTTA spend time with the family" like🤮. JK🤣.
You can't put everything into a 15-20 minute video and what you're doing is great. Few people know all there is about CPUs, motherboard chipsets, ram, GPUs and all that. Practice makes... well better.
Love your style and content so keep uploading your videos.

I'm confused and annoyed by humanity once again. The series was great and I had no issue with the content whatsoever. I'm not sure why you have to apologize for sharing with others what I would consider your artistic expression and creativity. People are so ugly and I hope you are not discouraged by the unnecessary critique of bitter human beings. As a tech of 25+ years I don't think you did anything that warranted having to apologize to anyone on here.

What a crock. You called the seller a scammer and called it a scam PC. If you never claimed to have gotten scammed, you wouldn't have antagonized the seller after you bought it nor would you have asked for your money back. I'll remind you of what you said. Here is the transcript:
"As far as the seller I did reach out to him and I was very curious on um their whole mindset or what they were trying to do with this computer I messaged a seller on the Facebook Marketplace and I told him said hey you claim this to be an Lev gaming PC and that this can play all different types of games and I can't get nothing to work the first thing he says well you don't know what you're doing which he's probably right I never know what I'm doing I just kind of go along with the flow but still I should be able to at least play Fortnite or play some type of game but he just didn't seem to care so then I asked well considering that I can't get this thing working are you willing to show me or if I bring it to you can you at least get this thing programmed to play games he said nope that's your problem not mine LS so then I asked well can you refund it since I can't even get this thing running and I showed him a video of um what it was doing and how just horrible this experience is and pretty much he told me go bleep myself and block me that is a pure scammer and that's what you need to be wary of so unfortunately these computers are out there scammers are out there it is what it is it's not much you can do about it."
