With Leroy getting a body now someone needs to carry the cart badge.
Cleetus will have that body destroyed in a month so Leroy will be back body less soon enough.
They gave away Leroy Jr.

@altonbarbee8864 the car travels a few inches. With the body will come more changes. Body won't change till next season.

I've owned a lot of toys. Nice cars, fast cars, big trucks , big Jeeps... But my Vette Kart was the most fun I have ever had. Even a stock 350 tpi is enough motor to have fun when you remove 1000 lbs from an already fairly lightweight car.
You have not really lived until you've been down a dirt road at 100+ in a Corvette with no doors. And the looks you get when you climb test hill at Silver lake sand dunes, or float over a mudbog that is filled with stuck trucks and Jeeps, in a Corvette, are priceless .

I would have a addressed the likeness to Leroy immediately , because that's what everyone is thinking. If you don't address it , it looks like you want people to think it's original while knowing it isn't. The words "road race build" instead of "go cart" might have been a better choice.
Most definitely some talent under the roof of that little shop.. awesome job eddie you've worked your ass off and it payed off buddy..

That’s a nice roll cage! Gonna add some real body and frame rigidity . I am designing a cage for a 350Z with a LS . This was a great idea on some design . Awesome job guys!!!!! Awesome car but needs some more ponies!!

It’s not that at all. This car has been talked about for longer than I have known Cleetus, we just finally got around to building it.

I really like the MaxxECU. Dad and I put one (STREET)on our 190E. The software also has the ability to sniff and record CAN data, so you can do some really cool stuff.

That's an incredible Corvette cart! Very obvious the work is top notch. It is a little suspicious the RPMs drop with the clutch in. Hopefully not a crankwalk related issue. Better to fix now than at the track. 🙃
3.268 stroke of a 4.8 with a 3.898 bore of an LS1/LS6 would be 312 cubic inches or 5.1L for those wondering :)

Yep, it’s part of the dry sump system. Keeps the crankcase from being drawn under too much vacuum.
Anxious to know why the clutch was screwey.
We think we figured it out last night at the shop. Video coming up later this week or early next week.
Kevin, Can you please tell us what the Corvette Go Cart has for an exhaust system? I love the sound. It really doesn’t sound like a V-8. We have a LS Swapped Base Tacoma and love to make it a sleeper.
I think it’s covered in an old shop update video, but it’s basically shorty headers (added egt bungs and v bands) equal length 2.5” Y-pipes into a single 3” all the way back.
Haven't watched it yet, but id bet this is the real car cleets going to put that body on
No, Cleetus has zero association with this project. Also, Grant has owned this C5 Corvette chassis longer than Cleetus has owned Leroy.....

There is a drain on the dry sump that is flush to the floor. Exhaust is a single 3”
It's has body panels, people. They are not on yet. Testing and donuts first.
