I am watching your video after Helene flooded my neighborhood, about 25 people are staying in my house watching with me, it s a welcome distraction, thank you Sir for a smile, which are in short supply here.❤❤ Thanks from Townville South Carolina.
Glad that I could bring a little bit of positivity to you guys! Yall hang in there!!
God bless you 😎🤙🇺🇲 much love from Pennsylvania 🥳
@@stevemuller82muller65 much thanks @stevemuller. I hope that all who are effected will read that and smile, as I have.
Praying for everyone affected by the hurricane
PRAYERS for EVERYONE who has been affected by Helene 🙏🙏🙏.
The car looks good with that fiberglass bumper on it.Also like the 442 on it as well.
I'm glad you and the girls are now safe. It is good to see you got back at the shop to do some work on the G body.
I’m all for given Ricky a raise! Patriotism is a thing we need to be sporting these dayz. ! Cutlass Sunday,!... sunday.!..SUNDAY!
Well, he seems to work as well, unlike Eddie. 😉😂
Pleased you got through the hurricane OK. I watched the storm tracking and it showed the eye passed to the west of you by just a bit. Losing your roof would be heartbreaking.
kevin, your videos never ever seem long.. they always seem too short! i have an idea to boost view count with existing video... do 'start to finish build' compilations.. yeah the editing will be tedious, but you already have a few full builds on video, i can't wait for this full build all at once!!
We got hit hard hear in central Ga
You should see bout putting poly wear pads on the bottom of the frame vs letting it slam into the pavement if you ever get the tires off the ground. Will also help protect the coating on the frame. You should also look into electro galvanizing. I think it only comes in black though.
Invest in a bunch of plumbing bobs. Drop them off the frame and body in various spots along the centerline. Using a string you can then verify that everything is aligned front to rear. Setting the plumb bobs at various places along the perimeter a set distance off the ground will then also give you the ability to quick check the frame is still where you put it and has not moved. Paint spots on the floor for the center of the bobs so you know if the frame shifted on the lift.
Check out bending with Bendon as he does old school style frame straightening on 18 wheeler tractors. He shows several things for how they check frames for straightness and twist. Really simple and very effective.
I recall a seeing a 1980 Cutlass running in NHRA super stock class at Maryland International Raceway.in the mid 1980s.The car was a sight to behold with its giants wheels up launch, low 10 second performance As much as I love soccer moms engineering and 7 second performance, the Cutlass will be the head turner that brings attention to the high-quality work KSR does.
That little diddy about the flag got my mind workin' .
How about that song from Johnny Cash.
Ragged old flag
It’s that time again…same KRS channel…. Sunday.Sunday..Sunday… Cutlass Fun Day!!! Thanks for the video, happy you sustained only minimal damage..Blessing to those who did fair well. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!
KSR
Keep killing it Kevin. I’ve seen on some other channels and comments about Cleetus’ not being built with KSR and what not. I don’t think people realize how long it actually takes to build a 5sec small tire car. Cameron even said a year is pushing it. Real fans know you are busy and everyone gets to play to keep it fair. Cutty is gonna great especially with OG power plant
I had a '79 Cutlass, when I was a teenager. We put an Olds 455 in it. It had way more top end speed, than the car seemed capable of.😃Mind you, it still had 260 cid coil springs up front. Ah, those were the days! Also had a '71 Monte Carlo, with a Buick 455. The Monte was stable at any speed.
Some people have random stuff in their attic, some have junk there - Kevin has a WHOLE FRIGGIN RACECAR up there!!! 😂😁🤘
I love watching the bars in the engine bay come together a clean engine bay is a racecars place to shine!
Kev, if you're ever close to Lansing Mi you should definitely check out the R.E.Olds museum down town. Somethin tells me you might appreciate the history, design and bad ass Oldsmobiles
Hot dang! That's the Olds smiling front end I remember at Gainesville raceway! Dang Kevin, brings back so many memories man! Gosh, I remember Kimber in soccer mom before it was soccer mom, he had built a small block for it and it got into the low 11's one night and he was so happy about that! Y'all and them Rollins boys pretty much cleaned house every week on the bracket racing. Can't wait to see the Cutlass tear it up again on the track!😊
Cutlass is coming along nicely. Tech tips always appreciated. So glad you weathered the storm ok. Thanks for the update.
Glad you have power still. Fingers crossed still.
KSR Cutlass FTW
If it was a '70 or '72 Cutlass, I'd say paint it in Pace Car livery, but the blue really looks great. Whatever color you choose, it will be great to see a KSR Cutlass out there. We were fortunate too, here in Eastern Tennessee. We lost power for a little while, internet for a little longer, and cell service for most of two days. Other than that, all was good for us here, not so much others. thoughts and prayers for all those affected. All the best to you and your family.
Hillbilly jig, I would get the car frame level and square then 4-6 - 3/4" inch redheads in the concrete then chains and binders weld and fab away nothing will move [ratchet straps just wont hold as tight]. I would also used this method to straighten bent cages and flame anneal, I also only use 4130 so you know. When not in use just a threaded hole you can put a plug. Just a thought
Sunday Sunday Sunday……. And you got power and a roof……. Start to a good
D day……👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nah! It looks good! It always did. One of my favorite body styles.
I hope your shop, home & your family is safe from the storm. God bless you.
Woohoo 🎉! Cutlass Sunday!
I watch every one religiously. I had one of these in high school as well.
Keep the hatches battened, T/S Milton is forecast to hit on Wednesday as a major hurricane.
After putting the front end on this thing, I can safely say it's going to look F@@@ing fantastic!!!!!!!
ITS SUNDAY!!!!! YES YES AND MOREEEEEEEE YESSSSSSS!!!!!!
A full time-lapse from start to finish once yer done with the chassis would be sweet. I'd watch it no matter how long it was
I am still excited to see you and the cutlass on the starting line!!!
Boy I have to admit you laying that front end on there really makes that thing stand out,💯🤔
Great video Kevin, the Cutlass looks so good with its face!!
I'm glad the shop survived the hurricane and that everyone is safe. And now I'm REALLY excited about the Cutlass!! Now that the front end is mocked up, the magic is about to happen.
Good morning Kevin, glad to see you guy's are ok. Love your attention to detail and looking forward to seeing it together. I don't think Ive ever seen a Cutlass in real life, not many over here.
What Cleetus and Maddi are doing with the helicopter brings tears to my eyes
I look forward to these. Someday I will do this to my G-body. Looking good Kevin.
Man that cutlass will look like a sweet ride when its done. Keep at it Kevin, you ll get it!!!!
Definitely time to build a chassis table 👍🇦🇺
So cool coming along great
Glad you avoided the worst of H. Helene, our son's golf course in Ft Myers had about a foot or of storm surge, but no real damage (unlike H. Ian). But I see the possibility of a TD forming this week in the W. Caribbean/Gulf of Mexico, and that could evolve into a hurricane. Keep that tin hat handy.
Awesome job 👏👍
As an Aussie I’m hella stoked to see the front we don’t get many old usa cars down here well not the more obscure breeds , looking good Kev as usual 🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺 #winwithksr
Coming along nicely looking good can't wait to see her finished
Would love to see how to build a chassis table
I think Ford Velocity blue would look killer on your Cutlass
I bet you and Taylor Ray could jibber jabber awhile together 😂
They were racing partners in the crown Vic race. So I’d say that you’re probably right! LOL
Love to see the build really coming to its final stages!
Hope you and yours stay safe through the storms, brother.
Cutlass looks great and keep the blue
such a cool checkpoint in the project! Glad y'all are safe.
Can't wait to see this thing ripping!
All glossy black would be killer color
Been enjoying seeing the progress and it'll be nice to see you finish this car and get to send it down a drag strip.
Ashville is just GONE.. it's under a ton of water. I'm sure Ike from Cars & Cameras probably pretty much lost all his cars at his swamp property, it's right on that major river that always floods. I keep telling him he needs to build platforms with cinderblock and clay and get the cars up at least 5 feet higher but he hasn't listened to me.
glad to see shop is okay, that was a pretty bad storm ,some didnt fare to well
Thank you for caring :..)
Great stuff Kevin, I think you would definitely benefit from a chassis table, that front bar for instance could be clamped in place to prevent movement during welding, the same with the main chassis etc, I think it would actually save a lot of time in the long run.
Thank you for showing your skills.
Does help myself and hope more about fabricating.
And DAM that frontend looks mint. Hope the blue stays, maybe an underhood of red.
Lovin' the Pontiac, oops I mean Oldsmobile 442. Seriously though, this build is going to kick ass at the track.
So good to see your Oldsmo-Baby reaching maturity! Thanks for taking us along Kevin!
I hope you're ok. I see hurricane Milton is barreling your way. Be safe dude.
Margaritas and Kevin's Cutlass. What a great Sunday afternoon.
That is going to look so good when done....
Looks like you guys made out pretty good thru the storm. I'm glad all is well.
Thank you for the video. Looking more and more like a car.
The danger ranger race as left what it started from to full on modified lol I like it😂
It is fun to watch the process of putting your Cutlass back together after so much time. I'm Ready to see You going rounds at the Track.
HALLELUJAH, KEVIN!!! THE CUTTY GETS A GRILL!!! CLOSE TO DONE .....
Kevin, I was thinking of suggesting to you last video on the Cutless that you should build your own fold away jig where you have the 2 long sides 3 inch heavy square tube beams & the front & back ends hinged in the middle & corners like a V so that 2 guys can roll it to the side out of the way with fold down posts that lock having swivel castors or possibly winch it onto the wall.
Use Caravan leveling jacks under each wheel position on the side frame that are 1000kg each so that you can use a laser to square it up simply each time. If your frame is around 250kg or 551 pounds then you'll be able to place a car on it that weighs up to 3750kg or 8267 pounds.
Mark, Perth, Western Australia
Glad to see you're making progress👍
I sure hope you can pull off finishing the olds up for sick week man.. its gonna be a force to be reckoned with..
First off I just want to say sorry to anybody out there that was affected by the hurricane I hope everything works out for everybody and Kevin , you're just getting excited because you got the nose on the car so now you're seeing it, you're visualizing it keep up the good work and I'll keep watching can I have a good night everybody
Glad to see you made it through
Thx Kevin
The narrowed shortened front bumper really makes these cars look sharp
Hey Kev. Thank you!!!
Love seeing the progress. The blue that is on soccer mom will look amazing on the cutty.
Great job Kevin.
That frame is coming along GREAT !¡!¡!¡
Visible progress
The Danger Ranger is about to get real really quick
22:59. So close Kevin
Brother, hearing you talk about building that car with your dad makes me nostalgic for my 80 LeMans I built with my dad. It went low 12s between I got rid of it. We painted it a dark candy blue with silver fleck. It took 8 coats to get full color. Fun stuff.
Looking fast already!
Build is looking great/ progress
Nice progress.
I know I haven't watched in a while, so I'm kind of behind.
Be safe on the next storm.
Great to hear you came thru Helene without damage...Fantastic Ricky saved the flag ...Love to watch your detail work using the laser...Very exciting to see the front panels on the 442...After 26 years in Naples dodging storms especially while living on my sailboat, very happy for the 17 years plus in the Republic of Panama, Central America...Sad but wishing those who took the brunt of Helene a better day...Keep up the great content, Kevin...Do you remember Joe Mondello?
Gotta say Kev it’s exciting to see the sheet metal on the front of her. Does it have the narrowed rear bar? That front one looks so much better than the factory item. I know how much you love blue hot rods (soccer mom looks hot as hell) but this in high gloss black dripping in chrome would be killer! She’s getting there man, pumped to see those customer cars roll out the shop to free you up a lil bit more to work on your own ride!
Oh hell, yeah let’s go
Thank you. BTW, one of your t-shirts shipped to me in California in 3 days. That's great shipping.
I was surprised at 8° spring back!
Sunday 😊 Thank you for sharing, keep up the good work Kevin! Love the Cutlass videos
when steves and valls camaro is done and out the door I petition that Everyday is Cutlass Day!
I’m glad your ok.
It looks level, plumb, true, and square.
Yap yap yap get to work
Glad you guys are ok.
Glad you made out alright Kev, hope any folks from the affected areas are well, safe, and not too bad. I know thats not the case everywhere, and I hope if anyone has the resources and abilities to help out in the area...
Cool stuff. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Nice keep up great work thanks
Looks good buddy keep up the good work!
