- Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) are supposed to swiftly retrieve organs from donors. Yet, they're often havens for waste and abuse, in part because they can manipulate data to escape accountability, while vacationing on private jets-literally.
Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45) called out an industry lobbyist for this during a recent Oversight Committee hearing.
They need to recognize the white board as a sign that they should agree with her immediately. And apologize.
One of those "shut up and sit down " moments.
Maxine Waters need to understand the power of the Katie Porter White board and apologize to Ms Porter and immediately resign her seat in Congress. Waters had the nerve to dismiss Ms Porter because she was so effective with her methodology.
Katie knows these people aren't genius, they're just good at omitting facts.
Hence, the elementary whiteboard.

No no no. While I agree with you that she's awesome, people like her and Senator Warren can't be President because it would take them away from doing what they do best, which is holding all of these institutions' feet to the fire. Presidents are too busy with the big picture. We need people that can go after the banks, the for profit schools, the for profit prisons, the CEO's and the executives that are bilking the public out of billions of dollars with their schemes. We just need to make sure that people like Ms Porter have a very long, very successful career in the House and Senate.
Couldn't agree more. I love Katie and try to donate to her as often as possible. She's brilliant and a lot of us have the desire to protect her 2022 bid from a GOP that wants to crush her.

Trojan Horse Pelosi would sabotage her ascendance in the Democratic Party. She ought to be Speaker of the House at the very least. Accountability must include rules about how the company’s private jet is to be used exclusively for collection & delivery of donated organs. Shocking if that’s not already the case.
In my country, we don’t rely on companies transferring organs or donors at all. We use the national healthcare.

It's incredible how all of these CEOs don't seem to know almost anything about the job ( thanks Rep Porter) they are compensated for.
Based on this, you have to question their qualifications and actual professional experience. How did they get the job in the first place and how do they prepare for meetings/interviews? I have to ask because thats common sense and if you know that Katie Porter will be at a meeting of this type with questions its best that you are prepared with justifiable answers or she will demolish you with the whiteboard. Its a known fact.

And that's what the problem is. They're getting paid millions and millions of dollars each year while the actual workers are making slave wages. I really have no idea what most CEOs in this big business do. They have employees for literally everything. Their lawyers are the ones who prepare them to go against Congress when being questioned.

Thank you for bringing light to this. My dad had a heart transplant so this is a very big deal to our family. The sad thing is if you don't have the money to pay for the rejection medicine you don't get a transplant. They go over your financials before you're put on the list and that is so so wrong. Medicare paid 80% of a seven-figure cost for the transplant but only one or two did it help out on the rejection medicine. My family has been blessed we're not millionaires by any means but the buckle down and made sure my dad had his medicine each month and one month I picked it up and 30 day supply 30 little pills cost over $2,800. That is not right.
@@danielh234 It wasn't the medical bill that was the problem it's the rejection medicine you've got to be able to prove you can afford after the surgery. They went to make sure you don't get it organ and then can't afford the necessary medicine and end up dying because of it. That's the real problem. Hospital that did the transplant was great about hey do you want to set up a payment plan would $40 $50 a month be okay. My mom's like yeah. Of course more was paid but the point is they were willing to work with them whereas drug companies don't care they're going to charge what they want to charge and the heck with you if you can't afford it.

She's a good rep, I have no idea why the Dems cut her out of better committee assignments, and I'm a republican.
She was trying to be part of a 3rd committee and to do so she risked her spot in the highest committee she was in. Ultimately, she ended up staying in 2 total committes but her attempt to gain a spot in a 3rd committee failed.

@@chezmoi42 There isn't much difference, especially among those towards the middle. A few general ones: personal responsibility vs. government size and purpose/ Religious freedom versus the secular state/ pure freedom versus social responsibility/ are a few big ones but those happen in the Dems as well. But if your asking why a republican doest just join the democrats if they disagrees with the GOP, then the answer is practical. the Dems have too big a tent and the reps com from rural or underserved areas, and don't wanna dive into being an unheard minority in the country. There are no democrats that run in my tiny hometown in texas, and I shake hands with republicans if that makes sense. so if we were run by Dems, we would be forgotten. Side note, If the Dems broke up into say a Moderate joe Biden Conservative party and a democratic socialist Bernie party, I know many people that would jump over.

I'm Australian, I've been watching this woman since her election. I love her, she doesn't take any crap from anyone, she is intelligent, she does her homework and she knows her stuff.
