One tip from a MPC key 61 newbie… Use the List Editor on Overdub and use your keys to place notes or chords anywhere on the timeline. Even if you only pop in to that screen for a second and then jump back to another view, it’s an easy way to put notes anywhere without having the playhead moving.

One of my colleagues and friend is the CEO That store helped launch my music career because from there I got hired at Sonic Foundry in the late 90s. zZounds was crazy back then. I actually moved away from Workstations keyboards given that they are becoming less relevant today now that much the of he entire music industry has shifted to DAW setups with midi controllers. I have my 20 year old MOTIF ES6 keyboard in the closet that will soon be put up for sale along with my MPC5000. I replaced My MOTIF ES keyboard with the MOTIF Rack-ES. I also still have my Roland Fantom-XR rack. I recently added the Roland Integra-7 and EM-U Mo Phatt Proteus module to mysetup as I now own 4 hardware rack mount sound modules. I replaced all my keyboards with all Roland Midi controllers as I have the Roland PCR-800 Tier 2 keyboard and the Roland A-88 as my main board. I'm basically Hybrid now as I sequence my hardware sound modules in Studio One in conjunction with my soft synths the best of both worlds. I also have the Korg Triton Collection plugin.
@@BoloDaProducer made 700 beats last year 💪🏻 this year work on the business and getting fire at mixing I’m like 4/10 on it atm. But I have tuned up some meh to fire. I just don’t know some of the secrets yet. I would highly advise people to find engineers that do live reviews cause that helps with direction and in my case I get lil “your claps on a 3 there.” And you get to hear so much on those. It’s really strange to me that I don’t hear many bad songs. Mixes aren’t always great but there’s so much talent out there

I've had my MPC Key 1 longer than you I didn't even know about the warp or the half speed, or on the MPC One! Maybe you should do a video on that, especially on the 808s. I bought 2 808 expansions from Akai and the 808s hold too long, getting your kits today! I asked you before about the 808s being too long I feel dumb right now ... I've tried everything to try and make the 808s shorter but it's not really working and that part isn't on the MPC Academy Help BOLO lol
