@marcthompson4661 F them "converters". Go and compensate for that by getting some outboard. Quit tryna make my MPCs cost over $4K like it's 1994 or sum'n.
Yo, this new golden era ! Bolo the way you did this video is legendary. It will go down as one of the videos that inspired a generation, the soulful sample that you use from Splice the way you showed us how to chop samples using the new stem separation. I can see this is going to be, the beginning of a new wave of that true hip-hop. ❤#akai thank you
Bro common, new generation? by using old or already existing music from elsewhere. This is a little unfair, it encourages people to just copy other people's creations and make a few adjustments and think its yours. For its great creating instruments for Karaoke or covers. I prefer to make own real music.
For them to put this information out this early before NAMM and it’s not available to us yet makes me think NI has something big coming this year and AKAI wanted to get in front of them by getting the community buzzing now.
I think it’s genius putting them on same pad in layers……so you can mute things in and out to see what you want to take and leave behind before flattening it down to chop up.. On top of having it all in one pad, it also gives you separate audio files in your pool that you can put on adjacent pads to your liking …options
I tell people on a constant basis, how incredible Akai is as a company. If you ask them to do something, they generally do it if they can. The great part is, once you buy any of their instruments on their line… You are good for what seems like eternity. Because all of these updates generally come to every machine they made within the past seemingly 10+ years. So users of older machines aren’t left out. That’s pretty incredible for any company. Regardless, this is an incredible feature that I imagine so many people are going to use. I’m going to use it to suck drumbeats out of that I like and use them for my own projects. Very very cool. Thank you for the demo.
Oh....wow!....I'm an avid maschine user. Stem separation on MPCs will finally get me on board with akai products again. And the separation sounds so good too 💡👀
Let’s go. Wow. I’m so excited. This is exactly why I am so .in love with my MPC. AKAI has just kept making the MPC better and better. This is going to be world changing for me. I am even more happy that I got my MPC X SE than I already was. I am gonna be using this a lot!
i don't have one of these (at least this model), but i'd love to dump one of my completed songs into this and separate it out into stems to see how they sound compared to when i tracked the audio out originally i.e. if it separates out my bassline from a completed song, how much of the sonic character will match the original bassline when it was played & tracked out originally? if i separated out a lead synth in a finished song, what would the texture & artifacting be like compared to the original tracked out audio recording?

Excellent demonstration. I'm just confused as to why you say the feature launches in February but the official MPC Stems page says it launches in March and makes no mention of pricing, though you're saying $9.99, which suggests that outside of stems, this update will be relatively minor.
i watched this when you 1st dropped it and now that it's finally here and I have it, I had some questions, went back and watched this again and I have way more insight and understanding lol..the way you break things down in a simplistic way, a lot of people can't do....I was thinking how do you have all your stems and chops and how to keep your them organized. I was thinking about assigning to different PAD BANKS, but as you said, they are on separate programs

In Akai's video, they demonstrate why they put all four samples on one pad after steaming it out. This is done to easily manipulate the sample and select which stem to keep in that single sample pad.
Will you please tell them that we need to have vst3 capability on this platform. There are a great many native instrument plugins that I cannot use because they are vst3

Bolo! Brother can you please help a fellow MPC X bro out? I bought my MPC X years ago back when they first came out. I used it for about a year and then I decided to throw on the hard cover and put it away for the last couple years because I couldn't stand that there wasn't a built in tuner and many other features that I felt should've been available the day the X was first released. With that said, I finally decided to bust it out yesterday after hearing about the tuner being added and many other features that many of us have been waiting for. Here's my question.. Would you be willing to make a tutorial on how to install all the extra plugins and stuff that are available? I was able to successfully update my MPC X from 2.8 all the way up to the current 2.12.3, but there's so many other plugins and files that are available these days and I'm not 100% sure how to go about installing those. Because of that, I'm worried that if I try to do it on my own, that I may either mess something up, or just fail to install new plugins/features/content etc. and not even be aware of my mistakes! For some reason there's plenty of videos on UA-cam on how to install the firmware update, but I can't find tutorials on how to install all the other bells and whistles. Perhaps you've already done a tutorial on this and can just reply with a link for that video? I'd greatly appreciate you! Hell.. even if you don't respond to this I still greatly appreciate you. I've been sub to your channel for the last couple years now and have learned so much on the MPC X from you. The Synth Content is the main thing I'm not sure on how to go about installing. Also.. to clear up confusion, I only use my X in STANDALONE mode and I don't care about the software side on the PC. Mostly because I'm already SUPER familiar with FL Studio so for me to go and learn a completely new DAW just feels like a huge waste of time! I didn't purchase my X to be fucking around with anymore DAWS! I purchased the X to GET AWAY FROM the PC and to STOP using a DAW on the PC! LOL Much love Bro!

Dope video bro !!!
Will We Have To Pay For It Twice..!?!🤔🤷🏾♂️🤔🤷🏾♂️
We have to pay for the update to be able to separate stems?
When that stem separator come out we need at least 1 instrumental album from every producer. No more excuses. 🙏🏾
Agreed. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I'm definitely with that. I'm already working on one with the software I use.
Producers literally create the stems, why wouldn't they already have an instrumental available if they wanted to release it? Get smarter
